I know that there isn't suppose to be a bad time to try to change your life, but there is. This past week was it. My classes are ending this week and I have a huge research paper due this week that I have been working on and stressing about for a few weeks and working too. I also only have about a dollar to my name until payday and was not able to go shopping for better grocer... Tue, 8 Oct 2013 09:26:10 EST Jolly Holiday Challenge Goals The Jolly Holiday Challenge started yesterday and I've been thinking about what I would like to see change by the end of the 10 weeks. I have decided that I would like to lose 15-20 pounds.

I also would like to pick up a few good habits. For awhile, I was logging all the food I ate into a food journal. Even though I was the only one who was looking at it, the log helped me to cut down on snacking (who wants to have to write down that they ate 15 cookies). Tue, 11 Dec 2012 23:01:23 EST Time Flies Even if You're Not Having Fun I've been doing really well since I reorganized my life into a healthy one. I have managed to lose over 8 pounds since September 30th and have lost inches from almost every part of my body. But I'm not happy. I'm eating mostly right and have lots of energy now. I feel great after my workouts and am starting to feel like I want to workout more rather than crash on the couch like before. But I'm having a hard time dealing with the sabotagers in my life. I have the motherly type that seems to th... Tue, 23 Oct 2012 10:20:25 EST Day 10? To be honest I have already lost count of the days. Life goes by too fast sometimes for you to stop and count. I think it is day 10 and I think it has been 4 days since my friend and I started the Fab Five Halloween challenge. So far, things have been going well for me. I have managed to stay away from fast food and alcohol (usually only drink for an occasion or when she and I are hanging together) and have managed to stay within my limit for juice. I missed my workout class this morning beca... Wed, 10 Oct 2012 23:05:32 EST Friends + Weekend = FAIL! My best friend from grade school and I have a tradition of having a movire marathon at my place on the weekend. It gives us a chance to unwind from a hard week and be able to catch up. We eat junk food, drink a little, joke and giggle, and stay up half Friday night watching movies. We then sleep in Saturday, start to get moving around 1 or 2 pm and then usually do it again that night. Its a great way for us to be able to unwind but its also a great way to be able to undo a whole weeks worth o... Sun, 7 Oct 2012 09:44:12 EST Not Sure Where Days 3 and 4 Went! I've been so busy that I lost track of what I was doing a little. Had my workout class Wednesday in the morning then an exam for organics in the evening. I was doing really good at watching what I ate for most of the day until I went to school in the evening and had a butterscotch candy for something sweet to suck on. Spent some time with my boyfriend's family after and ended up eating like there was no tomorrow because I felt so starving and was craving sweets. The next day I came home and f... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 12:04:06 EST Only Day 2 and Already Success! Today's breakfast was a total fail, pizza and breadsticks. After, I felt rather guilty so I decided to drag my brother to the store and grab some healthier options for both of us. While at the store, I got the urge to cook for my whole family. Usually, I buy some snacks or a couple meals for me and occasionally my brother and my dad will pay for most of the food for the whole house. I got ground turkey instead of the ground beef my dad's girlfriend always buys and wheat buns instead of the wh... Wed, 3 Oct 2012 11:07:05 EST ... Day 1 Started the day out right. Went to my class and managed to avoid the doughnuts and sugary cereals on the way out the door. Stuck with the whole class even though I wanted to quit or strangle the trainer for most of it. I even managed to last for a couple extra minutes to complete a 5k. I went to a hair appointment after but forgot to eat before it started and was famished when I got out. Managed to find a relatively healthy chicken quesadilla to eat which stopped me from swinging through a dr... Mon, 1 Oct 2012 23:04:57 EST
