Got my A1C back and I am at 5.3 . So now we will be trying some new things like extended release metformin, diet, and exercise.

On a totally different subject, my son road his first rollercoaster. The cool part is that it's the same rollercoaster I rode for my first rollercoaster ride in 1985. However, the ride had been relocated to our local amusment park in 1990. 283 Tue, 16 Jul 2013 00:40:52 EST Active again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5405174 Okay, I have to admit that I am feeling fantastic. I still have my chemo aches and pains, but overall my energy level is picking up. This is such a blessing after two years of feeling frumpy. I am using the diabetics tracker for food and meal. Wouldn't you know it, I have lost two pounds. I am counting them as my first two post hot mess. Smile and have a blessed day. 213 334 Sat, 29 Jun 2013 03:02:52 EST Mowing? Hehe! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5399680 386 Today I mowed the yard. Not a huge deal to some but for me it's a big victory. It's my way if thumbing my nose at BC. I still can't start it hubby gets to do that. I'm sure my PT will love it. I like mowing on nice evenings. The smell of fresh cut grass, exercising, and tuning out the rest if the world. Now if I could just get house cleaning to be that enjoyable. 104 Sun, 23 Jun 2013 23:44:22 EST A whole year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5396935 Ok I am back. My last entry was 6/12/12 for any of my tracker activities. It makes sense. I had emergency back surgery 6/22/12. My breast cancer metastasized to my T11 vertebra. It's been a long road to recovery. They completely removed the tumor, but 80% of my vertebra went with it. They put in a titanium implant. I had an additional 23 rounds of radiation and continue on targeted chemotherapy. Yet, I am still here. I somehow managed to lose weight and now it's time to take it a notch high... Fri, 21 Jun 2013 01:25:42 EST Spring is Here! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4850159 Yeah! I made it through all of my nasty treatments. Sunday I did a Susan G. Komen 5k walk. It was fantastic. I enjoyed the beautiful sun and walking 1 year + 1 day after my Breast Cancer diagnosis. It's such a blessing to be on the glorious end being done. I still have a few steps to take towards a healtier me, but I'm getting there. I have teamed up with Wildtree
to eat cleaner. With Sparkpeople trackers I am finally losing my chemo weight. I'... Tue, 24 Apr 2012 15:42:51 EST Happy New year! Happy New me! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4652136 I am so close to the top of the mountain. Growing up with a father who is the ultimate outdoorsman I have been to the top of serveral small "Mountains". I hated it growing up. He could take one step for every thirty of mine and I always felt behind. As an adult, I've learned I can make my own pace. My kids run circles around me and I love it. So I've been viewing my trek with cancer the same way. I go at it at my pace. Currently, I have 6 radiation treatments left. I'm tired, but feeling p... Mon, 2 Jan 2012 19:10:57 EST Getting better! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4567627 IT's been a good week. Met with my medical oncologist the first time since surgery. He was very happy with the pathology report. No more chemo for me, I'm still on herceptin until May. I haven't had any issues with it so I'm ok with taking it. The drains seem to be working. I was able to drive yesterday and didn't have a ton of fluid. Looks like they're going to take them out on Monday. Fri, 4 Nov 2011 00:52:30 EST OHHOH My Seroma! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4557719 Had drains put back in today. I am fighting seroma's in each side. They did it using utlra-sound to guide them. The Dr. thought they'd be out in about 7 days. Praying for some quick healing. Mentally the drains are a good thing. I feel better not being so bound (light compression compared to hard compression) I was also able to walk up the wall an extra inch without the skin being so tight. Fri, 28 Oct 2011 16:26:54 EST
