I have also lost 4 lbs (over the past week), 1.5 inches on my waist and 0.5 inch on my thighs (I confess I haven't measured in a couple of months, but I notice that I was feeling a bit smaller so decided to measure!). Preparing foods in advance such as roast chicken or some hard boiled eggs helps out for those times when I need a quick snack or am looking to pack a 'to-go' lunch. <BR> <BR> I am still challenged to stop reading the paper or watching a program while having a meal. I have to make a real conscious effort to pay attention to eating and only eating... Unlike yesterday when I was sleepy most of the day, today I feel alert and great! (I couldn't help weighing in before wednesday and was another .5 lb lighter!) Workout was also great this morning. I needed some eggs, so I went to the grocery store. Why do they put the eggs waaaay in the back past all the breads, cookies and (gulp) cereal! I stood in the cereal isle...(my carbenemy)...it must have been at least three or four minutes. Paced up and down the isle a few times...but I escaped with only my eggs. I was still thinking about the boxed goodies I left in that isle as I drove out of the parking lot. This was a big step and now I know I can keep it up! <BR> Day 1, so far s... Started last week and made to day 4, but a celebration/party threw me off track. I was starting to have more energy and strangely my teeth were whiter!! I had even engaged in several activities I hadn't done in a while! <BR> <BR> My birthday is in 2 months...and I will make it the best ever, and will look and feel great!
