Tomorrow hopefully my muscles will let me do some light elliptical work and strength training before I can get out there and do a real run on Thursday!

However, here's how my meals went today!

Breakfast - Playlist: 9... Tue, 23 Apr 2013 19:59:56 EST SparkPeople Meal Plans Day 1 Reflection http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5332177 I'm going to be honest, I was really nervous to start these. I look at these and I think that it looks like barely any food, especially considering I was just training for a half marathon, so I was eating pretty much anything in sight.

But after just 1 day on these meal plans, I'm actually feeling really good! Usually I have 2 snacks during the day, just because of my schedule, but the meal plans only allow for one, so I had to choose today which time I would rather have my snack,... Mon, 22 Apr 2013 20:36:52 EST An Experiment in SparkPeople Meal Plans http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5330704 I've decided to try out the SP meal plans. I have never done this before, so I'm interested to see how this affects both weight loss and my energy level. I figure this is about the perfect time to try these out. I just finished my Half Marathon training (knocked 7 minutes off my PR in yesterdays race!) so I won't have such a rigorous workout schedule until August, when I train for my next half marathon.

Of course, I've made a few changes already:
Instead of wheat crackers I ... Sun, 21 Apr 2013 14:47:09 EST Looking ahead: January 14-20 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5205474 I've decided to plan out my meals for the week. I printed off a sheet of paper and wrote everything down, which is going on my fridge. And I've also already tracked everything in my food tracker for the entire week. I'm hoping this helps keep me on track, otherwise I'd have to go through all the business of removing the planned food and putting in what I really ate, etc.

If I do really well (and follow my plan) I'll be right on, or slightly under my calorie goals for the week. I h... Sun, 13 Jan 2013 18:57:03 EST Resolutions! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5192366 I made TONS of resolutions last year, and really didn't end up keeping much of them. *sigh* So I'm starting off with less so I can have a better success percentage by the end of the year??

1) Run 2 Half-Marathons - I have already signed up and paid for the two I plan to run, so hopefully this will keep me accountable for those. I'm already done with week 1 of training for my first one too!

2) Spend 30 minutes to an hour a day working on my Spanish. I have Rosetta stone... Sat, 5 Jan 2013 23:03:31 EST Some new strategies http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5024845 I feel that summers are always the worst for me to try and lose weight. Why? Because I have wayyy too much free time, and I fill it up with snacking all day when I'm bored.

So while part of me wishes it was still summer and I could still lay around doing nothing all day (ok, most of me 20 ) the other part of me is glad that school has started. Because I have a set time that I can get up every morning, a set time for me to go to bed, a set time for breakfast, lunch, snack... Tue, 21 Aug 2012 11:53:25 EST A fantastic day of meals today! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4993667 I just have to share these because they are so lovely and wonderful. And guess what? Tomorrow I can do the whole thing again!!

So for breakfast I had an amazing smoothie. It consists of frozen banana, almond butter, medjool dates, chia seeds, and soy milk. MMMM.

Although this morning I had it by itself, I think tomorrow morning I will add in a piece of homemade bread topped with cinnamon suga... Mon, 30 Jul 2012 19:46:41 EST Did I just discover my ticket to the world? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4967824 I came across something called Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF for short). It's this amazing thing where you get free room/board on an organic farm, 3 meals a day, all in return for 4-5 hours of work on the farm (or whatever you work out with the farmer owners). These farms are ALL OVER THE WORLD.

You have to pay a small fee to join, but so do the owners of the farm. That's just to keep the system going for the future. I think it's about $10 or something. Then you get to s... Thu, 12 Jul 2012 21:36:27 EST Half Marathon Training Week 2 - LET'S GO! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4963028 Last week I completed my first week of half marathon training. It sucked. Well, the running part sucked. The other parts I did quite well. Why did the running suck?

Even at 8 am, the time when I'm generally running in the morning, it was 90 degrees outside, and humid. It was horrible. All three days I ran. It was just pathetic.

So I am really excited for this week because the highs are set to be in the high 80's. That's lower than it was early in the morning all last w... Mon, 9 Jul 2012 22:20:08 EST Final Weekly update blog! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4940636 First a look at the monthly goals:

1) Lose at least 1 lb - uhhh. So that was a success last week. But yesterday I weighed in having 'gained' almost 5 lbs. I highly doubt I actually gained that much. I kinda had a bad few days basically Thursday-Saturday, and when you weigh in on Sundays....Well... Let's just say I'm ignoring todays weigh in and forgetting about it.

