Since we are in a small town with a limited choice of food, I eat what is cooked. I'm eating highly processed foods. My mother in law does the shopping and the cooking (except breakfast) and she is so kind and considerate but adamant about her way of doing things. There is a Wal-Mart with a limited deli and when I asked f... Thu, 6 Nov 2014 17:56:00 EST Successful Milestone Today was a great day (after I got over a bad attitude). I have been practicing toes to bar for about a month now with little success and today after a workout I walked up to some high rings my husband was using to practice muscles and jumped for them. I grabbed them, and went straight to toes through rings, more than once. I was so excited and yes, I went to the bar and did a couple toes to bar. It doesn't seem like much to those not in Crossfit but it was major to me.

This... Wed, 24 Sep 2014 21:03:56 EST Recovery In Progress I damaged both legs in an attempt at 30 inch box jump. It was a bad fail and cost five stitches and some nerve damage, but there out and I'm okay to get back into the box (slowly at first). It has kind o gotten me down a bit about my lack of fitness minutes, so I have been trying to do more movement at home in between times of propping my leg up. I'm hoping that I can get back into the swing of things soon. Some parts are still tender and so I'm careful. I've also had some other stress that I... Sun, 6 Jul 2014 15:13:37 EST Wow! Third Place at the Grage Games Summer Jam I rarely blog, but I am so excited that we actually did a big competition after just starting crossfit. My husband and I started it about two months ago. Sun, 8 Jun 2014 10:07:20 EST Getting Realistic and a New Journal 527 521
Recently I caught a cold and I had some minor discomfort with my COPD. This time I didn't feel like giving in, even though I knew it could be a while before I exercised again. Although this may sound silly I was excited about a new journal.

203
I recently started crossfit to help me in trail running and I really enjoy it. A lady said to take a picture and keep track of my progress. My husband bought me a journal that I decorat... Tue, 20 May 2014 00:22:37 EST Unexpected Challenges A few days ago Charles (my husband - aka Papa175) started bleeding in his head behind his eye and his retina became detached. Tomorrow there is a specialist who is going to try and save any vision left in his eye. Right now he is almost blind in his left eye. They said he should have went to the ER when the floater appeared but he waited a few days, we never heard of it and didn't know it was so serious.

<BR... Thu, 3 Apr 2014 03:08:35 EST My First Medal 364 I recently ran a 5k trail race with my husband and had a great time. My health has been steadily improving since December with minimal set backs and I decided it as time to get back to business. I started the conditioning program by Jeff Galloway preceding the weeks of the race and then raced. There were only a couple of obstacles but it was challenging my muscles and yet lots of fun. I did come in pretty close to last but still in time to make third in my age division and take... Wed, 26 Mar 2014 23:39:22 EST Getting Fit and Lean in 2014

Last year was steady and there were not many setbacks, however, I did not see the accomplishments I'd hoped for and want to change that for 2014. Recently I restarted reading "The Spark" book and also some books on fitness and nutrition. I'm more motivated and have decided to set timetables to go along with my goals. Because it is primarily weigh loss and nutrition, they are more approximations but a target to sho... Sun, 5 Jan 2014 00:20:34 EST Watchful Walking
That is such a pretty picture and even prettier to actually see. Recently our car broke down and without a vehicle we have been walking to the gym. It's not that far away, only 1.25 miles, but I noticed this little stream that I never knew was there before. I was not in a good mood that day because I would have probably driven to the gym if I had the car and admit I will when it gets fixed, but seeing something so be... Wed, 14 Aug 2013 16:45:15 EST Getting Lean in 2013

This year I have set out simple and doable goals that are important to me. My husband and I have some together and so if he posts too, they may seem alike. It is needful for me to blog more often because it really is motivating to do so, but I didn't put that on my list since I'm not sure I'll commit to it.
193
1. Lose 10% of body weight (hopefully more)
296
2. Read my ... Sat, 5 Jan 2013 04:04:19 EST They Bailed but I Still Prevailed The day came for my first 5k and I was nervous. My husband had to work that day so other family was suppose to go with me. My mom had to go to work early, so I can understand that. My nephew stayed up late and was too tired, my daughter and grandkids stayed up late because their dad had just came in the night before from out of town. My niece won't get up before noon and so on. IAs I dropped my husband off, I started to get more nervous and almost didn't go. Time went by as I sat parked outsi... I was doing do good and making great progress and then sitting for days in the car, riding and driving, upset me so bad that I felt like a failure. When I got home i did not even want to get on Sparkpeople be... Thu, 4 Oct 2012 12:10:07 EST WooHoo, They Didn't Even know ~686 to 353~ The Right Way Okay some of you are familiar with cholesterol and some not, but I never even knew about triglycerides when I was a vegetariam. A few years back I had an accident and the weight packed on fast. One bad news after another and I pretty much gave up. One day the doctor (the female one, I have two in case my body needs to be looked at) said she wanted to speak to me. I tried to blow her off but she was insistant. Something called triglycerides were 686 and I would need to be put on medications AS... Fri, 17 Aug 2012 13:44:20 EST
