I felt like I had a good week until Tuesday rolled around. I know that part of this 30 day experience is to stay of the scale for 30 days. Frankly I just can't do it! One, because I am part of a SP challenge that requires weekly weigh ins and two, I have a love/hate relationship with that damn thing and I just can't stay of it!! I am much better than I used to be. I used to weigh myself daily. Now I am truly just weighing once a week. Anyways... Thu, 7 Jan 2016 07:09:49 EST 3.0 Challenge & Whole30 Today I started the BBM 3.0 challenge. Mon, 4 Jan 2016 13:15:01 EST BBM challenge 2.0 So today marked day 90 of bikini body mommy 2.0 challenge. I ended this challenge with 5.8 pounds and 3.5 inches lost. Not even close to where I was wanting to be at by the end but a loss is a loss. I need to keep reminding myself of this. I know exactly where my problem area is- nutrition. It always comes back to the food for me. I work out enough, I do track my food, but it's the foods I'm choosing to consume.

So.... on January 1st I am going to attempt Whole30. I have joined a F... Tue, 29 Dec 2015 11:54:43 EST Fit test day! Still going strong on the bikini body mommy workouts. Today was lower body extreme day of the 6 week mini challenge. This was comprised of 8 exercises 45 seconds each with 15 seconds of cardio burst then a 20 second rest. Loved that little cardio boost!

I'm also on day 36 of the 2.0 challenge which means it was fit test day! My last fit test was on day 90 of the 1.0 challenge. The fit test is comprised of 8 exercises 1 minute each. The goal is to get as many done as possible.
... Mon, 5 Oct 2015 06:48:53 EST Fall 5% challenge and Isaac update The fall 5% challenge begins in 2 weeks. I'm hoping this is the one that I actually lose the 5%. BLC29 also begins in 2 weeks. This is a new challenge for me and hoping doing both of these challenges will help keep me accountable and on track.

3 weeks ago I started Bikini Body Mommy 2.0 challenge. I am currently on day 16 of the 90 day challenge. This one is definitely more challenging than the first one. She is also doing a shorter 6 week challenge beginning 9/14/15. I plan to do ... Wed, 9 Sep 2015 22:20:04 EST 90 day BBM challenge update Friday was the final day of the 90 day bikini body mommy challenge! I didn't end this quite where I wanted to be. I lost 3 pounds and 2.5 inches. But I will say I didn't give it my all every day. Tomorrow I will be starting the 2nd 90 day challenge. Mon, 17 Aug 2015 20:27:25 EST Measurements and such 2 weeks ago I started the Bikini Body Mommy workouts that can be found on You Tube. I started with her 1.0 challenge (she is up to 4.0). It is basically 90 days of interval workouts mixed with cardio days. Day 1 consisted of doing a fit test which included 50 seconds each of the following: burpees, jump squats, speed squats, pushups, plank, alternate lunges, tricep dips and high knees. Today marked day 12 for me (I missed a day or two!) and today was doing a repeat fit test. Below are my scor... Fri, 22 May 2015 07:11:49 EST 5% spring challenge and Isaac update Trying to get back in the groove of working out now that I've been completely cleared by the doctor. I did start light walking 3 weeks PP but am now adding in more now that I'm 8 weeks PP. I'm finding it hard to get in a rhythm of working out and eating right being home. I think being at work helps me with the structure of it all. But I'm not going back to work until 4/27 so I need to be better!

Weather hasn't exactly been on my side to get out there and walk every day but the temp... Wed, 1 Apr 2015 08:07:50 EST 1 month old! Mr. Isaac turned 1 month old on 3/2. That month just flew by. Unfortunately I think this month will fly by too and then I'll be back to work. After the twins I was antsy to get back to work but not this time. I would love to stay home or at least work part time but that's not in the cards for me. Isaac is doing wonderful with his weight and breathing. He had a great 2 week check up. He's definitely not as easy going as my other boys! He's starting to have more awake times during the day but i... Wed, 4 Mar 2015 08:36:28 EST Measurements and weight update Well today marks 2 weeks post partum! Recovery with a c section is certainly different! I'm feeling good though. Today also marks a healthier time- healthier eating and back to a modified workout schedule. I will be getting on the treadmill starting this afternoon. When the temps outside are better and below zero I will be busting out the stroller and getting Isaac out there in some fresh air!

Measurements:

Hips: 46
Left calf: 17
Right calf: 17
Left thigh:... Mon, 16 Feb 2015 11:28:30 EST Isaac update! It's been a long, emotional week and it's only Thursday! Isaac is still in the NICU but doing excellent. I came home this afternoon and it was super hard to leave him there today but I know he's in good hands. I just called to check on him and since his sugar was good the IV was lowered again. It's at the lowest dose right now. If his sugar is good again at midnight they will either turn off or leave as is until the morning. The doctors do NICU rounds from 10-11 every morning so if it's not p... Thu, 5 Feb 2015 20:06:02 EST Nursery Pictures Thought I would share a few pictures of the nursery. Thu, 22 Jan 2015 06:25:50 EST Baby update Still pregnant! :) I have about 4 weeks until due date but I have a feeling baby will make his appearance some time this month. I'm ready. I'm ready to have my body back to myself and I'm ready to get back into walking again. I haven't walked in a couple weeks- just too uncomfortable. With my age and my belly measuring big, I went last week for a bio physical profile ultrasound and a non stress test. The BPP measures 8 different things- breathing, heartrate, movement, hmmm drawing a blank on ... Mon, 5 Jan 2015 07:19:20 EST Ultrasound today Went for a follow up ultrasound today since the tech couldn't get the face and spine very good last time. Baby still didn't cooperate for the face. He was facing my spine and had no intentions of turning around! We got a couple profile shots after I switched to my side but still not very good. She even switched to 3d to try for a better shot. Wed, 1 Jan 2014 22:10:49 EST Love this! Tue, 31 Dec 2013 12:34:09 EST Some thoughts When I picture myself healthy, I don't picture myself at a certain weight. I picture myself running. Odd, I know. I do have a weight in mind that I would like to get to but it's the running that I strive for. For the last few years I've wanted to do the 8k turkey trot on Thanksgiving but you have to run it. I can easily walk a 10k-- I've done it several times. I've done several official 5k. Most weeks I walk 5k as part of my weekly walking. But there is something about doing the 8k on Thanksg... Tue, 12 Nov 2013 13:41:07 EST Stressful week It's been a rough week so far. I work in a family practice office with one MD and a brand new NP who just started seeing a couple patients a day yesterday. She will go to full days next week when I have my new nurse. Currently I have one LPN who is on vacation this week. This means that I have a float nurse--an RN. Now I'm not saying that an RN is any better than an LPN however, there are just some basics that even I know and I'm not clinical at all.

We had a patient in yesterday t... They are all growing up so fast!! 39 Wed, 28 Aug 2013 20:25:29 EST Funky week I've been in a funk the last few days-- not sure why. I just haven't cared too much about tracking food or what kind of food I'm eating. I have continued to walk so that's something. I had started a spark streak of tracking every day. I made it 22 days. I am starting the streak over today.

I think I just got a little frustrated that the scale didn't move for 2 weeks then it finally did last Saturday-- 1/2 pound only. We would love to raise that much money but we were just so concerned that we wouldn't be able to. With Making Strides, it's not only a local walk, but we can set our own fundraising amount.
