FINALLY17's SparkPeople Blog FINALLY17's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Focus Having a few days off last week and into this past weekend, was an excuse for me not to track my food. I was running around, and wasn't home. I didn't have the time to log in and track. Excuse after excuse I gave and after a day, I didn't even think about tracking my food. I believe I ate relatively well except for 1 or 2 days. It is what it is, and I can't go back and change it. However, I made it to the gym for the last 5 days. I even started a couch to 5k type program in order to get mysel... Mon, 8 Jul 2013 23:26:38 EST Thursday Blahs and a plan to exercise Today was a good food day. But not a good exercise day. I gave myself Wednesday off from walking, because of my schedule, and had all intentions of getting a walk in today, but my schedule isn't allowing me to get that walk in.

I'm going to write my plan out here, so that I am held accountable to getting the exercise I need/crave in for the next few days.
Friday: walk during lunch,
Saturday : walk in the morning
Sunday: afternoon.

Thu, 27 Jun 2013 22:58:11 EST Thankful After being at training all day, and getting home later than usual from work. I was thankful that I had planned dinner yesterday and it was ready when I walked in door.

I'm thankful for a friend who gave me insight into a situation with another friend, that gave me the closure I needed.

I'm thankful, I had the motivation to get out there and go for another walk.

Today is just a day to be thankful. Tue, 25 Jun 2013 23:24:48 EST Back to my routine So after a week of vacation, and family time. I returned to my normal routine waking up headed to work. Was getting a bit overwhelmed at one point during my day, so I got up and took a 10 minute walk around the building. We had intended on going to the gym once I got home, but LOML (love of my life), had a different idea. He ended up falling asleep... I was disappointed, but I ended up using the time effectively. I have a bit of a different schedule for the next 3 days with work training, so ... Tue, 25 Jun 2013 00:03:41 EST Week is Over I'm back. I was out of touch for about a week with family in town. It was a great week. I am so proud of the graduates and all that they accomplished. I am also proud of myself. I didn't beat myself up for not tracking my food for the week. But I know that I made the best food choices based on the options I had at each meal.

My snacking was controlled, I made sure to have some healthy options in the house for when we had some down time between family events. When eating out, I chec... Sat, 22 Jun 2013 10:44:56 EST Strength is needed Today starts the beginning of a hectic week. I'm actually proud of myself for starting my return to healthiness journey even knowing this week was going to happen. In previous years, I would have used it as an excuse to wait to start. Instead, I'm using it as motivation. I've already planned out my meals for the week the best that I can, I've even looked up the nutritional information for the meal options for our grad dinner, and am planning my meals around that for that one day. I'm Proud of... Sat, 15 Jun 2013 12:29:09 EST Day 2 Today was my second day logging my food and my choices going into dinner were great. But dinner put me over the edge. We are about to celebrate a high school graduation, elementary graduation, family in town for both of these events, and to make it easier for us, we decided to have pizza for dinner. I've done this before, I know I can have pizza, I know I shouldn't deprive myself, I just didn't realize that such small pieces of pizza would equal almost all of my calories for the day. I learne... Sat, 15 Jun 2013 00:05:55 EST First Full Day Yesterday I became a member here after I saw a picture of myself, that was unflattering. As unflattering as that picture may be, it was my wake up call. I have been talking about getting back on the fitness track for quite sometime, but I didn't have the motivation to do so. So the picture did it. I'm motivated. Last night, I planned out my breakfast and lunch ideas, and plugged them in to the tracker, and was pleasantly surprised, that I wasn't going to be feeling "deprived", by eating what ... Thu, 13 Jun 2013 21:47:28 EST My recent story In April 2012, I went on a girls weekend and ended up in the hospital for a week. The docktors were waiting for my blood to thin enough for me to come home. I had a blood clot in my leg with some clots in my lungs. I was then placed on warfarin and my eating changed dramatically, I was no longer able to eat without worrying about the vitamin I content and how it was going to effect my blood. So I stopped eating the healthy vegetables and instead began over compensating with carbohydrates and ... Wed, 12 Jun 2013 23:22:19 EST
