I'm on day 6 now of the 30 day shred and it is getting better...I am still having troubles doing the entire circuit where it goes from jumping-jacks, to jump rope, back to jumping jacks. I end up doing an alternate version of some of it and then getting back into the regular movement, so I am hoping to be able to do that entire circuit by the end of the 1... Tue, 23 Jul 2013 23:47:12 EST Day 5 of the 30 day shred Not much to update tonight...I only got in 40 mins of exercise tonight and was almost able to do the full 20 mins of the 30 day shred without any alternating moves. I have noticed that doing the DVD, my calves are the main muscles that get incredibly sore. I am hoping after 10 days of doing the DVD I can move to stage 2! I want to be able to do the full 20 mins without a problem before moving on though so I will keep pushing till that happens. For dinner I had salmon, rice, green beans, and a... Thu, 18 Jul 2013 00:59:38 EST Day 4 of the 30 day shred I was so unmotivated when I got home from work. Sitting for your entire shift at a computer desk tends to make me pretty tired by the end of the day and I definitely had the "I'll just workout tomorrow" thought pass through my mind. No way though...I pushed myself to get my workout gear on and I completed day 4 of the 30 day shred as well as some dancing workout. I feel awesome and I am very proud of myself for pushing to get exercising even when I THINK I am too tired to do so. I have also b... Tue, 16 Jul 2013 22:41:10 EST Day 3 of the 30 day shred Well even though it has been only been my 3rd day of doing the 30 day shred DVD I can already notice changes in my body! I couldn't do some of the circuits continually because my calves would get sore, but tonight I definitely pushed through alot longer then before! I also did some dancing after because my basement is big enough to jump around so I turned on a zumba playlist and just worked out my legs and arms! I am hoping to do the DVD as much as I can, and go through all 3 stages eventuall... Sat, 13 Jul 2013 23:18:05 EST Cravings and Food Addiction I think we all have had that moment when you could just grab a bag of chips or run out to a fast food joint. After you feel that awful resentment and you know it wasn't worth it. I am having this moment as we speak so I thought I would channel it into a blog post. As of now, I want a burger and some fries. It's interesting how food addiction can just wash over you as it is doing to me this very second. I just need to keep telling myself that it is not worth it and there are better foods to ea... Fri, 12 Jul 2013 20:56:14 EST 30 Day Shred So I bought the 30 day shred DVD and tonight was my first night trying out stage 1...let me tell you, I was definitely impressed. I thought that a 20 minute video wasn't going to do much but my heart was pumping by the end of it and my legs were beginning to get that jelly feeling. I found out by calculation that I burned approx. 150 calories in just that one 20 minute session! Very impressed. I also danced around my house for a bit because you can never dance too much! AND to top the night o...
