I wondered what happened to some of the comments I had read.

Anyway, today is a new day. This morning Himself called to tell me he thought he would be released today. That news was a big relief for me. I had already been talking to daughter about what time I would have to leave her house to be at the hospital by 10 and how the traffic would be heavy again with people going to work. Saturday and Sunday are so much q... Diet has been fair under the circumstances. When I do eat, I have something nutritious. It is just that I am eating at irregular times. My exercise has been climbing stairs. I have been avoiding the elevators. I have made it to the 6th floor both in the hospital and in the parking garage. I don't really want to find out if I could do 7 or above. By 6, I am feeling like I am glad I am in a hospital if anything sho... Himself was scheduled for surgery in London about 50 minutes from where we are staying this week to dog-sit for our daughter.

From his snoring, it sounded like he slept well Monday night. I did not. Monday night our second son arrived to be with us. It is about a 2 hour drive. I was extremely grateful to have him with me. He drove us to the hospital, spent the day with us, drove me back to daughter's and then drove home. I know he... Wed, 7 Sep 2016 08:08:06 EST We Have a Date http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6229189 We have known for several months that Hubby would be getting a new heart valve. The problem was that we did not know when the surgery would be. I never dreamt that we would get a call today, a Friday before a long weekend but that is exactly what happened.

On Wednesday I drove to my daughter's to dog-sit their two black labs while they go on vacation. They are going to a friend's wedding on Saturday and then they will probably do some golfing and enjoy their time off. Daughter ... The US president was Lyndon B. Johnson (Democratic). In that special week of August people in US were listening to Summer In The City by The Lovin' Spoonful. In UK With A Girl Like You by Troggs was in the top 5 hits. Alfie, directed by Lewis Gilbert, was one of the most viewed movies released in 1966 while Valley Of The Dolls by Jacqueline Susann was one of the best selling books.

Are you old enough to remember a... Tue, 9 Aug 2016 22:07:02 EST August 1-7 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6213960 Last Monday was a civic holiday which meant it was a long weekend for many in Canada. Of course, as my husband says, when you are retired, every weekend is a long weekend.

Tuesday was my regular morning at Hospice. It was a quiet morning which is not a bad thing.

In the evening, I joined the walking group on the Greenway. Some of the walkers were in the Tuesday morning group I belonged to before I started to volunteer. We walked for an hour. It was nice to have com... Sun, 7 Aug 2016 21:54:53 EST
