It was a small section that we don't walk on because the clothes hamper sits there, and the bin of dog food. We also put our window a/c units in 2 weeks ago, which means that the windows are all now closed. Last Friday morning I noticed a moldy smell in the kitchen, and noticed that the floor is worse, noticeably sagging in multiple places. We moved the hamper & bin, opened the little closet where the wa... Last September, he finally got to see her again after a 5 year absence. He was over the moon, but sad that he still didn't have any contact with his oldest daughter, Aleia. Kiersten lives here in Spokane with her mother & grandmother, and was much easier to get in touch with. At the time, Jim was working 5am-2:30pm, and was getting up at 4am. So I checked out the gym I was interested in, and it just didn't appeal to me. It was old and dirty, and none of the promotions they had listed on their website were even valid anymore, they just hadn't updated it in a year or two. Which turned out to be ok, because I ended up not being able to afford the membership ... It seems that there is always something else to do - grocery shopping, dishes, laundry, watch a movie, go out for karaoke with my peeps, or just go to bed early. I know that part of this is because of my BF's schedule. He has to be to work at 5am, so the alarm clock (my cell phone) gets set for 3:30. The problem is, he doesn't hear it, or at least not enough to wake him up completely. So I hit the snooze button, and 5... So I said I was going to get off to a great start in 2009. And I did. For about 2 days. I broke my 12 week exercise streak, and couldn't seem to go more than 3 days on a new streak. I started snacking on M&M's (gasp) and cheese nips (shakes head sadly...). I got busy at work and stopped logging my food throughout the day, like I had been doing. I let myself be talked out of getting on the computer in the evening, and into fast-food and super-sized desserts.

But I did do... I could no longer drive my car to work because it doesn't have a high enough ground clearance to drive over the berms, so I've had to rely on others to deliver me to and from work. This has totally messed up my schedule and I'm finally coming to terms with it.

I was on an 87 day exercise streak, and fell off it. My exercise since then ... I work a lot, so I rely on a lot of prepackaged items - salad dressings, side dishes, canned veggies (even the reduced sodium kind) and even my turkey kielbasa has tons of sodium. I know that if I get too much sodium, it makes that scale go up instead of down. I also know that if I drink tons of water, the pounds go away again. My BMI is 41.9, which puts me in the Obese category. This might not seem like something to celebrate to a lot of people, but to me it is incredible! I have been in the Morbidly Obese category for so long that I never really thought that I would get out of it. For so many years I let myself believe that I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT! After all the years of wanting to make a change, but never really doing it, I have finally found my inner strength. I never really thought that I was strong enough, or deserving enough, to do this. Fri, 29 Aug 2008 14:30:52 EST Special reward http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1417609 It's 4:20 am and I'm at work, wide awake thanks to 2 large cups of coffee. I have been up since 6:30 am, worked 17 hours so far, and have managed to stay within my calorie range for the day. Usually I go over on Fridays because of my long shift, and I just log part of it to Saturday, since technically some of it is eaten after midnight. Thu, 21 Aug 2008 14:03:07 EST Another loooooong Friday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1389063 It's Friday once again, time for my long work day. This has been an interesting week for me with weight fluctuations and eating habits. I had gotten down to 285, then went back up to 288. I didn't post anything about it, since I've been reading everyone elses posts and there were so many people going through the same thing. I figured it was just my turn to gain. Fri, 8 Aug 2008 14:38:11 EST Celebration! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1368979 I set my alarm to get up early today so that I could add the Done Girl Dance to my morning routine. Since I was up anyway, and not dressed yet, I decided to weigh myself - just for the hell of it. I just weighed on Monday, so I figured I wouldn't really see any change, but all night last night my BF kept insisting that he could really SEE that I've lost weight. He thought I'd lost around 50 lbs, and was very surprised when I said it was only 23.

So anyway, I stepped on that scale, ... Wed, 30 Jul 2008 10:03:38 EST OMG!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1354924 Holy Cow - I just used my afternoon break to do the VIDEO: Coach Nicole's Jump Start Cardio Workout. It's only 10 min long, and I did it at my desk (brought my tennies).

I was only able to do the basic steps, side-to-side and front-to-back. It made my hips hurt! Wed, 23 Jul 2008 18:58:50 EST Walking http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1354346 Last night I went Mall Walking with my sister and a friend. It was a lot of fun, but we had to detour around people a lot. My friend is about 7 inches shorter than I, so I had to shorten my stide considerably, meaning I didn't get as good a workout as I should have. But still, movement is movement.

We are walking again tonight, but on the Centennial Trail instead of at the mall, because it is fairly cool today. I can't wait! Lunch wasn't bad, I had a chicken taco salad at the mexican restaurant, and luckily it had hardly any cheese on it, mostly lettuce and grilled chicken. I did add a little sour cream and guacamole, and lots of salsa.

But later in the afternoon my dear bf and I went to a movie. So this week I have focused on using the nutrition tracker, and getting back into the habit of exercising every morning. I really didn't think I had done very good, as I had a hard time not snacking at work this week. But I just weighed myself, and I'm down to 294.8! I don't think I'll have access to a computer during that time, so I won't be tracking anything. The wedding is Friday in Pasco, WA, but I'm heading down there from Spokane tonight so that I can spend time with some friends.
