I see it has been a bit since I dropped you all a line, so time to fill in a few tidbits to let you all know what has been going on. First, I must admit, I basically fell off the wagon after the contest in April. I planned on starting back into everything in late June/early July, but I wound up pinching a nerve in my shoulder and basically ended up only doing cardio for much of the summer. However, this allowed me to get in some nice biking and training in that mode. I've also... I have absolutely gone over the top this week! Every day has been close to probably 3000 calories, and I feel horrible to say the least. Last night took the cake...let's just say "fried" and leave it at that. Anywho, I'm up nine pounds as of this morning from where I was a week ago. I see now what they mean, and I knew and tried to be cautious, but that obviously didn't happen. So, now comes damage control. I'm going to look at my food tracker back in Ja... Sun, 5 May 2013 07:24:02 EST Wednesday, May 1st, 2013--New month, new plan, new goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5342092 So, April is officially in the books. Crazy month, and the end of the longest 16 weeks of my life. Why do I say that, well, because I decided in January to do a Figure Competition. Yep, I threw my hat into the competitive ring for the first time, and yep...I'm hooked. Granted the prep time is really trying, but I like having the accountability to push myself with my eating and training to reach a goal. That being said, my next comp is October 12th. Training begins now, but I won't reall... Yep, next Wednesday is the first day of spring, and let me tell you, I am SO DONE with winter!!! I've had it with snow, and I want warm, I want sun, I want little singing birdies outside my window in the morning and the happy little spring peeper frogs in the creek behind my house. And you know why I want spring...because that means that summer is just around the corner, and that means beach, and bikini, and ocean...oh, but that's another blog...I just NEED SPRING!!
<B... Wed, 13 Mar 2013 09:42:42 EST Wednesday, January 9th 2013---a NEW journey http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5198717 So, you're probably asking, what NEW journey?? Well, every year we start and everyone asks, "what are your resolutions this year? What are you going to improve on?" Well, I can admit that I asked myself that too...what are my goals this year? Now, I honestly don't believe in resolutions, strictly because they are, in my estimation, destined to be broken at some point or another along the year, practically by definition. So, I prefer to set goals. Typically my goals have been to lean out ... Wed, 9 Jan 2013 12:02:59 EST Thursday, Nov. 1--Updates http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5119986 Well, here we are at a new month. So far, last month was a bit better than the previous. We're still dealing with the thyroid issue, but for the most part the Synthroid is dialed in. The majority of the blood work is showing that my hormone levels are in the normal range, not hypothyroid anymore. However, I'm still dealing with energy issues so the doc decided to check my Free T-3 levels and now I am on another med to try to get that up where it is supposed to be. Hopefully this will hel... Thu, 1 Nov 2012 08:53:50 EST Tuesday, September 4, 2012---Observations http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5043774 Good September all!! Hope that everyone is having an awesome day and that your fall season is off to a great start. Here, we are a bit warm and muggy today, but that will all change this weekend, and I must admit that I am looking forward to cooler days. there are 118 days left in 2012...just about 4 months... and I'm going to go out with a bang (or at least as much as I can). So far, we're still working on dialing in the Synthroid, but at least I'm not ballooning up. However, I am getti... Tue, 4 Sep 2012 10:27:14 EST Friday, August 31st, 2012--Darn that was good...I gotta write that one down!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5039014 Well, this has been an interesting two weeks. Of course, we are back at school and as always, each new year starts of with challenges and changes. However, I have decided that this year WILL be different. I feel a change in the atmosphere and that change is a good one...a refreshing one...this is a NEW DAY!

