I have been exercising indoors recently (about 2 weeks), using an elliptical or the 30 Day Shred video. I woke up this morning, and was on facebook. I saw a status that someone posted, that they were going to run for the first time today since an injury. I thought in my head, "I want to go running." I used to go running a lot a few years back. I was really into sparkpeople, and my healthy lifestyle. At one point, I ran 6-8 miles a day. It's b... Sun, 14 Oct 2012 18:20:54 EST Keeping it up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5091791 So I have managed to eat within my calorie range every day since Thursday. That's 5 days- yippeee! I exercised only Thursday and Sunday. Today I went grocery shopping for an hour and a half. I counted that for only 45 min walking, because it's something right? No time to exercise today, since I had school, visited my Grandma, and worked a 9 hour shift (3.5 left to go). My one major concern lately is my lack of sleep. I'm on prednisone for my Crohn's disease, and it has been causing me to slee... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 19:40:33 EST Prednisone vs myself http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5087989 In April I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It has not gotten better since then, but has not been too bad. My doctor says I should physically being doing worse than I am, by what he sees when he looks at the CT scans they have done. I've had three CT scans done since May. The last one showed that my abcess of my colon has been resolved, but the inflammation in my ileum is a foot long section. I have now been taking Prednisone and Imuran for the past few days. The prednisone is to be taken ... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 14:08:42 EST Darn Scales!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3383146 I have two scales in my home, and only use one of them. The other day, we realized that the two come up with different weights. The one I have been using is off and says I weigh less than I do. We tested the accuracy of the two by weighing dumbells. It's kind of disappointing that I weigh 6lbs more than the scale was reading, but now I will be using an accurate one!!! Tue, 29 Jun 2010 16:01:33 EST An experience that motivated me to really try harder http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3317062 So a friend of mine is getting married and I went with her to look at bridesmaid dresses. She convinced me to try on this gorgeous wedding gown just for the fun of it. Well to my disappointment, the size that fit me was a size 14. I just dont get it. 40 lbs ago I wore a size 14 jeans, and now wear a size 10. It really shot my self esteem that day. How can I weigh 152 lbs and fit into a size 14 dress? I am now determined to lose the rest of this weight once and for all. When I get married some... Wed, 9 Jun 2010 11:02:19 EST Lack of time? No. Lack of motivation? No. Just too much going on! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3202951 I was so good at working out up until Saturday. I can't really say I havent had time, because though I have been super busy with nursing school, owning/managing a group home, and working two jobs, I always believe that I can always try to fit exercise in. I am a motivated person, but I guess just not for exercising this week. I have accomplished a lot at work, the group home, and most of all school. The semester ends a week from today. I've been working extra hard on studying for my two exams... Thu, 6 May 2010 21:00:38 EST Loss of loved ones & getting back into it http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2262618 On June 15th my uncle John passed away, and since then I have not been very good about my weight loss efforts. Those couple weeks after he passed, I was there with my family, and going to the gym was put on the back burner. I did exercise during those couple weeks, but not often. Then after that, all my summer plans got in the way of exercising, and I just didn't feel like going to the gym. I went camping for a week in the beginning of July, then was home for a few days and went to Wisconsin ... Mon, 27 Jul 2009 09:32:04 EST Too young to go :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2154767 My uncle John passed away yesterday. It is very shocking to our family, since it was very unexpected. He was only 47 years old, and he most likely had a heart attack, due to having a bad heart and combining that with drugs. He had been abusing drugs for at least the past 5 years. He left behind many brothers and sister, including my mom. He also left behind a wife and a 22 year old daughter and a 20 year old son, and a 29 year old son, and 2 grandchildren. He also has many nieces and nephews.... Tue, 16 Jun 2009 08:33:36 EST Almost done, woohoo! Not with losing weight though! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2007237 So I am looking forward to the end of the semester very much. I only have classes on Mondays and Thursdays, but those are 9 hour class days. I have 3 Mondays left, and that last one is only a couple hours, then I only have 2 Thursdays left! So excited for summer, just to get a break, and knowing that there will only be 3 semesters left after that until I am an RN. Yay! But that is not the end of my education. I plan on going to get my Bachelor's then get my masters and be a Nurse Practitioner... Sun, 26 Apr 2009 11:54:45 EST very filling breakfast! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1925287 I came up with this recipe last week, and it is very good and filling. I stayed full until nearly dinner time. I didn't mean to skip lunch, but I was so darn busy! You should try it out, here is the link!

recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detai
l.asp?recipe=576806
Mon, 30 Mar 2009 08:16:07 EST So annoyed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1837385 I am very annoyed right now. I haven't weighed myself on my wii fit for a couple weeks now, but every few days I step on our other scale.I use the wii fit to keep track of my progress. Today I stepped on the regular scale and it says I weigh 176. I was very happy, but then I went to look for the Wii remote, so I could weight myself on that, and I cannot find it. The house is fairly clean so it should not be hard to find at all. Well, 45 minutes later, after the furniture has been overturned s... Sat, 28 Feb 2009 12:47:03 EST Going Strong! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1779048 So I forgot to blog yesterday...oops. That does not mean i slacked in my efforts though. I did great yesterday and today. I stayed well within my calorie limits. Yesterday I did 90 min of cardio and today I did 65 min. I went over on my calories needed to burn for the week. I don't plan on weighing myself til monday, since I am my grandma's tonight and i hate her scale. I feel so great and I can tell that I'm getting into better shape. I look as if I may have lost a few pounds. I can't wait ... Sat, 7 Feb 2009 20:33:34 EST Too much today! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1773621 So today is my brother's sixteenth birthday, and we went to Red Lobster for a late lunch/ early dinner. I have to admit that I ate way too much! Good thing is though that I planned it in to my day's calories and probably only went over a little bit. I am not worried or mad though. I have been working out everyday and eating so much healthier. I will also be going to the gym within the hour. I now have a membership to an area fitness center, which has given me more motivation that trying to u... Thu, 5 Feb 2009 18:36:12 EST trying to blog every day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1767220 So I think that I should start blogging. It may help me. So most of the day I sat around, but I got a lot done. I did my taxes and I took a quiz and a test online for one of my online classes. I am trying to work out every day that I do not go to school, so today would be one of them. I enjoy working out in the morning, but one of my friends has a free pass for me to use for an area fitness center, so I am going there with her tonight. Haven't been to a gym for a while, usually work out at ho... Tue, 3 Feb 2009 18:17:53 EST 13 pounds gone! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1761621 Yay! I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 180!!! Yay!!! So that means 10 pounds gone since my 'restart' on sparkpeople. 13 pounds gone since the last time I was at the doctors in November! I'm leaving 180 ville woohooo!

I have my first nursing exam today, so wish me luck!!! Mon, 2 Feb 2009 08:13:05 EST A new challenge to help me! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1759671 So in Duluth, MN where I live, our local newspaper is having a fitness challenge. It is called the Lake Superior Community Challenge. This challenge starts today, Feb 1 and goes until sometime in April. Our objective is to make it all the way around Lake Superior. We are not really going to go around Lake Superior, but it is about 1000 miles around the whole entire lake. For every hour of exercise we each do, we get 10 miles towards out own journey. Every pound lost gives us 20 miles. So I'm ... Sun, 1 Feb 2009 15:04:10 EST
