When Danny said we only had to do 3 laps, instead of 6 I knew something was up. Yeah, after running 3 laps we had to go back in the gym and pick the weight size of our choice and head back outside. He then proceed to give us directions. For starts we had to do 30 fast high knees, followed by weighted walking lunges, and after that we had to do 3 sprints. Hey, I'm fine with that because I listened to my body and wasn't going to push myself any further. I don't want any injuries. Let me back up just a little. When I got on the treadmill this morning the gym was so hot. I asked one of the staff if they could cool it down. The guy said let me check the temperature. He turned on the big fan and the lady next to me got off her treadmill. I guess she didn't like... It started on my way home from work and I had a awful craving for Hostess mini powder donuts. Well, I just had to give in and buy a pack. I went to the movies and got a medium popcorn, however I ate less than half. Why did I purchase a med. I really don't know. Just greed I guess. I can honesty say that I'm back in control. My weight lost has been stagnant for months and weight lost has not been going in the direction I was aiming for, however thorough it all I never doubted myself or beat myself down. I continued to get up and stay positive even when it was tough. I found that exercising was my outlet. My eating habits had became astray, but now I'm getting back on track. But, the kicker was doing the lower abdominal work. I had to stand and hold onto two handles with my lower forearms resting on the pads. My son actually challenged me to do some reps. I told him," I can't do that". He threw a line at me that I've told him before,"Don't say you can't do something before trying". I got on the equipment and I managed to do 7 lower abd raises and paused in between reps with my knees up. ... That's not the challenge, but staying in my calorie range. I'm sure I'll be fine, because I think about the caloric intake majority of the time. I will make the best choice of what's available. I know I can take food with me, but I've been cooking all week and this will be my break away from the stove. I know for sure after seeing the food showdown I will not be getting a funnel cake.
