Wed, 18 May 2016 12:24:53 EST A brief note about today, 4/26 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6151084 Up at 5:00 a.m. to be at the polling place before 6:00 (DH and I work the polls, and today was Pennsylvania's primary). Had a huge turnout for a primary, so we were very busy all day. Closed polls at 8:00 p.m. but last voter voted about 8:15 (if they are inside at 8, they get to vote). Then able to start close out work, and left polling place at 9:30. On my feet almost all that time. We went to Josh's (grandson) baseball game late yesterday afternoon. It was a very good game - there were zero runs scored for the first four innings, then Josh's team scored two in the top of the 5th. The other team scored a single run in the bottom of the 7th inning (all they normally play), then got their third out, so Josh's team won another game. 334

I want to again thank all of you who prayed about the possibility ... I went to charge it again last eve and found that no matter what I did, the only way I can charge it is to hold the plug part in the Kindle - can't you just see me having to sit and HOLD it there?! Just a few, normal, will-soon-go-away side effects: scratchy feeling, tearing (liquid tears), and a foggy film on that eye. After surgery, Dr said it went well, and I did a good job. I thought I was going to be put under twilight sleep – meaning I’d be ‘out’ but not quite, and I wouldn’t remember anything. Wellll, not exactly. Thu, 29 Oct 2015 21:57:49 EST Can you stand another Josh baseball blog? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6021140 Just like we do all summer, we've been 'living' baseball this fall. I think this weekend was the last one for Fall Ball. Josh (15 yr) is a SUPER ball player - a catcher almost all the time, although he's been known to play 3rd base and left field. Now, I don't fully understand the convoluted way they figure the seeding, but it goes something like this: How many games did you win? How many runs were scored against you, then how many runs did you score, then (something I don't understand).... Josh is the best catcher I've seen. 41 Yesterday a pitched ball missed his glove, hit the home plate and hit his bare hand (on the webbing portion).