2) Decrease my mile time by 10 seconds - YES. I did another magic mile and my first one (At the beginning... Sun, 24 Jun 2012 20:27:25 EST Weekly Update Blog - We Do Not Sow! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4929967 First, a check up on the monthly goals:

1) Lose at least 1 lb - SUCCESS. So far, that is. In the last year or so I've started roller coastering a lot. Although, the main movement IS downward in the long run, first I have a lot of ups and downs. Anyway. I started out this month weighing in at 180 lbs. This morning I weighed in at 178.6. I'm happy with that. I did a little happy dance.

2) Decrease my mile time by 10 seconds. - No word on this goal this week. I didn't do ... Sun, 17 Jun 2012 11:18:28 EST Weekly update blog! - We do not Sow! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4920649 How am I doing on my monthly goals?

1) Lose at least 1 lb. - I cannot tell you. I am visiting my parents this weekend. I usually weigh myself on Sundays, but I find myself around 200 miles away from my scale. I meant to weight in on Saturday instead, but I forgot. Whoops. I'll follow up on this next week I guess.

2) Decrease my mile time by 10 seconds. - I'm doing good in this department. My mile time usually ranged in the 13-13.5 seconds. Last week I did a 'magic mile'... Sun, 10 Jun 2012 20:52:51 EST Monthly Goal Blog - We Do Not Sow http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4909924 I really should do this more often, but I never actually write my goals down. Perhaps it will help...

Here is my June month goals:

1) Lose at least 1 lb. - My weight loss has really slowed down in the last year or so. My first 2 years of weight loss I lost about 100 lbs. Whereas in the last year I've lost only about 20. At least I'm still losing though! I know it's because I'm getting closer to my goal weight, and I simply have less to lose, so I'm not letting it discou... Sun, 3 Jun 2012 11:55:09 EST I need your reward ideas! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4880737 In February of 2009 I vowed to change my lifestyle and become healthier. I started out at 296 lbs. (I realize my ticker says 290, I started sparkpeople about a week or 2 after I started losing weight) I set myself the lofty goal of reaching 175 lbs. At the time it seemed so far away I never though I would get there. However, this week's weigh-in brought me to 180.0 lbs. A mere 5 lbs away from my first goal weight. It seems strange to be so close!

However, I really haven't done big... Mon, 14 May 2012 11:24:18 EST I'm a Warrior!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4871166 Warrior Dash: Completed!

I did it in 1 hr, which I'm OK with for my first time. The last 5k I did was 40 minutes, which gives me 20 minutes for doing 11 obstacles, that includes waiting in line for the obstacles as well as actually doing the obstacles. And I walked a lot in between the obstacles. Mainly because 1) it was basically all trail running, so the water after the 2nd obstacle was spread out for a while, very slippery land, and I didn't want to throw out my hip 2) the cour... Mon, 7 May 2012 20:13:58 EST Warrior Dash Tomorrow...SO NERVOUS! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4867990 So, I'm really starting to get nervous about the warrior dash I signed up to do.

Sure, I can look at the course beforehand, and sure, I can read all the reviews I want about other people's experiences. But for me, that doesn't really, truly prepare me for what's going to happen tomorrow.

I'm doing it with a friend, and we're planning on sticking together no matter what. Sat, 5 May 2012 18:08:07 EST It's the little things http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4863661 It's those shining moments that make whatever came before worth it. I'm not talking about something extremely profound either. This really is a little thing.

Today it was hot, muggy, and altogether gross outside. I had meant to run at 6 am this morning, but my cat decided to wake me up and 4 and not let me go to sleep, so I slept in an extra 45 minutes instead of running. This meant I had to go out running when I got home from work today, around 3:30.

OH DEAR GOD IT WA... Wed, 2 May 2012 20:14:43 EST Good or Bad? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4852236 So, I am well aware that I went over my calories today. But I didn't really eat UNHEALTHILY. If that's even a word.

I ate good things, but I just ate a bit more than I planned to.

Tomorrow I don't get to eat for a few hours after I wake up because I'm having a CT scan, and I get to drink some oral contrast. Wed, 25 Apr 2012 19:56:12 EST Beginning of a crazy week! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4850505 This week is the beginning of the end.

On Thursday I have 5 concerts. You read that right, 5 concerts all on one night. Luckily I team-teach at 3 of those schools so my team teachers are covering those.

Next week, we have the middle school orchestras coming out to the elementary schools to play with the 5th graders in an assembly.

Week after that there are two 5th/6th grade combined concerts for different middle school areas so the 5th graders can play with... I achieved my goal of running a 5K in under 40 minutes! My official time was 39:58. 2 seconds under, but that's an important 2 seconds! My overall pace was 12:54 min/mile and I am SO SO SO SO HAPPY! So, I'm glad they've found what is wrong!

