Sometimes we say you’re welcome. Sometimes we say there is no need to thank us. Sometimes we are surprised they are thanking us because we are really just doing our job. When others thank us we are to tell them to give God the glory rather than us. God’s will is for us to always be thankful. He wants us to acknowledge Him and what He does... Thu, 23 Feb 2017 05:55:07 EST Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, February 22, 2017 February 22, 2017 WE CAN DO GOD’S WILL

We are to seek God’s will, learn God’s will and know God’s will. We are to obey God’s will and share God’s will. His will is written all throughout the Bible. When we get into His word, we are seeking His will. When we pray and trust in Him, we are learning God’s will. When we make it a practice to spend time with Him, we will know His will. When we step out and do what He calls us to do, we will obey His will. When we speak to others about wh... Wed, 22 Feb 2017 06:41:09 EST Thought and Prayer for Tuesday, February 21, 2017 February 21, 2017 SIN BLOCK

Sin will block us from being able to do God’s will. Joshua was leading his people to conquer their enemies. However due to Achen disobeying the Lord, Joshua’s men were killed in battle. There are consequences to disobedience. One consequence is we will be caught and disciplined on earth. Another is we will not have a right relationship with God. If we want to do God’s will and be successful, we need to be sure we are living as He commands us to live. We ... Tue, 21 Feb 2017 06:10:47 EST Thought and Prayer for Monday, February 20, 2017 February 20, 2017 IT TAKES PATIENCE

Doing almost anything takes patience. In this fast paced world, we get impatient when our smart phones don’t go fast enough or when the microwave takes too long. But as the old saying goes “good things come to those who wait.” It’s true. Patience is a virtue. Learning patience will help us so much in our lives. We need to practice patience so we can grow spiritually as we live for God each day. Becoming who God wants us to be is not instantaneou... Mon, 20 Feb 2017 08:39:56 EST Thought and Prayer for Sunday, February 19, 2017 February 19, 2017 LIVE HONORABLE LIVES

Knowing God’s will and doing it are, of course, two different things. We can do both but still not be right with God. When we get to know God and His will for our lives, we begin to take action. However, if we are taking action doing His will but not living a right life in the process, we won’t be doing His will at all. God tells us to live honorable lives. God tells us to do what is right and good in His sight. Every day we should pray askin... Sun, 19 Feb 2017 06:44:54 EST Thought and Prayer for Saturday, February 18, 2017 February 18, 2017 OBEDIENCE

Obedience is complying with another’s request, law or authority. When we obey someone, we are doing what they ask us to do. For example, there are some laws we may not always agree with or understand but we comply with them because we know we are supposed to obey. To be a true follower of God, we are to obey Him. If we want to know God’s will for us, it is that we obey Him.

SCRIPTURE:
Psalm 119:33-34 “Teach me your decrees, O Lord; I wi... To have a right relationship with anyone, even God, it requires action our part. We have to take the initiative to get to know Him. We have to spend time talking with Him. We have to share with Him our issues and praise Him for all He has done. It is God’s will is for us to pray to Him. It is His will we pray for His will to be done. We have to believe in Him and in the future. Both we cannot see. However, when we believe His will to be done, He will work through us. When we step out in faith. He will do great things through us. When we live by believing in Him and not having to see things for ourselves, He will direct our paths, go before us, walk with us and keep us safe. He tells us we can do greater things through Him ... Thu, 16 Feb 2017 05:57:18 EST Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, February 15, 2017 February 15, 2017 MEDITATE

To know God’s will means we are to get into His word. Many people think they can know God without reading His word. It’s just not possible. His word is made up of stories about Him and people who had relationships with Him and people who rebelled against Him. We are to read His word but not stop there. Just reading is not understanding. We are to meditate on His word and apply it to our lives. His word will help us build a relationship with Him and help u... Because of His love, we are saved. God’s will is that we love one another. First we have to know what love is. God tells us that in His word. Then we need to pray about God helping us to love, really love, others. Next, we put it into action. We are to love others all the days of our lives. It is our responsibility to love others as God has called us to do.

SCRIPTURE:
1 Co... We complain about them. We get frustrated with them. We even avoid them, if possible. However, if we do nothing we will never know God’s will. If we do something, we may eventually know and understand the specific reason why we are here on this earth. We are all here to serve others and worship God. However, there is a specific... Mon, 13 Feb 2017 06:08:20 EST Thought and Prayer for Sunday, February 12, 2017 February 12, 2017 HELPING CHILDREN

Children are very impressionable. They aren’t sure who to listen to or who to trust; however, most of them trust everyone until they learn not everyone is telling the truth. That is why it is so important we teach them God’s truths and His promises and His will. Teaching them God’s will and how to respond to His word is so important. Despite if we have children or not, we can find a way to teach them about God and let them know they can truly trus... We shouldn’t compare what others do to what we do. We all can’t do the same things and we all have different responsibilities. We are to have a right relationship with God, focus on the responsibilities He gave us and do all we can to follow through with them. When we accept the fact we all have different responsibilit... Sat, 11 Feb 2017 06:37:05 EST Thought and Prayer for Friday, February 10, 2017 February 10, 2017 DON’T BE AFRAID

