FOXYPHAEDRA's SparkPeople Blog FOXYPHAEDRA's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Just a Swingin' (Kettlebells)! Hello, all my awesome Sparkfriends! I have twice before written long blogs that have been lost before they got posted, which is the pits, especially since I almost never have time to blog!!! However, I have had a couple Sparkfriends ask me about Kettlebells (I'm going to shorten it to KBs), so I am going to write about my experience so far.

I have been using KBs since February, but I only a did it a couple times a week at first. I got a set of 15, 20 and 25 pound KBs, and I put the... Mon, 15 Apr 2013 15:58:26 EST Reminder: Sleep is super important for a healthy body! But you guys already knew that!

t-cells-rest-131400290.html Tue, 23 Oct 2012 15:32:27 EST Random Thoughts on a Friday in October As you may have surmised by my September birthday, my astrological sign is Virgo. I don't consider myself a super strong Virgo, but I do tend towards perfectionism. This is one reason my blogs are so few and far between. I have all these random thoughts in my head, and I want to write them out in an organized, not to mention stylistically pleasing, manner. Maybe even with some humor, or a lesson or a deeper meaning. But my thoughts rarely coalesce into anything that pleases me. It might help ... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 13:21:39 EST Country Roads, Take Me Home I am way overdue for a blog update, but gosh, it's hard to find a chunk of time to sit down and write. And of course, the longer I wait, the harder it is. I am in a weird space, trying to decide how much energy I can/should devote to fitness and what my next fitness goals should be. Boorring. Happy to hear any suggestions or advice, though.

I just wanted to put up some pics of the beautiful NY countryside that I ran around last week.

The living quarters are midway up t... Wed, 22 Aug 2012 23:37:42 EST I should have known It's been a rough couple weeks. Heck, it's been a rough couple months. My toddler has been sick for weeks, and last week I got a stomach virus and we passed it all around. Ugh. Really awful stuff. I got it twice, 6 days apart. The only saving factors: it only lasts a few hours, and Noah seemed to get over it more quickly than the adults. As you can imagine, I have vowed to be more vigilant about hand-washing, but that's seems to me about all I can do. Kids get sick, especially when they go t... Thu, 12 Jul 2012 17:08:52 EST for me So this is my third blog entry. I wrote my second one around June 4 or 5, about 10 days before my deadline to get to 130. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to make it. It was an awesome blog, but somehow it didn't get posted, so my thoughts and feelings, so eloquently written out in words to be captured in the ethernet for all time, disappeared, and an hour of my time with it. Aargh. Oh well.
This third entry isn't going to be about my thoughts and feelings, though. I want to write out w... Fri, 29 Jun 2012 11:14:00 EST My first time This is the first time I've ever blogged. Ever. I have kept journals/diaries at certain points in my life, but I have never put my innermost thoughts online for anyone to read. I use Facebook to keep in touch with my far-flung friends and family, and to post photos of my adorable two-year-old, but I rarely post anything related to my reflections on daily life, much less my metaphysical musings. I have, in the past, been disdainful of bloggers, pointing out the vain, self-obsessed navel-gazing... Fri, 10 Feb 2012 17:43:27 EST