Now I get to go get a CAT scan done on my abdominal area so the doctor can get a better look at it to figure out if it needs to be removed or what.

Had a nice 'long' walk today. 40 minutes. Sun, 15 Apr 2012 20:11:21 EST 1 step forward, 1 step back http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4835308 These stomach issues I've been having seem to come in waves now that I'm taking Nexium every day. I feel good in the morning and through the afternoon. But once around 5 o'clock hits, I don't want food anymore. It's very strange. Nexium is 24 hour, and it seems like as soon as that Nexium from the previous day wears off (I take it right after dinner generally around 6-6:30) the nausea is back and the desire to eat anything is completely gone.

I did manage to get in 1300 calories t... Sat, 14 Apr 2012 21:46:06 EST Homenum Revelio! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4833793 So this blog entry is supposed to be about...what I do to get rid of enemies/weaknesses? Or..? What I do well or something? IDK.

I'll try my best though.

Some of my greatest strategies I developed fairly late in the game actually. For instance:
1) I now eat ONLY at my dinner table. I live alone, so I could conceivably sit on the couch, and what does it matter? But sitting at the table allows me to concentrate only on what I'm eating instead of what I'm watching. ... Fri, 13 Apr 2012 17:37:01 EST Impedimenta! (And an update on the stomach situation) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4832415 A challenge for this week's challenge of harry potter is to write about things that always affect my diet.

Mine are Sundays. Every. Dang. Week. No, really.

I weigh in on Sundays, so if I have a good day I always treat myself to a chai latte from starbucks (iced during the summer months of course!). And I go grocery shopping on Saturdays or Sundays, and I generally pick myself up something special from Whole foods. A lot of the times it's a vegan chocolate chip cookie. ... Thu, 12 Apr 2012 19:57:16 EST Stomach Issues - Need some Advice Please? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4829316 Hi all! Some of this might be a little...uh...descriptive, it *does* deal with the digestive system. So read at your own risk.

All this business started last Friday. I went for an easy, short run in the morning. I thought the nausea might have been a reaction to a coffee drink I had that morning (it has milk in it which I very rarely drink), but I had the same drink a few days prior and I didn't have a reaction then. I went for another very, very quick run in the afternoon, again ... Tue, 10 Apr 2012 20:38:47 EST A lovely Sunday! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4804675 My Sunday started off with me watching a bit more of the movie "Newsies" which I haven't watched for YEARS, and I missed it dearly. I watched most of it last night, but I still have a bit left over to watch.

Then I went to weigh myself to see that I had lost a whopping *drumroll* 2.6 lbs! Yippee!

I then settled into a lovely breakfast. 2 eggs scrambled with a little shredded cheese, 1/4 of a sweet potato fried with some garlic powder and paprika, half a grapefruit, and... Sun, 25 Mar 2012 22:11:54 EST I was feeling good until now http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4798717 Todays stormcloud: I was feeling really good today, all the way up until about 7 pm, about 30 minutes ago. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden I'm really tired, I feel a headache coming on, and I have a weird throbbing pain in my right shin.

Todays Sunshine: I stayed within my calories, and worked out twice! Did a intervals run this morning and then I did about 30 minutes of cardio/aerobics on my wii fit. Some of those activites really get your heart rate up!
<B... Wed, 21 Mar 2012 20:39:38 EST Where've I been? LONDON! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4797475 I was so good at blogging towards the later end of last year, and then....*poof*. Haha.

Short answer? Work basically took over my life.

Long answer: January I had three concerts to put on, one each week. When February hit I put myself head first into planning for my London trip. And when March came along, it's when I went to London.

But now that I'm back from London, I'll probably be blogging a bit more actively, or at least trying to until probably mid-apr... Tue, 20 Mar 2012 21:22:30 EST Reflections and Resolutions http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4649525 Herein begins my obligatory Post-2011/Pre-2012 blog post.

I'll start off with my reflections over 2011 -
As far as I remember, my only resolution for 2011 was to continue my weight loss journey. Although I didn't fail, neither did I really succeed in that regard. To put in in perspective, in 2009 I lost around 50 lbs in 9 months. In 2010 I lost around 50 lbs in the whole year. This year, I lost about 10 lbs. So, it is a success, but just not as much of one as I wanted. I cha... Sun, 1 Jan 2012 20:46:21 EST It's a LIFESTYLE change, not a DIET. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4647284 I heard a commercial for I think it was weight loss by hypnosis on the radio the other day and it just made me...IRATE! 234

This commercial was going on about how "people go on diets and so many of them gain back the weight within a year" or some other arbitrary time frame.

