I weighed myself on that starting day and realized that in the 159 days since I last weighed myself, I had gained 5 lbs. That isn't bad but it's going in the wrong direction. Since then I've lost 4 lbs and I am trying to get more exercise and count the food that goes in my mouth. It's going to be hard as it is the month of Christmas and New Year's Eve. How to enjoy it w/o gaining the weight..... Since he is losing the weight and I've been sort of hovering around the same as I've always been, he keeps on commenting on how I need to stop eating this or that and basically telling me that I'm fat. The pain is mostly gone with occasional pain due to bad weather coming now and again. It's ok. Arthritis is something that I have to learn to deal with. Thu, 14 Mar 2013 12:34:20 EST Set a goal today When I got on the treadmill and was viewing how many calories burned in 3 laps, I realized that I would have to walk 9 laps just to burn off 300 calories. So I did. Just before my last lap was over, an Avon customer called. I filled the order and then went and finished the lap and figured, "what the heck" I did another lap to make it a total of 2 1/2 miles walked. Tue, 12 Feb 2013 20:46:10 EST Ankle Problems and New Shoes Well I went to the doctor yesterday and he looked at my ankle and opted not to X-ray it. He suggested new shoes with better arch support. So I went to the mall and checked out a few places, got my foot measured and discovered that I am wearing the wrong size shoes. I was wearing a 10W and I'm an 11W according to them. They brought out these "fugly" shoes called New Balance with a wider toe in it. I have to admit that my feet feel better but my feet look like Bigfoot's. I think I could of gone... Sat, 9 Feb 2013 18:07:22 EST Still Painful Today I have decided to cancel my contract with CURVES until I know what in the heck is going on with my ankle. Since I have to let them know 30 days in advance, I guess I can stay on the meal plan until then. In the meantime, do Wii exercises that do not require too much walking or stepping. I also have that recumbent bike. I still have had no time to rest my ankle to allow healing time. The weekend was so busy and so was today with Avon deliveries and brochure passing out. I stayed from 10 am-2pm talking to people about Avon and just getting to know them. I had a great time but my ankle paid for it again. I think it's the shoes I wear. They are dress shoes but Dr. Schols. I went to the chiropractor today to get the ankle worked on but I am not sure it's helping this time. I weighed myself on the Wii Board and discovered that I weighed between 263 and 264 lbs. I thought that was good BUT I got hungry late in the night and ate some tuna salad. That raised my weight back up to 265 lbs for today's weigh-in. Today I made myself exercise as punishment for it. Tue, 29 Jan 2013 19:15:05 EST Want to Do a Snoopy Dance I only went to CURVES once last week. I tried going there Friday and Saturday but the open sign was off both times. My fault. I should remember the hours that they are open. I do have to up my fitness schedule, however if I want to reach my goal of 8 lbs lost in 1 month. So far 3 lbs. 5 to go and I have 2 weeks to do it. The challenge the curves coach gave me for this week is if I am watching TV, I have to get up during the commercials and move around, march in place, dance do something to add steps to my pedometer. I lost 2 1/2 pounds. Due to the ankle giving me problems, I told them that I did not want to exercise right now to find out my range of motion for the smart tag. After CURVES, I went right up to the chiropractor to get adjusted. The adjusted the ankle and got 3 good clicks out of it. Yesterday I went up to Marshfield, WI to the ABATE of WI event, Early Times. I could only stay a couple of hours, however, as AVON had a event at the Mall on Ive's St. to attend. It was a Bridal expo and Avon paid for representatives to be there. I went there to help our district manager out and thought other representatives would be there helping out as well. What I do not like is their meal plan. What they suggest is beyond my budget. What I need is something like Spark people where you count the calories and the amount of food you eat each day. It seems every time I start exercising and feeling good about myself I injure my knee. It's hard to keep track of what you eat unless you have a journal with you, but I think I did pretty well. For exercise, we went camper shopping. Hopefully I stuck with the rule of half the plate should be fruit and vegetables and one quarter a protein and one quarter of it starch. I did do 10 minutes yestesrday out in the parking lot at work and most likely I'll do that again today. Also, a party after work that includes bowling. I have not bowled in years. The moon was almost full so we needed no flashlight for walking. Mon, 12 Sep 2011 09:48:00 EST Keeping Busy While Waiting Being that the dryer is broke and too many other clothes hanging on the line, I took my clothes to the laundrymat after work. To make the time pass by faster while waiting for them to dry, I walked around the block. The walk took me past the city's cemetery which I stopped and looked at a few relatives graves and a grave of an old friend whom I miss greatly. Her grave is unmarked, but her parent's grave is there so that is where I stop. Continuing on down the road leads me downhill to a stops...
