Mon, 25 Mar 2013 19:27:34 EST 3 Mile Walk Today and Lots of EFT/Tapping My last blog entry says it was Sunday, but that was because I started writing it at 12:04 AM.:) It was actually my update for Saturday.

Today, Day 5, was awesome! I felt so great that I did a 3 Mile Power Walk with Leslie Sansone and my T-Tapp workout. I also did my Ho Downs twice today.

I realized that I sure do need to build up to doing Ho Downs 3 times a day. Right now, I struggle to get through them twice a day. T-Tapp is so efficient that Ho Downs take less tha... Sun, 10 Mar 2013 22:41:00 EST Pushed Through the Pain and Blessed Well, technically it's Sunday, because it is just after midnight, but this is actually Day 4 update.

I had a poor nights sleep and woke feeling like I had a bed cold. The thing is I knew it was just part of the healing process and not a cold at all. I had another massage yesterday and I knew my body was just dealing with the toxins that had been released.

I did not want to get up and do anything, let alone exercise, but I knew it would only help to do just that. I did... Sun, 10 Mar 2013 01:12:17 EST Day 3 of Spark Streaking Day 3-I did my 15 minute T-Tapp workout and 1 mile speed walk early this morning.

I had my house cleaned and while that was happening I had my hair done and had another amazing massage. I am usually really tired after these really powerful massages, but there was no opportunity to rest with picking up my son and going to his voice recital followed immediately by 3 of my granddaughters ballet recital. They are were wonderful. What a wonderful day.

I was so tired that... Fri, 8 Mar 2013 23:53:50 EST Late night workout and feeling energetic I will call this Day 2, since I got back on track with my new workout schedule. The big change is T-Tapp. I love it, I feel stronger after only 1 day. I also did a 2 Mile Power Walk with weights. I really want to track my fitness so I can monitor my progress in pounds and inches down.

I let the morning get away from me without doing my workout. I prefer to do it in the early morning. I didn't wake up early today, so I must have needed the rest more.

I did have my... Thu, 7 Mar 2013 22:27:46 EST Back on My Feet Surprisingly a few days laps again. My excuse is that my knee put me out of commission for the past few days. I went to my message therapist and the work she did activated the knee even more for a few days. I knew as she worked down my leg that it was creating a stir in the knee as part of the detoxing. I understand very well how this works, because in my EFT/Tapping it is similar. Things "appear" to get worse, when they really aren't, it is just the reorganizing before things settle dow... Wed, 6 Mar 2013 21:42:11 EST God Takes Care of Me I seem to always be seeking new and better ways to do things and once again there is another change. This post is proof that God is always looking out for me.

My oldest daughter introduced me to T-Tapp, named after Theresa Tapp. This is an amazing therapeutic work out that strengthens and tones in all new ways. You get strong all the way through the layers of muscle, similar to how yoga works, except it is done in a short time and is quite rigorous. The style takes awhile to le... Wed, 27 Feb 2013 20:11:28 EST Everything Happens For a Reason I am in a big learning curve with my business right now, and so I am allowing excuses to run amuck. It is simply the tail wagging the dog, instead of the other way around. There is no doubt that a lot of what I am learning by focusing on the inner game, is creating some confusion as the mind is reorganizing to process the new information. The point is that I am still in control of what happens to me and that IS what healing is all about. I know that with expectation management that you wan... Fri, 22 Feb 2013 13:47:31 EST Rise and Shine! In order to get in my 3 long workouts this week I got up and exercised at 5:30AM. I used to always work out this early in the morning. There has been many changes in my life and business and so I have adjusted accordingly. It felt great to do this early morning workout again. I did a 3 mile workout with Leslie Sansone.

I am sticking to the Isagenix program of eating 2 shakes a day and one healthy meal and 2-4 snacks. i much prefer eating 6 small meals a day anyway. I always f... Fri, 15 Feb 2013 20:30:59 EST Taking time for myself and sparking again It felt soooo good to get out and go to the gym today. I haven't been in a year. You are going to laugh when you find out that this wonderful fitness studio for women was first owned by me. Yep, I have a life time membership agreement with the new owner. Today was the first time I took advantage of this opportunity. Oh, there are lots of reasons, most of which are only excuses, but I put all that aside and started back today.

I am usually pretty motivated to work out by myse... Wed, 13 Feb 2013 21:17:54 EST Worthiness I have been focusing on inner healing work of late. I use EFT/Tapping to clear emotional blocks. All of this work ties directly in to healing my mindset.

