When your power goes out, all you have to turn to are foods that don't require refridgeration, which, trust me, doesn't leave you healthy options at all. But my fiance and I did our best. We stocked up on bananas, peanut butter, apples, and some good, healthy cereals, ate beans for dinner a couple of nights, but in our no-electricity boredom without being able to really go outside, we mindless... Little excuses we all have made at one time or another to keep ourselves from succeeding. Why? I don't know. My only guess is that it's some kind of self-preservation tactic.
