Not roller blading. Just skating. Life got busy and I stopped going. Yes, I went every now and then when my children had skate parties to attend or just something to do on a cold winter day.

Fast forward - my kids are now 19 & 15. My 15 year old plays on a Jr. Roller Derby team for a few months now. She's good too. Watching her play every week made me envious that she could skate all the time. Why couldn't I? Wed, 26 Apr 2017 07:18:21 EST Too far gone? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6341706 It has been quite some time since I've been here on SparkPeople. I'm embarrassed as to how far I've let myself go. Taking care of my family (kids & husband), my sister who is pregnant and extremely sick as well as her 3 year old. My father who has alzheimers and my Mom who is caring for him as well. I've let myself go. Why couldn't I be one of those people who doesn't eat when stressed. I'd be a size 2 by now. But no, I turn to food. This ends now!

I'm coming up on 50 thi... We thought we'd do it as an experiment for 6 months. Hubby has elevated liver enzymes and told his doctor he would like to see if a gf diet would help with those levels before going on medication. He agreed that it would be worth it. I chose to do it for general health reasons and to lose weight.

Here we are about 8 weeks later.
