[Insanity Day 9] - This sh*t is bananas, yo! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4388933 OMG, Insanity Pure Cardio is a freaking nightmare. You KNOW it's bad when the instructor is bitching and says "this sh*t is bananas, yo." Even the folks in the DVD (who are fitness instructors) were being tapped out by Shaun T to take a break because they were comprimising form. I was wasting energy laughing out loud that THEY couldn't even do it.

Pure Cardio "warm-up" is 11 minutes - 3 circuits that you increase with intensity each circuit: jogging, jumping jacks, heismans (jump... [Insanity Day 8] http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4386869 Cardio Power and Resistance was on the schedule last night. We did this workout once last week. Still not able to do walking push-ups but I just do my girly push-ups instead. Still incredibly challenging to get through but I'm NOT feeling sore at all today.

Tonight we do the Insanity DVD that we missed on Friday: Pure Cardio.

Also on my schedule tonight: interval training...
10 min warm-up (walk/jog warm up)
1200 meters interval (then 90 second walking rest)... Tue, 26 Jul 2011 09:19:43 EST Completed Week 1 of Insanity! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4384550 Was offline for a few days because of a girls trip into Chicago. We went in Friday afternoon and came home Sunday afternoon. Most definitely didn't make the greatest choices. Had a primarily liquid diet (margaritas and other delicious drinks of the sort) on Friday and Saturday and I've paying for it now. I haven't had alcohol in 33 hours and I still feel horrible. I'm getting too old for this sh*t.....

Because I wasn't home, we didn't do Insanity on Friday and Saturday. Sunda... Mon, 25 Jul 2011 10:03:02 EST The Morning After... [Insanity Day 3!] http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4376596 It's the morning after Insanity Day 3. Wow, my calves are tight to walk on. Instead of calf muscles, it's like I have old rubber bands that are threatening to break with every step. It hurts my core to laugh or sneeze. However, the rest of me feels good.

Insanity Power and Resistance was a great workout. Josh and I took a few minutes before starting the DVD to do some stretching. We were both super sore going into it. Again, Insanity's "warm up" is super tough. The warm-up ... Thu, 21 Jul 2011 09:33:47 EST The Morning After... [Insanity Day 2!] http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4374462 It's the morning after Insanity Day 2. My calves, quads, gluteus maximus, abs, lower back, upper back, chest, biceps, and triceps just hurt. Is it sick that I like it? Change is happening!

Probably overdid it yesterday with the walking/jogging, sand volleyball, and then Insanity. I had an awesome number on the scale this morning but it’s probably just because of dehydration – there was a lot of sweating going on yesterday.

Sand volleyball was tons of fun. For years... Wed, 20 Jul 2011 09:45:13 EST Insanity Fit Test - Day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4372127 Officially started Insanity with Josh last night. Day 1 is just the 25 minute fit test (which included warm-up and cool-down) and it was tough. During the warm-up, Josh was like “What the heck? This is a WARM UP?”! The warm-up was jogging in place, jumping jacks, high knees, butt kicks, and other high impact moves. We were sweaty before we even began the real work-out! The fit test is on the schedule for every other Monday (to track your progress).

Here are my numbers for Fi... Tue, 19 Jul 2011 09:48:41 EST New Toy: Body Fat Caliper http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4361305 I bought a body fat caliper today because my Taylor scale is wishy-washy from day to day on my body fat composition. The caliper instructions say to only measure the suprailliac skinfold (located one inch about hipbone) to determine your total body fat %. Based on my 9mm reading (I tested, retested, then hubby tested, retested), this equates to a body fat % of 19%. The chart says this is lean/ideal. However, I wanted to do more extensive testing since I have an unusually small waist in ... The speaker was reviewing social psychology and the desire that most people have to be a part of a group. He stated that social media is one way for our members to feel more connected to the group and “take charge” of the association they belong to. He listed the personal benefits of belongin... Here are my goals & the plan on how to achieve them in 2011. I have constant reminders of my goals as I have them posted on the fridge at home, bulletin board above my desk at work, and now on here.