Just like when you go to clean a messy closet or garage, you have to first make a bigger mess before things fall in to place and you find peace, I have been in that reorganizing state for the past few weeks. I haven't had the energy or felt like I had the time to focus on anything accept this and my business. I have been and... Fri, 8 Feb 2013 14:36:30 EST Anger Cleansing. This week has turned out to be totally focused on doing training and healing work. I have been doing anger cleansing with my coach/teacher. I use EFT/Tapping for clearing obstacles and fears from the cellular memory.

This is highly beneficial to my goal here at SP, to change the way I think about myself.

One of the biggest breakthroughs ever came when I came to the realization that I have a very active inner bully. I never rebelled against my parents and always obey... Thu, 31 Jan 2013 16:29:01 EST From darkness to light! The last couple of days were dark days as I got in touch with a lot of anger and sadness. Yesterday was particularly challenging.

I have learned to not judge my feelings nor to identify with them in a personal way. I also have learned value of allowing the feelings to be there because by honoring them I can release them. I used to resist all these painful feelings, especially anger because It was "bad" or "sinful". Now that I know they don't mean anything except the meaning I... Sat, 26 Jan 2013 00:13:42 EST More baggage to clear is a good sign Here I am back to posting at the end of the day when I am weary, but it was a full day. I am just going to keep it short and hit the highlights.

Lately the sugar cravings have come back. I also tended to think about food a lot more. These feelings had gone from being a prevalent thing to non-existant for several weeks until I made a video on clearing emotional eating. This is definitely a sign of getting deeper in to the core of the emotional issues. I am excited to pursue th... Tue, 22 Jan 2013 23:07:08 EST Update since my Spiritual Retreat I had an amazing trip to Truckee, CA, which is 15 minutes from Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe. I am big fan of winter and snow and it was absolutely picturesque and like a winter wonderland.

I chose not to learn to ski, which turned out good because it gave us more time for doing the coaching/mentoring. We did a few hours each day of EFT/Tapping sessions. My mentor is very intuitive and has lots of practice doing what she is best at, helping us find emotional freedom and tuning in to... Mon, 21 Jan 2013 15:17:45 EST Free days are a good thing Walked again. I walked much faster because the wind was blowing and made me very cold. I came home and did a 5 Mile Advanced Walk.

I ate some onion rings at Red Robin, so I definitely splurged. I think a free day now and then is fine. It boosts the metabolism. Really!! I only ate half my Garden Burger and Fries. It sure tasted good. It was a nice meal with my son and his friend who is spending the weekend.

I ran errands getting ready for my Spiritual Retreat nex... Sat, 5 Jan 2013 10:21:25 EST Staying on track Day 34 cont.~

The day finished out great. Stayed on track with food as well as exercise. I did my 10,000 steps today again.

I also managed to get in a couple hours of Heart Chakra clearing videos, too. A lot of stuff was stirred up. I just stayed with it and didn't resist. I knew it would pass.

Not much to say since, I wrote quite a bit about my morning yesterday.

Fri, 4 Jan 2013 22:59:30 EST Exhausted but present Day 33~

Yesterday, I continued focusing on Heart Chakra Clearing and I did 10 videos before my coaching session. It was really productive in uncovering some patterns that I wasn't aware were blocking my ability to manifest good things in my life. The more specific you can get in healing work the better the clearing. I have had a lot of traumas in my life around love and relationships. I realize most people have.

I was so exhausted after words that didn't do anything ... Thu, 3 Jan 2013 11:44:11 EST Being more present and grounded Day 32~

It's working much better for me to record in the A.M. about yesterday.

I am very grateful for the time I had to spend a quiet day at home. I managed to get in my 10,000 steps and eat healthy and stay in my calorie range.

I did 19 videos from my mentor to help heal. I finished the Root and Sacral and Personal Power Chakra healing and started the Heart Chakra healing. I hit on some core issues because I got in touch with some intense emotions. Most... Wed, 2 Jan 2013 11:35:43 EST Happy New Years Day! Day 31 continued~

Yesterday, was really great in terms of inner healing work, clearing the Chakras. I did 17 training videos, which was 5 1/2 hours broke up through out the day. I liken it to cleaning out a really messy closet. You have to make a bigger mess before the final product of clean and organized is manifested. The end result brings peace of mind, but first there is chaos and disorganization that must be confronted head on.

It's all part of the process of ... Tue, 1 Jan 2013 12:20:31 EST WEIGHT DOWN & FOCUSING ON CLEARING BAGGAGE FROM MY MIND Day 30~

I have been blogging at the end of the day, when I am really drained. I am more of a morning person for sure, so I decided to journel in the AM about the day before and see how that goes.