When we are called to do God’s will, we needn’t be afraid because He is with us. He planned for us to do His will long ago before we were even born. So when He speaks to us to go and do, we need to go with hesitating. We may be a little afraid like Gideon. We may have had doubt like Moses. We may laugh at what God wants us to do like Abraham. But these men all took action despite how they felt about themselves because they trusted in God and knew H... They are ready and prepared to act no matter what the issues. They respond out of duty knowing what they discover and what they do in those first few minutes are critical to the situation. Whether we realize it or not, we encounter emergencies every day. Emergencies not of physical issues but lost souls. There are people all around us who are dying inside and need Go... Thu, 9 Feb 2017 10:15:19 EST Thought and Prayer for Wednesday, February 8, 2017 February 8, 2017 STAND FIRM

We all have gone through some type of suffering. Suffering isn’t fun. When we are suffering, we sometimes take the focus off of God and others and put the focus more on us. We ask why are we suffering? Why have we been singled out? However, God wants us to know even in our suffering we can do His will. Even in our suffering can follow and obey Him. We have many mentors in the Bible who have suffered and even in the present day yet they continue to stand ... Wed, 8 Feb 2017 06:45:49 EST Thought and Prayer for Tuesday, February 7, 2017 February 7, 2017 HIS WILL IS BEST

We need to be careful we are not swayed by others who mean well when God has given us a task to do. We should stay focused on God’s way and know others will see God’s work when we do. If we give in to others and not do God’s will, others will not see the miracles God can do through us. Both Elizabeth and Zechariah remembered their son should be named John. They followed God’s plan and didn’t listen to others who thought the baby should have a famil... Tue, 7 Feb 2017 06:39:32 EST Thought and Prayer for Monday, February 6, 2017 February 6, 2017 WE CAN’T DO IT ALONE

Even when God created Adam, He knew Adam shouldn’t be alone. He created a woman to walk along beside Him, encourage him, talk to God with him and celebrate with him. Part of God’s will for us is that we stay connected with other believers. When we attempt to try to do things alone, we may not be doing God’s will as He wants us to. We could be missing out on so much when we disconnect from other believers. God wants us to belong to a body of bel... Any building that is not set up correctly will fall. Anything we do where we don’t plan and prepare for and follow the directions will probably not be worth much when we are done. However, because of media, because of other people, because of the ways of the world, we could be easily influenced to do what the world is doing. We could be easily influenced to say what the world says. We could be easily influenced to live as the world lives. However, God tells us in His word we are not to copy the behavior and customs of this world. He wants to transform us so we are thinking about Him and k... Sat, 4 Feb 2017 07:29:31 EST Thought and Prayer for Friday, February 3, 2017 February 3, 2017 EXCESS

If we want to obey God and do His will, we need to get rid of the excess in our lives. Where we have too many things, give some away. Where we eat too much wrong foods, start cutting back. Where we spend too much money, begin with a plan. When we have excess in anything it keeps us from doing God’s will because that excess is always in the way. They don’t take time to find out. It's sad but true. People think they can't find out what His will is for them so they do nothing except use that as an excuse not to do His will. However, God has a purpose for all people. His will is written in His word. His plan and purpose for each of us can be discovered with a personal relationship with Him. We have many, many choices in life. However, if we do things on our own we are choosing to do our own will rather than God's will. Going about our business as if God didn’t exist is the last thing we need to do. To know God’s will we are to stay in His word, pray and connect with other believers. God tells us godliness with contentment equals great wealth. It may be hard to understand but when we get to know God and His word, we will understand the true meaning of being content. Regarding emotions, they overreact about the smallest things. With food, they eat more than the need to. With regard to money, they spend too much and live beyond their means. Whatever the reason for being out of control, these people are searching for something. They are looking for more in life and trying to fill a void. That void should be filled by Jesus. We grow up. We go to school. We go to work. We have choices about how and when to spend our money. However, there are ways we are truly blessed other than money. There are riches from God that are far greater than the worldly riches we seem to hear about every day. We budget money for food. We plan out paying our bills. We put a little in savings. However, we are also to seek out ways to use our money to help others. It's true. The more we hang on to money, the better chance we have of losing it all. However, when we give and give freely, we will become more and more wealthy. God gives us what we need and wants to show us how to best use it. When we decide to use money how we want, God isn't going to supply all our needs from His glorious riches. He has a plan. Boasting is an attempt we or others take to make ourselves look good. We may boast about our jobs. We may boast about our family. We may boast about what worldly things we have or the money we make. We believe we just don't make enough and especially don't have enough to tithe. Not tithing is the reason we are in a financial mess.
