Goal is to work out at the gym after work every day Mon-Fri. No excuses! Eating healthy every day. Allowing myself one small sweet treat per day to keep the sweet tooth at bay. No overindulging! No restricting calories as I am still nursing my baby boy who just turned eight months. Just choosing healthy foods to fuel my body with. I started January 1st with eating healthy and this week with daily exercise (Mon-Fri). I am down 4.1 pounds as of today. Thinking about join... Fri, 13 Jan 2017 12:39:37 EST Jelly Legs :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5870546 I went to the body pump class at my gym for the first time today. The instructor was great and I am thankful for nice "classmates" who helped me set up as I was a bit lost. The class was tough, but I made it. There was only one exercise in the end that I can't do yet, but I'll get there. I'm walking funny because my legs feel like jelly. LOL. I'll be back for the Monday class. :) Fri, 6 Feb 2015 08:50:39 EST To Track or Not To Track http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5729135 In the past, I have been consistently tracking my food for weeks and even months at a time only to struggle keeping up with it at some point. That usually led to a complete halt of food tracking. Whenever I did not track, I eventually started gaining back weight. So my logic told me, "you have to track to lose." I tried to keep up with it by carrying a little notebook with me and write down all the foods I ate so that I could track them when I would find the time to. Eventually, I realized th... Mon, 30 Jun 2014 14:22:22 EST Answers and a plan to get my health back http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5626005 I have not been very active here on SparkPeople lately. Sorry about that. I missed you all and I am back! For the last several months I have been feeling miserable and for the longest I was trying to figure out what was going on.

I was extremely exhausted every day, no matter how much or little sleep I had at night. I even nodded off at work a couple of times. I had several migraines a week. My GI system was acting crazy. I had weird painful patches on my scalp that would appear an... Mon, 17 Feb 2014 00:04:44 EST Victory Jeans! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5503082 So I have been wearing sizes 20 and 22 for the the last 3+ years (I cannot remember how many exactly). About 3 months ago I found a size 20 jeans at my local thrift store that fit perfectly, so of course I grabbed them. I could not tell what brand they were but they just felt and looked great so I did not care. Anyway, after owning those jeans for a all this time I eventually discovered a secondary tag that shows the jeans were from Old Navy. A Spark Friend of mine gave me the idea to buy th... Thu, 3 Oct 2013 00:36:42 EST Seriously Sick http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5436854 Hi everyone!

I just wanted to give an update. I have been absent from SP for a little over a week and it feels like an eternity. The reason of my absence is that I have been very sick due to a serious mold issue in our HVAC system. In June we moved to a new rental home and both my son's and my indoor allergy symptoms went significantly worse since then. So I decided to have the air ducts of the house cleaned. When the technicians came out for the air duct cleaning, they discovered ... Mon, 29 Jul 2013 01:27:39 EST Thank you, San Antonio Spark Team! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5407547 I just wanted to thank everyone who came to the dinner meetup. It was great meeting new and old friends. I love that our team is not just virtual, but that we actually have a chance to meet each other. I personally feel encouraged and more motivated because of that. Thank you all so much for your support and for sharing your experience. 304 220 381

Today is the 1st of July, which means we just entered the second half of the year. Let's ma... Mon, 1 Jul 2013 14:29:41 EST I love math ...and my job! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5403602 I would have never said that 10 years ago while in high school. 334

Actually, I have developed more and more love for math over time ever since I finished school. And now I love it even more, since weight loss is so much about math.

I recently created an excel chart into which I enter my daily calories eaten, calories burned through exercise, and BMR which I get from the calorie differential reports here at Spark People. Lately I have been eating reasonably ... Thu, 27 Jun 2013 13:45:34 EST Reflections and Realizations http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5400867 When I do lose weight, I lose super slowly ...and I better get used to it. It has discouraged me many times again and again. Why work so hard if nothing changes? Wrong. Something always changes. If it is not the weight, it is my strength, my endurance, the way my clothes fit, or just me knowing how hard I am working and taking pride in it. Yup, it took me a while to start appreciating my NSVs, no matter how small they are.

I have been off track for a while now. Since mid February t... Tue, 25 Jun 2013 01:02:57 EST February 2013 ...and a New Goal http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5276107 A New Goal:
Since my husband and I will celebrate our 5th Anniversary this May, we wanted to do something special. We found a great deal for a ziplining adventure near Austin/Lake Travis a few weeks ago and decided that this would be our anniversary celebration. We plan to make this a weekend trip including the zipline tour on one day and other activities (still to be determined) on the other day. What does this have to do with goals? There is a weight limit for participating. I have to ... Wed, 6 Mar 2013 14:58:21 EST January 2013 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5263568 I know this is a bit late, but I did make a promise to a very special fellow sparker who is very dear to me. Here it is, my first blog, finally.

January Victories:
1. I tracked my food for every day this month which is a huge success for me.
2. I worked out, not as much as I should, but more than I have in a long while. I even managed to get up and walk 2.5 miles at 5:00 in the morning one time, with my son! So proud of him that he joined me. We both do not quite fit the ... Mon, 25 Feb 2013 15:11:19 EST