Yesterday I finished my last day of the super juice detox 9 day cleanse. I ended up having a salad when I ate out unexpectedly with my son. A salad is acceptable if you get really hungry on the cleanse anyway. I splurged on a few tortilla chips and queso, plus I had the dress... Mon, 31 Dec 2012 07:48:30 EST Two new grandchildren added this year. Nine blessings in all! Days 21-29~

Wow, what a busy time with Christmas gatherings, celebrating birthdays and keeping up with business. It has been a joyous time. I have two new grandchildren born this year, the last one on December 8th. I now have 9 grandchildren total. What a blessed year it has been.

A brief overview; I have done very well with not overeating. I did indulge in many tasty things over the course of the holidays, so far, and I enjoyed it all. I took small portions. <B... Sat, 29 Dec 2012 21:37:30 EST Eating consciously and making Christmas memories Day 20~

It was a special day of spending time with family. There was nothing but rich food so I took tiny portions and ate slowly. I allowed myself to enjoy some of the rich foods without the guilt.

It's amazing how many calories consumed even though I ate consciously and did not over eat. I used to gorge myself at the holidays and then be miserable. It really pays to think about what you are doing.

I allowed myself a day off from exercise unless I cam... Mon, 24 Dec 2012 22:59:27 EST Day 2 Cleanse and dealing with grief Day 19~

Day 2 of cleansing. I did a 3 mile walk at home dvd today and i did need to modify to get through.

I got my hair curled for the Holiday's by my fabulous daughter the cosmetologist. I ran errands after picking up my son. We had fun together after he had spent the weekend out of town with his friend. I baked Swedish Cinnamon Twists for our Christmas Brunch tomorrow. My children and grandchildren will be meeting for Christmas at my youngest daughters home. Sh... Mon, 24 Dec 2012 01:10:48 EST Catching up! Family time! Detoxing! Day 16~

Was a day to accomplish Christmas cards and wrapping presents, plus I went and did dishes, laundry and sweeping for my daughter who just had a baby. It was a very full day. Storm Draco didn't keep me down. All these activities involved standing or sitting mostly, so even though I didn't even meet my new step goals, I am sure I will make it up over time.

Day 17~

I brought one of my granddaughters home with me for the night. We had a delightful tim... Sat, 22 Dec 2012 19:54:37 EST Jog a Dog treadmill is wonderful! Baron and Lady walking on their treadmill. This company makes different sizes depending on your breed. This one is for toy breeds. I am so grateful for a way to exercise my puppies everyday, no matter what the weather or circumstances. When I adopted my puppies, I committed to helping them become balanced and healthy. It requires a lot of myself and is a win/win for all. Sat, 22 Dec 2012 16:31:39 EST Time to step back and revise my fitness goals Day 15~

Now that I have been posting here at SP it became apparent to me that I needed to revise my goals. Which I did by giving myself a break. Now that I have the Fitbit tracker, it isn't necessary to accomplish so many miles a day, it's more important that I track the steps. Even then, my step goal was set too high. Of course, then there are those days where I change clothes and forget to transfer the tracker to new garments. Oh well! An interesting side note is that even ... Thu, 20 Dec 2012 00:41:16 EST Power is in the Present Day 13~

I am playing a little catch up because I fell asleep after supper in my chair and woke up right at midnight. That's okay, though. I did get my video and lights set up for my business. I was pretty exhausted after practicing and learning the process of doing a video.

I did my 5 mile Advanced walk and stayed on track with my food. It was a big learning day for me in the personal growth area. I am excited about every day and the opportunities I have to expand... Tue, 18 Dec 2012 23:50:17 EST Tomorrow is a new day! Day 13~

I had a melt down this morning, so emotions were running high today.

No workout and I forgot to wear my tracker when I went out today. :-(

I did okay on the food part, but I did over eat on popcorn during the movie.

Back on track tomorrow. I have lots to be grateful for. Mon, 17 Dec 2012 00:26:38 EST Exercise is simply moving your body! Day 12~

It was great to get back to my 5 Miles of Advanced Walking again today. 10,000 plus steps total! Although, I must say that I was reeeeaaaallllllyyyyy sore from scrubbing floors at my daughters house. She has hard surfaced floors throughout the entire house. I did it all on my hands and knees, I AM NOT COMPLAINING, because, I get a lot of pleasure out of cleaning. With 7 people in the household, the floors were ready for a good scrubbing. My daughters baby is a week o... Sat, 15 Dec 2012 22:48:34 EST Creating a new reality for myself DAy 11~

Wow, am I sore and tired. I used many muscles scrubbing floors yesterday, that I obviously don't use, at least to that extent, in my daily work outs. I woke up with a headache today and really struggled to get going.