Well, OF COURSE THEY DID.

In my opinion, the word 'diet' has the connotation of starving yourself, or changing things in your life to get to a certain specific goal. The most c... Sat, 31 Dec 2011 21:40:42 EST A very good day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4645617 I implemented my new eating technique, and I think it helps. It really helps me to separate 'eating time' from 'not eating time'. I know that when I leave the table, it is not time for eating, it's time to find something else to do.

I started off the day with half a waffle that I made yesterday (with my new waffle maker!), half a grapefruit, and a cup of coffee with a little sugar and soy milk. Grapefruit isn't pictured because I always eat grapefruit over the sink, because I'm me... Fri, 30 Dec 2011 22:13:26 EST Game changer? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4644104 So, I've decided to do something a little different from now on, and I think it will make a big difference!

Today, I decided to change how I eat, literally, HOW I eat.

Usually I sit in front of the TV, on the couch, just mindlessly munching away with what's on my plate. Or more likely, shoveling it in my mouth. I'm usually done eating within 5 minutes.

I'm always so surprised when all my food is gone!

So here's what I'm changing:
1) No mor... Thu, 29 Dec 2011 22:35:33 EST A quick update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4637554 God, I haven't blogged for a while. I kept meaning to, but then I just...do other things. *sigh*

Well, there's been nothing going on in my life. The guy who I went on a date on, and he was all "yeah liked you, I want you to know I'm interested" just asked yesterday if we could stay friends. *sigh* 24 He says it was because he fell for somebody else. IDK. I think my shyness is my downfall.

In my weight loss news I really haven't been doing that well. This who... And that means that the year is halfway over. It's REALLY hard to believe that I've made it half a year through teaching, and not died yet...haha. Just 5 more days, and it's frankly going to be a pretty easy week compared to my last few weeks, so I'm not too worried about it, except that the students are going to be WILD.

In other news I lost about .5 lb again this week. Sun, 11 Dec 2011 23:35:24 EST Yesterday and Today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4614111 So weigh in...this is interesting. I weighed in at about .5 lb less than the week before. OK. Better than nothing, I thought. Then, just for kicks I weighed myself this morning, to find that I lost ANOTHER WHOLE POUND OVERNIGHT. I've been tending to weigh myself on Sundays and mondays, and I always have a lower weight on mondays. I don't know why. And I never know what weight I should take either! Hmmm....

Now for the rest of the day. I had some wonderful grits, "bacon", and half a... So...what have I been doing? Watching it of course! And probably will tomorrow too, it's another all day marathon tomorrow as well. :)

I had some grits for breakfast. The kind that came in a tube from Whole Foods. But it was really good. I had some morning star bacon with it, which I know is made of egg whites, but I figure I need to get it out of my freezer so it's just not sitting there going "WHY A... Sat, 3 Dec 2011 21:43:54 EST *PHEW* http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4609962 I am SO SO SO glad it is Friday today. And mainly, just the friday of this particular week. Why?

Yesterday I had my very first concert of my teaching career. And I was nervous as hell about it. But I am SO proud of my kids. Really. I think they did a marvelous job.

Didn't end up going for a run yesterday because of it. I should have gone after work and before the concert, but instead I decided to have a relaxing few hours before a very stressful experience.
Thoug... Fri, 2 Dec 2011 22:29:39 EST Goodbye November, Hello December! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4606734 This post will be littered with pictures. 41 The last three nights I've made yummy recipes for myself for dinner, but I forgot to post last night. Well...I was frantically typing to finish my novel last night. I am officially a nano winner this year! 224

Alright, so last night I went for about a 2 mile run. It was one of the best runs I've been on for a while. I felt really strong, fast, and my hip didn't hurt the entire time either. I've officially switched... Wed, 30 Nov 2011 21:28:12 EST Weigh-in and some pictures http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4603577 Well, I gained 2 lbs this last weigh in. I'm surprised, because I thought, although I didn't do great, I didn't think that it was worth 2 lbs of gainage. 39 It put me right back to where I was the week before, which makes me think that last week's weigh-in was a fluke of some kind. I just don't know what to think.

During thanksgiving break I was presented with a lot of opportunities to break my vegan diet, and very nearly did (for cheddar popcorn, so yummy!). And I even... Mon, 28 Nov 2011 22:27:48 EST Operation Vegan Thanksgiving Success! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4598293 Well, I am VERY proud with how a lot of the things for Thanksgiving turned out today. My parents are vegetarians while I am vegan, so we bought a 'Quorn' turk'y roast and it was REALLY good. Then, we made a completely vegan pumpkin pie (with gluten-free pie crust), vegan green bean casserole, vegan gravy, we had a nice green salad with it, and my dad got some vegan wheat rolls. Really yummy stuff. I can't wait for leftovers tomorrow!!

