I was at my parent's this weekend, so systematically adding carbs in wasn't going to work - all meals revolved around carbs! Today, I'm going to try, though. I made an egg sandwich instead of an omelet this morning and am adding a granola bar to my lunch (I didn't really plan a carb for lunch and this is all I had on hand). So, let's see what kind of will power I need this evening!!! Mon, 16 Jun 2014 12:16:41 EST Carb Week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5699057

Does anyone else have this problem during Carb Week? Since I plan out my meals pretty well, I usually eat really well for breakfast, lunch, and mostly, even for dinner. But, during Carb Week, after dinner, all I want to do is eat carbs!!! I have no willpower, so if my body wants carbs, it gets carbs. I'm wondering if during carb week, if I systematically include more carbs during the regular day - do you think ... The above picture describes it perfectly for me! I was running so fast (that's a relative term!). I was on track to finish with at least 10:15 minute mile average. I was very excited about that. I'm obviously in way better shape than I was last October when I ran the Nationwide Childrens Half Marathon. At mile 10, my knee got angry with me and I had to walk a bit... Mon, 5 May 2014 08:18:36 EST Family Trait? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5673540 I was going through the "motivational quotes" page to send something to my fitness team at work and passed by this one about 5-6 times. I think it was telling me that I need to make a blog entry about it! This "quote" pretty much sums up me, my mom and my sisters!!!

Wed, 16 Apr 2014 11:47:42 EST Holy Perfect E-card Batman!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5558365 Fri, 6 Dec 2013 12:05:46 EST The Nerve! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5555722 Last night I received an email from the owner of my kids school. The email actually didn't come through until 1am, but the responses from other parents came through earlier, so i was able to read it. The owner has decided that January 1, she will be raising the rates of Kindergarten $75/week. Is she kidding that she thinks she can just send us an email and we will all say "Ok!" I met this woman for the first time about 2 weeks ago and wasn't impressed at all. I'm even less impressed now ... Tue, 3 Dec 2013 07:58:21 EST Toothpaste http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5555109 AS we all know, my face is getting back at me for years of not washing it at night. I've been pretty good about washing my face at night and in the morning lately and, though it hasn't gotten a whole lot better, it really hasn't gotten worse.

Yesterday morning, I went to 8:00 mass because I had to be on the road early to pick up my daughter from Indianapolis. I cheated on the washing and just ran some toner over my face. I still used my spot corrector and moisturizer, but no a... He died in a car accident Tuesday morning. I wasn't particularly close to him, so I thought I would probably be okay. I forgot how much I like and enjoy my cousins though, and was a mess of tears before I even got to the family. The casket was closed, which makes me sad for him and the family. So much sadness. I know they will all eventually be fine, but I'm so sad for all of them now. So, after 20 minutes in the funeral home, I got ba... Wed, 13 Nov 2013 07:59:04 EST New Running Shoes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5488623 I bought new running shoes near the middle of July. I put used inserts in them, but they were fairly new. My shoes have been feeling like they need replaced and I have a hard time buying new shoes after only 2 months! I used the distance tracker to determine that I've run 150 miles since buying them! Since the average shoe is supposed to last around 100 miles and a bit farther with inserts, I guess I shouldn't feel too bad buying new ones! It's time to check in!

About a week after I started the no-poo method, I got my hair highlighted. That basically made me have to start my observations all over again! I have done a coconut oil mask and last week I did a protein mask with egg, honey, and coconut oil. After the protein mask, my hair felt kind of nasty. Just really stringy. By the end of the next day, though, it felt reall... I've already done the vinegar rinse a couple times and was impressed, but I didn't have any bottles to do a complete changeover. At Kroger today, I remembered to get two condiment bottles, so now I'm ready to begin! I'm using the baking soda/water mix as my shampoo and apple cider vinegar/water mix for my conditioner rinse. I color my hair, so I'm a little concerned that the baking soda is going to dry it out (it's ... Sat, 6 Jul 2013 12:54:34 EST
