This morning I packed my lunch and my fruit bowl and decided that today would be one of the days I let myself have a protein bar for breakfast (I usually have hot cereal or a waffle with peanut butter, the protein bar is a "treat".) No weight gain for me this holiday! I drove to my parents' house in Michigan on Wednesday and got there in time for dinner with them and my brother's family. Mom made spaghetti with good sauce - my brother puts pureed cauliflower in it so my nephew gets his veggies. Sounds a bit odd but tasted pretty good. My boyfriend waited for me to get home to take a walk, so we went out kind of together. He left while I ate lunch and was going to take some pictures at the pond, where I was going to meet him. I left home and walked the longer way, and he had come back home for a warmer jacket. He called to let me know where he was, and when I said I had walked the long way he thought I had walked the VERY long way. Anyway our walk "together" ended up being long walks ... Got to spend the first week with a couple of co-workers touring fields, packing facilities, etc. It was pretty tiring, getting up early, getting in late, and having to move to a different hotel every night. My boss gave me a project which is pretty exciting, it is something I have never done before and I have to be in contact with several people I have never dealt with before. I used to have to do this kind of stuff a lot but it has been so long that I am a little uncomfortable with it. I had one tooth that had been feeling a little odd for the past few days so they x-rayed that. Turns out that the crown my dentist put on a couple months ago was not put on correctly and debris was getting stuck underneath, wreaking all kinds of havoc on my gums.