Even though I spent another day taking care of my daughter and granddaughter, They are both doing great!! I didn't get as many steps in today (5 thousand something or other). I left the bulk of the laundry to do today, so I spent a lot of time ... Fri, 14 Dec 2012 22:18:46 EST Grandma day! Day 10~

Today was one of those blessed days that don't come along often, but when they do, you really cherish them. I spent the day taking care of my daughter who just had a baby. She must take extra special care not to overdue because she hemorrhaged after the birth. This sweet baby girl, who I spoke of and featured in an earlier blog is my oldest daughters 5th child. It was full day of cleaning. She has had help from her husband and friends with food and laundry and dishes ... Thu, 13 Dec 2012 23:27:29 EST LIfe begins at the end of your comfort zone Day 8~

Yesterday, I did walk 3 miles with Walk Away the Pounds. I was still feeling like my body needed a break, but I am glad I did 3 easy miles.

You, know how after a hurricane hits, there is so much chaos that what seemed important before has lost it's significance? You are left wondering why you are alive and your neighbor is gone. Once the chaos has been cleared you never feel the same again. The real survivors have a new lease on life because they allowed the ... Wed, 12 Dec 2012 20:04:44 EST Day of Rest & VICTORY over food. Day 7~

Today my body was needing a rest from working out. I am learning to listen to my body in this transformation process of changing a new positive mindset. I have been going really hard and consistent at my 5 MIles a day and it was time to take a break from it.

One big accomplishment today is that I was eating my leftover fajita veggies and I made the third fajita and realized that I was full and set it down with out a second thought. Words can't express how firm ... Tue, 11 Dec 2012 00:09:42 EST Grandma stays fit and gets to be grandma again!! Day 5~

Yesterday, I met my 10,000/day step goal, between my at home walking workout and taking one of my granddaughters to Legoland in KCMO, to celebrate her birthday, which was on the 3rd. I am pleased to report that I was able to overt the desire to over eat or eat too fast. I did go over my calorie intake by eating ice cream with my granddaughter. I logged it and I don't feel guilty! I was so tired when I went to bed that I didn't write my blog entry here, but I chose not to... Mon, 10 Dec 2012 00:00:42 EST Grandma is feeling negative, but staying on track Day 4~ 101

Wow, a part of me is really wanting to sabotage my success in reaching my goal. Can anyone relate? It doesn't matter if it's 8 pounds of 80 pounds, there are times when the ego just wants to say, "Hell NO, you can't and won't be successful and realize your full potential."

Before I joined SP, I had released 8 pounds. Then I got stuck at that place. Well, as I said in my first blog, I really didn't see it as stuck so much, because this time, ... Fri, 7 Dec 2012 20:55:18 EST Feeling better but not perfect Day 4~

Today, even though I feel I am still fighting something off, I made my 5 mile goal, plus I cleaned the house, so I got 17631 steps in on my Fitbit tracker today, which is pretty amazing. I didn't push myself real hard with the housework, but I got everything done except some tidying in the garage, which I can do tomorrow.

A very strange turn of events is that I am struggling to get enough calories in the last couple of days. I am burning a lot of calories and ye... Thu, 6 Dec 2012 20:05:02 EST Staying on track through thick and thin Day 3~

Yesterday's blog post told how I pushed past the pain to find blessings.

Today was much better in regards to strength, although it still required me to dig deep to get through my 5 Mile Super Walk today.

As part of my journey to change my previous negative mindset about myself to a new positive one, I sensed that this feeling of coming down with something was nothing more than a self-sabotage mechanism. I have seen these patterns enough in myself to... Wed, 5 Dec 2012 21:56:52 EST Sick or not sick, that is the question? Day 2~Proved to be a challenging day for sure. My energy was in the toilet from the time I woke. This is highly unusual because I am a morning person. By noon, I tuned in to my body and how I was feeling and realized that my body was fighting the sickness my son had. He had been sick for over a week and has bronchitis.

I have never been one to believe that I will "catch" anything from others. I know that conventional wisdom says otherwise, but I had many times not caught wha... Wed, 5 Dec 2012 00:18:49 EST My journey through creating a new mindset about myself Day 1~

I am excited to begin sharing my journey about creating a new mindset.

Everything begins with a thought.

I have struggled for many years with fluctuating my weight up and down. The weight gain would be between 5-10 pounds, before I would do something about it. A few times it was up to 23 pounds over.

Even though my threshold may be lower than some, it doesn't change the fact that it still a vicious cycle. Now that I understand better tha...