That being said, our focus has changed this year (finally) and we are now trying to put the emphasis on the student, not on the test scores that he/she can produce (which I h... Fri, 31 Aug 2012 15:41:07 EST Sunday, June 3rd--So what gives?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4910774 Hi there. You may have noticed that some new photos were uploaded to my page. As the old saying goes...pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. Yeah, they're here, and yeah, they're current, but that in no means means that I have to like them...Personally, I would like to forget that they exist. Guess that means that I need to get my butt in gear and change them, huh? As some of you may have read/followed, this year has been interesting so far to say the least. I was diagnosed a... The Tournament went great...my daughter shot an all-time best, our High School finished second in the nation and one of my former students is the nation's top male archer. All's good. Great trip...enjoyed Louisville...but didn't stick to my eating plan. I had planned to try to stay on the lower end of the ranges and that didn't happen. I also planned to try to do a modified fast on Sunday, and that also didn't happen the way ... Thu, 17 May 2012 10:32:59 EST May 1st--24 days until THE BEACH!! Time to get busy!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4860955 So, I've essentially got 24 days until we head off to the beach. I am excited, and yet at the same time I know that I need to get things in check if I really am going to get that "beach body" that I want to be sporting. So, here is the general game plan. First, gonna keep the carbs relatively low, as well as the general caloric intake...somewhat of a cycle, with slightly higher carb days on lifting days. I'm going to finish up with week 7 of the current mesocycle, and then I think I am go... Tue, 1 May 2012 10:17:30 EST Tuesday, April 10th--Back at it...I guess... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4828247 Well, Spring Break is over and we're back at school. Thank goodness there are only 35 days left (not counting weekends). My goal is just to make it to Memorial Day weekend...and our trip to Morehead City.

Well, I had my Radioactive Iodine treatment on the 30th. Stupid pill. For the most part, I didn't think there were that many side effects until last Friday. Granted there were two days that I was a little extra tired, but other than that, I felt pretty good. Then on Friday... Tue, 10 Apr 2012 07:42:42 EST Tuesday, April 3, 2012--My exile continues http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4818270 Well I'm on day 4 since I took the radioiodine pill. I'm not really sure about effects other than feeling a bit tired and some intestinal issues, which could be from eating stuff I'm not used to. I have decided that baked goods are the devil...and I am seriously feeling fluffy...I will fix this, have no fear. But I will say that I am really enjoying the quiet. As well as not having to worry about anyone but me (refreshing!). I've even read two books...I don't normally have time to read. I hav... Tue, 3 Apr 2012 10:02:41 EST Tuesday, March 13th--T minus 17 days and counting... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4785877 So it's official...the thyroid is getting nuked on the 30th of March. Part of me was kind of hoping this wouldn't happen, but I think part of me secretly wishes it would get here sooner. The longer I go without the supplements, which means the longer I am hyperthyroid the worse this whole thing gets and I can see now why the doctor said that some people actually gain weight when they are hyperthyroid. It seems like I just CAN'T control the appetite or the carb cravings. I can calculate an... Tue, 13 Mar 2012 16:11:40 EST Tuesday, March 6th--New month, time to change it up. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4773863 The Arnold has come and gone for another year, and so goes another workout sequence. So, to keep the body guessing it's time to switch things up again...and perfect time for a 12 week program to get ready for the trip to Moorehead City. The last 5 weeks (or so) have been a focus on single body parts...e.g. Monday--Chest, Tuesday--Legs, Wednesday--Back, Thursday--Shoulders, Friday--Legs, Saturday--Arms. Of course, I also threw in some cardio in the midst of all of this ST, but my main goal ... Tue, 6 Mar 2012 13:40:32 EST February 2nd--New month, one month until mini-goal #1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4718661 Ok...mini-goal #1 is fast approaching, and this time I think I'll hit it (maybe even better than last year). So far, my goal is to reach 145 pounds by the 2nd of March. I'm currently at 147 (as of this morning), and hopefully I can keep the fat loss going in that direction. I've been trying an intermittent " fast" once per week...basically not a complete fast, but a significant cut in intake while keeping the protein high (and including BCAAs), and this seems to be working in cutting the f... Thu, 2 Feb 2012 13:20:29 EST Tuesday, January 17th--New update. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4686309 Thank you, everyone, for checking in and for your wonderful support! It's amazing how much easier this journey is when you know that you aren't doing it alone. I'm still plugging along with the January plan, and so far it seems to be working. I did measurements yesterday and I'm down between a half an inch and an inch in every area, except the biceps, which are up an eighth of an inch (yeah!). Granted, the scale number isn't moving quite as quickly as it was, but if the loss is inches, th... Tue, 17 Jan 2012 09:33:49 EST Sunday, Jan. 8th--Week one, a retrospective http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4666603 This week went well. We finished up the second grading period, so we are officially half way through. I also managed to get in some sort of physical activity every day, and I feel great! The weight is staying level, and I think I'm just about back to being at 150 if not 149, which is great and it's only taken a year and about 4 months to figure out and get it scale moving in the right direction. I can see some positive changes in the body, and the tummy is staying flatter, which is also g... Sun, 8 Jan 2012 16:45:48 EST Jan. 2, 2012--New Year...New Goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4651158 Ok people, let's get this party started!!! Yes, new year (Happy New Year everyone!) and time to get my goals down on "paper". This first set of goals will go through March 1st (this year's ARNOLD FITNESS EXPO). Thank you GUYVER77 for the awesome workout plan! Ok, so here are the general goals for this first Mesocycle:
1. Stick to the workout plan...Hybrid with S90/P90X/BBL and of course Spinning
2. Continue with carb/calorie cycle. I am planning on staying with a 20-25% carb, 4... Mon, 2 Jan 2012 12:28:47 EST Monday, December 5th--Finishing up the year with a bang! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4613521 Well, here we are at the last month of the year. So last month I was able to get most of my goals. The weight still seems to be slowly changing, but I think I figured out my problem. Basically, I think I function better on lower carb, higher fat intake. Too much carb and I bloat up, and it takes two to three days (usually) to get the water off. If I can keep the water off, I'm down to about 151, which is about the lowest, consistently, that I've been for the last year. I'm going to cont... Mon, 5 Dec 2011 15:17:19 EST Tuesday, November 1st--New month, new goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4563328 Ok, today is the first day of the new month, and almost the end of the year. I figure there is no time like the present to set the goals for the month. So, here goes:

1) Continue to help Hannah with the whole new food experience. I WILL locate some good, GF, sugar free, dairy free recipes for the holidays that the whole family will enjoy.
2) Attempt to stay as gluten free and sugar free/dairy free myself as possible. I told Hannah that I would do this with her, as much ... Tue, 1 Nov 2011 13:41:46 EST Thursday, October 27th--Wow, life just became a lot more challenging!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4555552 Ok...you thought I was going to blog about getting older, didn't you. Well, no, I'm not going to do that. Yes, today is my birthday, but like I say, I've earned every one of these 42 years, so why deny it. This is actually the easy part of life.

The more challenging part has to do with my youngest daughter. We have been dealing with headaches with her for the last 4-5 years, and we have tried everything. We've had blood tests run, we've had her eye doctor do tests and other st... Thu, 27 Oct 2011 09:31:16 EST Monday, October 24th--A nice weekend and a lesson (re)learned http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4551009 Had a beautiful weekend. Saturday was the Brad Harper Memorial 5K. 232 Brad was a Marine in Lima Company who was KIA in Iraq in 2005. He also happened to be the son of my Middle School History Teacher. I try to do the race every year, because I figure that Brad gave his all for us...although my contribution pales in comparison. Anyway, though, because of my foot (plantar fasciitis and tarsal tunnel), I really haven't run in about two years...just a mile here or there. I wa... Mon, 24 Oct 2011 14:55:46 EST Thursday, September 29th...So what's been going on, and what's coming up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4510206 Well, September is almost over. I'm not necessarily certain I've made a lot of progress this month, or at least as much progress as I had hoped I would make. The one thing I did complete was three weeks of the "Insane 900" workout. I also managed to find out just how hard I can push myself in the gym and still manage to leave in an upright position. I have been watching my calories pretty closely and at the beginning of the month, with the 'new' carb and calorie cycling, I saw a 5 pound l... Thu, 29 Sep 2011 11:30:53 EST Wednesday, September 14th--"Food" for thought... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4484177 I've been thinking a lot over the past 24 hours. And I can credit this thinking to Dr. Oz. You see, last night on his show he had a Dr. William Li on, and Dr. Li discussed foods that can help cut your risk of developing Ovarian Cancer by as much as 75%. He mentioned three specific foods, endive(eat it raw for the most benefit), sea bass and red onions (red onions had the most benefit). He mentioned that Mother Nature had put things in the foods we eat that can help our bodies naturally de... Wed, 14 Sep 2011 08:43:46 EST Monday, August 29th--One week down http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4454847 Well, so far, ok I guess. The one thing I must say is that I hate parties. Doesn't matter what kind of parties, they just make it really hard to stick with a plan. Saturday we had a birthday party for my youngest...and I had a plan. I planned to stay higher on my protein and I even entered everything (at that point) to make sure I was ok on my macros and calories. I worked out that morning, so I knew I had my energy expenditure dealt with, so I thought...will power be with me...that I'd ... Mon, 29 Aug 2011 14:58:25 EST Wednesday, August 24th--The PLAN and a little more... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4446185 Ok, so I told you I would figure out the details of the plan and then I'd post it. Well, here goes. The unfortunate thing is I left the paper with all of the numbers at home on the table, but this is the general idea. I am planning on doing a bit of a calorie/carb cycle combined with a solid workout routine. Please feel free to let me know how you think this sounds, and if it makes sense (you know, do you think it will work).