Also, I think I did fairly well. I'm not going... Thu, 24 Nov 2011 20:49:47 EST Yippee! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4592912 To start off the day of awesome, I started reading Hunger Games. I always hang out in bed for a little while on Sunday mornings, just to relax. :)

Then I had my weigh-in which got me the wonderful result of having lost 1.8 lbs! If ONLY I had been able to pull off that extra .2. Oh well!
I'm really happy that I had 1.8 off anyway for mainly 2 reasons:
1) Last night's dinner was RICH. (The salmon, focaccia and half a bottle of wine)
2) I received my monthly visitor... Sun, 20 Nov 2011 19:54:39 EST A wonderful authentic Italian meal tonight! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4591752 I added fish back in to my diet tonight, officially. I went to a Trader Joe's in the area and got me some nice wild caught hockeye salmon. I slathered on some really high quality olive oil and also topped it with some olive tapenade I got from Whole foods earlier in the week. I added in some raisins too just for fun :) For my bread at dinner I made something I've wanted to make for a while, some rosemary grape focaccia. I should have read farther ahead in the recipe though, because I didn't r... Sat, 19 Nov 2011 21:05:22 EST Dinner, WITH PICTURES! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4590514 So with my previous problems with my hip, this morning instead of going on a 2.5 mile run, instead I went into my apartment's workout room and hopped on the elliptical. It is definitely better for my hip. So it looks like I will be doing that for quite a while. I will have to find some ways to make it exciting. They have a TV in there, so as long as I'm in there alone I can watch whatever I want to watch (This morning it was Rome: The rise and fall of an empire). I'll do a two runs next week.... Fri, 18 Nov 2011 19:28:00 EST Nervous for tomorrow http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4589271 Tomorrow I will try running again. I am crossing my fingers that my hip will not hurt too much. I found out on Wednesday that my hip hurts less during the run, and more during the day after I ran. So all day I was kind of limping around and walking funny.

After next Thursday, I plan to commit myself to the elliptical machine at my apartment complex instead of running. It is less impact on my hip, so I hope it will help.

I had some REALLY good Bulgar Pilaf with peas and... Thu, 17 Nov 2011 21:25:27 EST Now what do I do? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4587619 So, even though my hip hurt a lot all Monday and all yesterday, I still went for a 2.5 mile run today. It felt really good to run, except for when my hip was saying "no no no" every time I took a step on my right leg. But I kept on through it, and now my hip has been screaming at me all day. I finally just took some naproxen to cool it down a little bit.

Again, I REALLY want to push through and keep running until next thursdays 5k where I only have to run a little over a mile. I w... Wed, 16 Nov 2011 19:37:53 EST STUPID HIP! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4583687 I've had some issues with bursitis in my hip for a while now. Last week I upped my running mileage and although my hip hurt, it still felt...mostly ok for most of my run, but by around mile 2ish, i could really feel it, but I could still keep going.

So all of yesterday, I was walking around, and my hip was hurting, with just me walking around the apartment.

Today I get up, I have a quick meeting to go to at 8:30 but I decided that I would run when I got back. But all m... Mon, 14 Nov 2011 11:58:40 EST A little confused... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4581979 So, I was expecting WONDERS from my weigh-in this morning. I did really well eating wise the entire week, I drank lots of water, I upped my mileage in my running (approx 2.5 miles a day) and I increased my strength training to 6 days a week.

Only to maintain my exact weight from last week.

I'm HOPING that's because I have started gaining muscles because of the increase in strength training. I only just started strength training again after 3 months off (due to my surge... Sun, 13 Nov 2011 10:08:27 EST Todays reflections http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4560406 I woke up, planning to get up right away, do my 5k and then get to a church service. I have a list of about 5-6 churches I plan to try over the next few weeks to find one I can go to regularly, but Sunday mornings I've ended up sitting in bed for an hour reading A Song of Ice and Fire series instead. And this morning I really wanted to do my run.

Well, I ended up laying in bed for about an hour after I woke up, going in and out of light sleep until I finally decided to get up and ... Sun, 30 Oct 2011 20:42:53 EST My "vice" on my diet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4557695 An assignment from challenge of Harry Potter this week: What do I lie to myself about during my diet.

Candy. Candy, candy, candy.

I tell myself "one piece of candy, I don't even need to track it because it's barely anything" but I say that...3, 4 more times during the day and it BECOMES something, generally a BIG something that adds up and all of a sudden I'm over on my calories.

And that's the danger during this time of the year, because I like to have fes...
