Really I've been away so long I hadn't realized just how old some of my stuff on here is. Then it hit me, I may have not met my goal but I have maintained my weight loss for 1 year and 5 months. That's pretty amazing when I think about it. I may have not met my goal yet but somehow I have managed to keep it off thru some very terrible times in my life. It is made with corn and quinoa and is Gluten Free. I was pleasantly surprised that I really couldn't tell any difference from regular pasta. I'm not a big pasta eater anyway unless it's Mac N Cheese. Of course now days that's a treat and not something I eat very often. Anyhow this is supposedly USDA Organic and is low fat, very low sodium, no cholesterol. I purchased this off Amazon.com which is where I read all the wonderful reviews on it... It's almost impossible to get a doctors appointment at any of the clinics around here without a 1- 2 week wait. By then if your still alive your over it, LOL. Which I waited 3 weeks to even try because I kept thinking it went away but then it would come back. I also took an over the counter UTI test which came back negative. I'd say it's been going 4-5 days by now, not exactly sure when it started. I took a pic standing outside the salon yesterday. Yikes, it's starting to come over the hill. I heard they were close to evacuating Bodfish last night and the smoke there is really bad. We are both self employed so it's something that we've needed to do for a long time. We've never really had medical insurance except briefly through one of his old employers. I tried to apply a couple years ago and which Jeff was denied (Blue Cross). I guess for having previous injuries because neither of us have in illnesses that we know of. I decided not to go with them after the whole ordeal and just put insurance on the back... Tue, 14 Sep 2010 09:41:52 EST Turbo Fire Hybrid WEEK 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3627663 I'm going into Turbo Fire & Chalean Extreme Week 5. I've completed 8 weeks between Turbo Fire and the Extreme version. I had decided to switch to hybrid because I felt I was lacking in strength training. The first 3 weeks of hybrid was mostly Burn circuit with not really any Turbo Fire. The 4th week finally switched over to Turbo fire. I've not followed the plan to a "T" though since I'm going into my 3rd Week of C25K and before that I was including days of Zumba. Overal, I think the ST has ... I didn't think it would be so hard but the first 2 runs, especially the 2nd run was a struggle for me breathing wise. I felt like I was huffing and puffing. Today was my 3rd run and for some reason it was much better, a good run actually. I even kicked it up a notch on the last interval and I felt great today. So I am pushing on to next week. I'm not so happy with my new shoes, I had to put back on the old ones today. The new ones just seem so much heavier and while great walking my soles literally start to ache when I run. I guess it will take some time to get adjusted. Aside from that I'm making it through the 60 second intervals, LOL. Sunday I spent the day adding the candle descriptions, pictures and shopping carts to my website. Though I got most of it done I still won't be ready to sell for another month or two. The goal was by Sept/October. I still have to pour the candles and have many more fragrances to test. I might test 20 fragrances and only ... When I first cut it I thought it kind of smelled like grass so that kind of was a bit of a turn off for me. Surprisingly it had a mild potatoish flavor, crisp and juicy a tiny touch of sweetness. So then I squeezed the lime on it and added chili spices (all I had). I could not find the chili powder a spark buddy recommend for it. I think that might have made the difference I felt it was missing. I just didn't seem to care for it with the spices I used. I eve... Of course the shoe I had picked out (on sale) didn't come in a small enough size. ~Hmpf~ I guess that is OK though because after moving me to the child's section I found a really cute pair of Nike Shocks. I'm going to weigh all my snacks, veggies, fruit, meat, nuts and then bag in snack sized portions so that I can grab and go. Any more idea's what I should put in my grab bags?

Wed, 21 Jul 2010 10:06:56 EST Kittens...... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3453191 So it looks like I am getting stuck with the last 2 kittens and their mama. I basically took in the neighbors cat when she kept coming to my house to eat....PREGNANT. Which lead to taking her babies about 4 weeks old out of fear they too were going hungry. We managed to find 2 of the 4 kittens a good home.

I so don't need anymore cats and if I were to keep 2 it would have been the other 2. They were so beautiful. Hubby said something though that really touched my heart. He said t... Wed, 21 Jul 2010 01:17:11 EST Positive attitude... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3449229 I've been trying really hard today to keep a positive attitude. It's so easy to get set off by emotions, sadness, fear, even anger. Each time I get upset for whatever reason I try to take a mental note of my feelings. WOW, how many times did I let something upset me? This is when I remind myself to have a positive attitude. ~SMILE~ Dispose of the negative thoughts and try to think about what is good, let go of the negative. A lot of negatives can't be changed but the feelings towards them can... Mon, 19 Jul 2010 23:27:52 EST Candle Fever....Again :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3443635 Starting my candle fever early this year. I want to get my new line up by Sept/Oct as we start into fall/holidays.

A little history for those who don't know. I've been a candle maker since 1999. At that time, I was stuck at home all the time and I was constantly surfing the net for a work at home type of business. I wanted to help bring in an income but of course I spent more then I ever made, lol. Well, after one too many scams I came across candle making. I was instantly struck... Sun, 18 Jul 2010 12:07:43 EST Hormone Alert http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3440670 I have been struggling the last few days due to hormones. I always get PMS or PMDD the week before I start. When I was younger sometimes 2 weeks before. Hubby use to joke and say I only have one good week out of the month. Really, it's not funny. Some months are worse then others though the cravings for food always seem to be there around this time. I totally envy those people who never seem to get it but for me it is totally real.

I have decided because of my poor eating choices ... Sat, 17 Jul 2010 09:37:31 EST Humidity http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3437599 Ugh 198

What's going on in your neck of the woods, is it humid?

I'm in California (High Desert). I've been here since 1977-78. We were always a very dry climate until recently. I'd say the last 5 years the weather has really started to change. We rarely get our 4 season anymore. How many can say they live in California and get 4 season? Well we use to be like that here, that is what I always loved about living here.

Summer was always a very dry h... Thu, 15 Jul 2010 08:33:43 EST Salt Sacrafice http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3430339 So another challenge I have going for myself this week is to sacrifice salt. By this I mean no added salt, keep the hand off the salt shaker.
29
I already know I eat a lot of foods high in salt, not to mention everything seems to be loaded with salt already. Following my no processed food rule this week, this should be another cinch. Both are easier said then done, for me that is. You just have to want it bad enough, hmmm if I'm being honest not sure I do. However, tryin... Wed, 14 Jul 2010 08:35:07 EST