My workouts will be on the following schedule: <BR... Wed, 24 Aug 2011 15:42:35 EST Monday, August 22nd--Back to a routine!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4442229 Yep...it's that time again. School has started. Usually I see this as a bad thing. The summer is over, my freedom has gone again and now my time is back in the control of someone els. But this year is different. I am seeing this as an opportunity, and a positive one at that. This year, I am seeing this as a chance to get back into a positive routine and make some positive change. As I mentioned in my last blog, I got a Bod Pod measurement a week ago and it has put me on the path to rea... Mon, 22 Aug 2011 16:03:38 EST Saturday, August 13th--New numbers mean a new direction!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4424906 As I said on my feed yesterday, I got a Bod Pod reading done yesterday. We went to COSI (Center of Science and Industry) yesterday and participated in two studies for the Ohio State University, and while we were there I decided that I would get my body fat measured by the Bod Pod, which is as accurate, if not a little more accurate than an immersion test (and no fear of drowning). Anyway, here are the not so pleasant results:
Weight: 156 lbs
Height: 67 in
Body Fat%: 27.5 <BR... Sat, 13 Aug 2011 16:37:10 EST Wednesday, June 22nd--REfocus http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4315518 Well, I just reset all of my trackers. I've been so busy that I haven't been on since the 1st...and that includes tracking my eating or my workouts. Of course, I've been keeping track of my workouts in my notebook, just not on here. I haven't really seen too much change, even with not tracking my intake...but I guess it's time to get back to paying attention and buckle down. I seem to be doing ok maintaining this way, but I don't really want to stay here...I still have some changing I wan... Wed, 22 Jun 2011 12:22:31 EST Tuesday, May 31st--Now back to business! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4267471 Hello all!! Well, I'm back from a wonderful weekend at the beach! I'll say this much...you folks who live in North Carolina are a seriously lucky bunch! I must say that being back home today is somewhat sad...I really hated leaving the beach. We went to Morehead City, and also Beaufort...and I spent Saturday and Sunday between Atlantic City Beach, Radio Island Beach, Cape Lookout, and perhaps my favorite...Shackleford Banks. We also ate at two of the local establishments...Floyd's (ABSOL... Well, first off, let me say I'm glad to be home. Although we got home late Saturday night/Sunday morning, I really wasn't in a very good mood yesterday thanks to day 3 of a headache...so I guess you might as well say I wasn't home yet. I'm guessing it was a combination of stress, exhaustion, and eating pretty poorly. It's amazing how cruddy you feel when you have been eating fairly clean and then you have two days of eating whatever was available. Needless to say, I'm glad I'... Mon, 16 May 2011 08:13:42 EST Tuesday, May 10th--Why can't things be easier?!?! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4222451 Ok, I'm trying to not be discouraged about this...trying to keep a decent mood about it and all, but I wish I could figure out what in the world is going on. Last weekend I did the detox thing, and although I feel better, I gained, yes gained, 4 pounds. Not quite sure what is going on. For quite a while, I've been trying to get this mystery poundage that appeared last August to come off and have only been able to get about 5 pounds of it to go away. Now, however, I'm back up and higher th... Tue, 10 May 2011 08:30:38 EST May 2nd--25 days to bikini!! All clean and ready to go http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4204347 Well, I did the Liver/Gallbladder cleanse over the weekend. Wow. I've done cleanses before, but none of them were like this. I will definitely say that I don't think there was ANYTHING left in my body when it was over. The one positive thing about the whole experience was that it really caused me to think about what I was putting into my body. Once I started the actual cleanse, I wanted to be really careful...why do this if I'm just going to put bad stuff back in there. For example, I ... Mon, 2 May 2011 10:25:00 EST Sunday, April 24th...End of Mesocycle 1...Photos http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4187724 Well, I said I would post some picts to compare where I was before and where I am now at the end of my first Mesocycle. I took these Friday morning, the day between the end of Meso 1 and the beginning of Meso 2. I can really see a difference when I look in the mirror, but I haven't tried looking at the before and now picts together, so I'm interested to see what (if anything) shows up. Here's hoping I can get this to work!

