I'd like to blame it on my hormones, but I know I'm just using them as an excuse. I'm not really sure why I let things get so out of control. I guess it's all just a learning experience. I did, however, continue to log my food into sparkpeople (just a sign that I AM changing). I was able to go back and identify some key mistakes I've been making.

1) I noticed that I'm snacking more then I should. Abo... Sun, 22 Jan 2012 16:22:26 EST Overeating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4662987 I've been doing really good about staying in my calorie range, but I seriously overate today. I know that I had been feeling really depressed and stressed out today so I made a conscious decision that I was going to over snack. I ended up eating potato chips with a sour cream dip, and then to top that off I decided to make a plate of nachos.

Even though I'm not really happy that I broke my streak. I am happy that I'm sitting here confronting my emotions that led to the overeating ... I'm not sure what happened, but my headphones were not working right so we didn't really do the program. We did the 5 minute warm up and then decided to just run until I needed to stop. I probably ran between a a 1/4- 1/2 mile each stretch. I ran two stretches and then ran up the stairs to the top of Mount Trashmore. Wow! Those steps will kick your ass! But in a good way. Tomorrow starts the beginning of week five. It's really empoweri... Fri, 6 Jan 2012 14:38:28 EST C25K Week Three Completed! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4643529 I just got back from a wonderful Christmas vacation with my husband. I got to go home and see my family and friends. It was great! Unfortunately all the visiting and family gatherings didn't do much for my diet. I definitely overindulged; especially with sweets. However I don't really think if it as failing. There were some areas where I feel like I did better then I would have otherwise. For instance I had a couple of peppermint mochas and I ordered them with skim milk and no whipped cream ... Thu, 29 Dec 2011 15:07:21 EST C25K Week Two Completed! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4619225 Today marks the completion of my second week of the C25K program. According to the program I exercised 31minutes total, 9minutes running, 1.5minute max run, and got the Hidden Athlete badge :-). Actually, one of those runs was a total of 3 minutes. I decided to see how long I could run without stopping and my friend and I estimated that we ran a 1/4 mile without stopping!

Monday evening my husband and I head home for Christmas. It's a 15 hour drive and then we will be home for 10 d... Fri, 9 Dec 2011 14:22:34 EST C25K Week One Completed! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4612406 Today marks the beginning of week 2 for the couch to 5k program. I ran the first day alone, but my friend Kelly wants to run the 5k in February with me so we ran Wednesday, Friday, and today. It's so much easier to stay motivated when you have a friend depending on you to show up.

I was disappointed today when I stepped on the scale and realized I haven't lost any weight yet. I know that I my eating habits definitely need to change as well. I need to take small steps though.
... Sun, 4 Dec 2011 21:21:56 EST Consistency http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4602753 Consistency: steadfast adherence to the same principles, course, form, etc.

I think this word sums up my biggest weakness. I am not consistent with anything. Whether it be diet, fitness, housework etc. In one of my required classes I'm taking we did a personality test and one of this things my personality style said about me is that I set high and unrealistic goals for myself. Wow! I don't think that I could have described it better myself.

I'm trying to really re-evalu... Mon, 28 Nov 2011 13:18:51 EST
