ERPARA's SparkPeople Blog ERPARA's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Big Kahuna Triathlon - 70.3 Race Recap Well I finally got around to posting my race recap - only a month and a half later! :)
I had an awesome race, the weather was perfect, and the views were amazing! So glad that we went for this race!

ahuna-triathlon-2013-703-race-recap.html

After the race, I did a 10-mile swim relay with 4 other ladies, and now I've switched gears to running a lot more - my goal is to run 1000 miles in 2013 - and right now I'm at 77... Wed, 23 Oct 2013 12:57:25 EST Update and new goals Well it has been a long couple months... Paul had an infection in his ankle, which spread into his ankle joint. Some stats: 12-day hospital stay, 2 surgeries, 4 weeks of morphine, 8 weeks of antibiotics, 6 weeks of intravenous antibiotics (4 of those administered at home, by me). I can't believe that all just happened - Paul's still not healed all the way. He still has very restricted range of motion in his right ankle, is working through that with PT and pushing the joint - the range of moti... Tue, 11 Jun 2013 13:03:33 EST Well that was short-lived As soon as we both committed back to tracking and getting some lingering weight off, Paul got a very bad infection in his ankle and has been in the hospital for 7 days. Tracking don't seem so important now... but the stress of it all has brought my weight down. So I guess I'm done. Wed, 17 Apr 2013 13:32:37 EST Back to track Well, I have 5 pounds that are being more stubborn than usual, so it's back to tracking food to kick my butt into gear! I'll be around for a bit.

:) Wed, 10 Apr 2013 15:49:13 EST February Food Challenge - Complete! And, a contest

3/yu30-challenge-video-recap.html

Well, we finished the 30day YumUniverse challenge - plant-based and gluten-free for a month! It went pretty well, and wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. It's funny, now that we're done, it's nice to get back to just plant-based, and it makes plant-based seem that much easier lol

I'm in the running to win a Vitamix - which would be awesome! Please take a minute to visit <link... Mon, 11 Mar 2013 13:31:00 EST February Food Challenge - Week 1 We made it through week 1 - my hubby has lost 6 pounds! I have not lost any poundage, but I'm not really trying to lose.

ary-food-challenge-week-1.html
Fri, 8 Feb 2013 19:25:54 EST San Diego Trail Marathon race recap Just to prove I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, here is my race recap from my recent marathon:

2/san-diego-trail-marathon-race-recap.
html

And here is the challenge we're taking on in February:

2/february-is-our-food-challenge-month
.html

Hope everyone's having a great 2013! Once my hubby gets all healed up then we'll do a 50K together :)

guna-trail-marathon-recap.html
Sun, 25 Nov 2012 20:04:47 EST Orangeman 70.3 Triathlon - race recap Wow I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted! Ya - hopefully it goes away soon, but from everything I've been reading online, I have a long haul to go - I mean, it's already been 6 weeks?!

6/yep-ive-got-virus-on-my-foot.html
Sat, 30 Jun 2012 19:27:08 EST A little bit of whine? I find it ironic that I am now hurt again - but neither one of my latest injuries have anything to do with a run, swim, or bike... and both managed to slow my training down to a crawl...
Yep, my foot is hurt and I'm limping around - ever have an injury that you aren't sure you want to just blab about to the entire world?