<img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeople.com/nw/1/2/l1212... I was getting ready for my workout at the gym last night and was playing around in front of the mirror in the dressing room...you know, flexing and the whole nine yards (I was the only one in there). Yes, usually it's the guys doing that, but I have to admit it's fun to see new muscles. Anyway, I was flexing and I suddenly realized that I had "wings"...and not the bad kind that wave back at you. I'm talking Lat development. So I changed how I was flexing a little and ... Tue, 19 Apr 2011 09:08:25 EST Thursday, April 7th--Week two is accomplished! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4148952 Well, I finished week two's weight training workout last night. I wound up having to do the workout at home, since I had Conferences at school and then soccer practice afterward so I didn't get to the gym. I don't have heavy weights at home so I ended up using the strongest resistance band I had and then shortened it a lot to increase the resistance. It was hard, and I'm feeling it this morning. I didn't do the ab work, so hopefully I can do that today before my training session. Tonight... I decided to go with a two month time period, as this will take me to Memorial Day weekend, the end of school, and a nice beach vacation for my hubby and me. So, here we go...

Goal 1: Four days of ST per week.
Goal 2: At least three days of Cardio per week (spinning or Turbo Fire)
Goal 3: Keep on top of low carb eating, and keep protein high.
Goal 4: Take time for ME!

I started a new ST r... I started to reply to her, because I agree that this isn't a competition against anyone but yourself.

