Thu, 31 Oct 2013 17:40:37 EST My weight photo journey - 9 year span http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5527981 I started working on something this morning which is work in progress - it was going to be a small collage of photos to track my weight journey but it became much more than that. Photos depicted from the age of 33 to 42 which is now.

Apart from having a small amount of weight data as well as photographs that didn't always have the correct date on them, I managed to piece this together so far. There are a few years worth of photos missing (2011, 2012) as they are saved on a diffe... Thu, 31 Oct 2013 04:00:34 EST Don't let the mud stick! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5527053 I have decided to cease the GM program today (day 4 out of 7) and start it again at a later date. I have already lost 1kg in the process so I’ll take that thanks! That brings my weightloss to 6.5kgs since mid September. YAY TEAM!

I was out for a luncheon today. The seafood restaurant chosen by my friend is well renowned for exceptional food and the seating is on a deck over seawater (just beautiful). This friend is from that wonderful gentleman style ‘old school’ and he absolu... Wed, 30 Oct 2013 04:47:02 EST I did it! I made it! I'm in the 84's! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5525800 I did it !! I'm now in the 84's !! Kgs that is !! I broke that scale from reading 85 something kgs over the past 3 weeks and this is the first time I have seen the number 84 in a long time! I am 84.9kgs..... Wow..... I'm so excited and inspired by this.

It is the morning of day 3 of the GM diet program and I have broken through that psychological barrier I believe I was holding onto about that number 85 on the scale. Now I can enjoy the remaining 4 days of the GM diet af... Mon, 28 Oct 2013 17:39:44 EST Re-inventing myself http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5524785 I love that the people in this world who most inspire me are people who continuously re-invent themselves - could be something as simple as a new hairstyle, a new outfit, a new hobby or a new job, but they continually re-assess their lives and continually make changes accordingly. They decide what they want, they find it, they pursue it and then they get it and they are CONSISTENT in this approach to life. I love that. They make it look so easy, but with practice comes skill and with exper... Sun, 27 Oct 2013 17:21:16 EST Activating my RESET button! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5524076 I have decided to embark on the 7 day GM diet program again - I want that detox feeling and to RESET my cravings in the right direction, as well as hopefully a few more pounds may come off. I've been playing around in the 85kg range for almost 3 weeks now and weighing in this morning I'm still 0.2kgs above my lowest weight within that time. So this might help move things along a little and get me out of the 85kg zone once and for all. I don't want to be bogged in this sandpit forever! ... Sat, 26 Oct 2013 18:18:20 EST Prosperous day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5523641 Well that worked well ! Had a wonderful and prosperous day today at out garage sale and met many of my neighbours - all 60 or so of them - the mailbox flyers worked well! HAHA! Even got invited to drinks next Sat. night - being neighbours I can walk there and back - still considering my options at this point however (tee hee)....

One impressionable young man lives only a few doors down and was the most interesting character - he walked up to our garage sale shirtless and sta... Sat, 26 Oct 2013 04:44:24 EST Protecting my patch! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5522518 This morning I was up early and eager to mailbox drop the neighbourhood with a flyer about our garage sale tomorrow - 60 flyers went out in total, plus we have an add in two local newspapers. We have some more organising to do this afternoon and then it should be ready to go. There is SO MUCH STUFF! We have filled my double garage - that's 6m x 6m of tables covered in items for sale and there is stuff on the ground and stuff hanging from the the garage walls and there'll be stuff out the... Thu, 24 Oct 2013 18:48:10 EST The BIKINI is out of the drawer! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5521627 I've been peeking at my weight in between weigh-ins for a little while now and what it does is it goes up and down each day within about a 2 pound range - it does this for a few weeks and then settles on the lower number, then starts again going down and up a few pounds until it again settles on the lower number. So with this trend in mind I am expecting to be down in the 84 something kgs over the next week or so if I continue to behave myself. I haven't been in the 84kg range for a while ... Wed, 23 Oct 2013 19:34:21 EST I fell off the horse and got straight back on! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5520591 Today is the beginning of week 6 - they say it takes 6 weeks to form a habit! I weighed in today and I'm the lowest weight so far at 85.3 kgs. That is only 0.1kg off a total of 6kgs weightloss! Wow, it really does work.

Here is my winning formula which I'm learning through SP website: calories in / calories out / tracking / weighing / lots of water / aerobic and strength training exercise / stress reduction / lots of sleep / support from SP friends / determination / courage ...
