Sat, 2 Jan 2010 11:12:49 EST What is going on here?! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2680088 Yesterday was a pretty positive day...and a wake up call. I weighed in (after my walk and a cup of Kashi & skim) @ 130 lb. While I may have been retaining SOME water from the sugar/salt I had on NYE...overall....I am the same I was Jan 2009. Part of me feels like I shouldn't complain and is thankful that I was able to not GAIN weight in 09; however, when your goal was to loose 10 lbs...shoot I woulda been happy w/ 5...its kind of sad. I mean there are people on here that succeed at loosin... Sat, 2 Jan 2010 11:05:23 EST Day 5 of 20 (3 of 18)...Corps Fitness!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2640060 (This is from yesterday).

I am in love w/ Corps Fitness! I am already a member at Gold's but a friend told me about Corps Fitness and got me to go w/ her to check it out. It's a small "gym" (really a small warehouse type bldg w/ open floor space and some free weights and other equip.) It's run by a former Marine. I took the beginners basic training class and I was NERVOUS!! I had heard that people throw up sometimes!! But I did it...and I must say it was a great workout but n... Thu, 17 Dec 2009 10:32:54 EST Day 4 of 20 (or 2 of 18)...peanut butter balllllllllllls http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2636726 I made it to the gym again. I did the same treadmill climb as yesterday bc I am trying to take it easy in preparation for Corps Fitness class tmrw (a boot camp style class, run my a former Mrine where "it's not uncommon for people to throw up.") What the hell did my friend get me to agree to?! Anyway..I am nervous and want to be able to give it all I've got instead of being tired and sore.

I did better today w/ eating:
-protein oatmeal - bfast
-no am snack
-Lean ... I didn't have a sugar crash like I normally would after indulging, which is good. I ate light/lo... Mon, 14 Dec 2009 23:18:14 EST exercising on Thanksgiving...I'm for it! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2599787 So I made it to the gym before they closed on Thanksgiving and did my own (or should I say SHAPE magazine's hill workout) spin routine for 45 min. I was very proud of myself but when I called my mom back (she had called while I was on the bike) and told her where I was she yelled, "IT'S THANKSGIVING!!" I said, "and?" She apparently thinks you should not work out on holidays. I say...I am just being thankful for my body being healthy and doing what I ask of it. Who's with me? Mon, 30 Nov 2009 22:25:24 EST I sooo want a heart rate monitor http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2575613 I'm kind of annoyed...I HATE how cardio equipment calorie read out is so inaccurate. I love seeing the big numbers, but I hate thinking...there's no way!...in the back of my mind. The elliptical...says I burn 330 in 30 min (which seems high to me) and SP says 241! That's almost a 100 cal difference!

On the other end of the scale...I used my Nike + while on the treadmill which told me I burned 421, SP told me I burned about 268 and the treadmill said somewhere in the 200s (darn,...