Personally, I think that people who are down on others, simply because the others are achieving and they aren't, have a serious problem with their own self esteem and self worth. Back in November I set The Arnold as my goal to be ripped, and to have been down to around 19% BF. Well, that was also about the same time that I hurt my elbow. That sort of killed my desire to lift because I really couldn't do much, and with only the spinning, I didn't get to where I wanted to be. But, that's all changing, as of Sunday the 13th. Yep, I have re-committed (yes, again, so be quiet). I am carefully watching my... Tue, 15 Feb 2011 13:11:19 EST Thursday, Feb. 3rd--Goal #1 Accomplished... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3987221 My first goal for this year was to finish my ISSA CFT program and test. Well, I finished the test Monday, the 31st. I submitted it at about 1:30pm and prepared to wait the alloted 72 hours to hear my fate. Well, when I logged on to my e-mail that evening around 7 I had my answer...I passed! 92.3%. I was sort of surprised, I guess. I thought I would pass, but considering the two case studies that I had to write, I was a little worried. I had to laugh that some of the points I missed were... Thu, 3 Feb 2011 13:16:58 EST Monday, Jan 10th--Physician Heal Thyself... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3909258 I love it when I am proven right. I got my results from my Chiropractor for the food allergies and other tests last week. The food allergies really didn't give me much information that I think is going to be helpful (with the exception that I am mildly reactive to Whey, so like what am I going to do for my protein). I'm definitely trying to avoid the foods it suggested, but I really don't know if that will make a difference. HOWEVER, the results from the other tests and questionaires were... Unfortunately, I am not starting where I wanted to be, but that is ok. I got a bit off track over the week between Christmas and New Years, and I can, unfortunately, honestly say that I reverted back to my old ways of eating. Part of that was due to the fact that we were working 12-15 hour days remodeling my mother-in-law's house, and I ate what was offered. Although I did try a couple of days to pack things to eat, it just didn't pan out. I thought that I worke... Tue, 4 Jan 2011 10:49:18 EST Friday, Dec. 17th--Small Successes, and hopefully more to come! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3849210 On Wednesday before spinning class I decided to try the treadmill. Only 1/4 mile, but it was nice. Of course, with the intensity of the spinning class, I couldn't tell what discomfort was from the spinning and what might have been from the treadmill. Thursday morning was just uncomfortable all around. However, the foot was not part of the discomfort.

For those of you who didn't know, or who have forgotten, I've been dealing with Plantar Fasciitis and Tarsal Tunnel for over a ye... I guess this is my starting point. I'm sure that by the time my goal is met (Arnold weekend) I won't see the awesome changes that Rachel has, but I'm definitely going to give it the old college try!!

FRONT

Obviously not flexed.

FRONT FLEXED

RIGHT SIDE
<img src="http:/... Sat, 11 Dec 2010 12:04:22 EST Friday, December 3rd--I learned a very important lesson last night... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3821489 Yes, I learned a very important lesson last night, and I felt compelled to share my new found wisdom with you all. When you are at the gym and one of your friends looks at you and says, "Hey, I bet you can't do this...", just look at them, nod and say, "yep, you're right, I can't." Don't listen to that little voice in the back of your head that says..."Oh, come on, you aren't going to let them do better than you now are you? Challenges are made to be taken..." Really...just ignore it. Do... Fri, 3 Dec 2010 10:54:03 EST Monday, November 22nd--Gee, I wonder if I'm getting too wrapped up in this whole thing?? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3799265 I woke up this morning realizing that I had had a dream about the whole weight loss/fat loss thing. I don't remember who I was talking to in the dream, but I was explaining how I can eat lower cal/lower carb for a whole week, and exercise like crazy and see the weight drop, but then one or two days of eating a little more and it all comes back on...and I was lamenting the fact that I couldn't even take one "off day" without going right back to where I was (and this was like losing and re-ga... Mon, 22 Nov 2010 10:22:50 EST Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010--New month, 9 weeks to go http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3757177 Ok, only 9 more weeks until the new year. Plenty of time to get some things accomplished. First, I just want to either drop a little weight or at least drop some body fat. I have no problem being this weight as long as it's mostly muscle and less fat. Granted I'd like to know where it came from, but that aside, I'm going to work really hard over the next 9 weeks to get back to where I want to be. I will continue to lift and lift heavy (which every time I lift heavy like this I gain, but ... Tue, 2 Nov 2010 14:36:56 EST Tuesday, October 12th--Here we go again... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3709818 Gee whiz, there are times that I feel like a completely broken record. Anyway, here we go again. Yep, since June I've gained about 10 pounds for no apparent reason. Until very recently, I hadn't changed my eating or my workouts, except for cutting back a bit on the cardio. But even though I cut back a little on the cardio, I ramped up the strength training. At first I thought the weight was muscle, but after a body fat measurement last week (which isn't completely accurate), I know it is... Tue, 12 Oct 2010 09:26:36 EST
