I'm not gaining weight, yet NOT LOSING EITHER. However, it is time to commit! yea....commit!!! XXXXXXX

The Motivation? I've been house hunting. Yes, I'd like to be at home, BUT I can't do that unless I sell my house in northeastern Arizona. So, when school is out, I will head back to the house to stage and prep for a sale. So, that also means I will be there for 8 weeks. That's a bit scary since I've gained 40 lbs since I was there five years ago. I can... I've got some new strategies in tow thanks to my marvelous SPARKS friends. Your feedback about plateauing has given me a new found inspiration for beating it! I've purchased a spiritual book that is supposed to help me balance my emotions so that I don't feed it with poor choices. I mean,....there is something going on with my body that is causing this plateau like effect. Could it be that I am not sleeping well? Could it be that I've been stressed out? Now, I've been getting in my walks because they help me relieve my stress.

So, maybe I should revisit salt co... Wed, 30 Jan 2013 21:03:39 EST Ugh! Weight up? I got on the scale this morning since it's halfway toward the end of my next weigh-in. I'm working out and even pushed myself yesterday, so I got on the scale and I am up 2 lbs. What? What is up with that? Incomprehensible. Ugh!

This could be muscle weight developing so I could be retaining more water in the process. I sure hope so because I'm feeling great and I am eating extremely well. I'm avoiding a full dinner while increasing the use of weights. Okay, I won't fret much ... I began the week successful until Friday when it was my daughter's 27th birthday. I saw her friends from high school along with some school teachers. It was fantastic and fun. However, I didn't find myself having control of the situation and overindulged. Although I had fish tacos and only ate one full taco and the fillings of one of the other tacos along with the black beans, I enjoyed a couple of drinks. I've completed the 2WTBTA that I'm going to repeat it for another 14 days. I loved the strength training, loved the meals, and found this process enjoyable and finally seeing progress. I feel the muscle definition and my waist is reducing. I know I have to add more lower ab strengthening because I simply am NOT loving the pooch. I'm reducing in various areas but that pooch simply seems to be more visible. At any rate, take a ... Thank goodness it's over! What's even better is that our director gave each teacher a loaf of zucchini bread. Although tasty and yummy I'm sure, I decided to take it home to my son. He's twenty and can move calories like no one's business. I figured the calories would look better on him than on me so I decided to pass it on and avoid any temptation since, as you know, I was already a naughty girl when I splurged on the Dr. Pepper. 104 <BR... I just couldn't help myself by stopping by McDonald's for a large one dollar Dr Pepper. I knew I'd regret it after I drank it, and sure as the sun shines in the morning, I did have regrets at noon. By the end of the day, I didn't rationalize and just accepted the drink, the calories, and decide that I really should seek more protein for the rest of the day. I would also get in my workouts. These slips will happen and....ya just ... It was really difficult takin a break even though I did keep busy as recommended by Chris Freytag. I really wanted to get a workout or run in. I was true to letting the muscles rest as I felt my abs get more painful as the day went on. I really did an amazing ab workout that I was surprised that I woke up and didn't really feel any aches. Needless to say, as the day lingered on, I began feeling the abs more and more. It was real and it IS great. Why... Mon, 11 Jun 2012 02:06:08 EST Day 7: with Chris Freytag http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4918811 Here it is; day 7. Since weigh in is tomorrow, I'm going to take advantage of this day by putting in extra strength and cardio exercises. Eating is well, yet, I'll have to check if it's within range for the extra workouts because I don't want to get a headache and definitely don't want to lose muscle. I'm feeling great with high energy, some soreness from the arm workouts yesterday.I'm hoping for some beautifully shaped guns by the end of this summer.

Hsppy Sparklin Saturday to a... Sat, 9 Jun 2012 11:13:51 EST Day 6: Mini-Burst & Arms http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4918378 So the day has flown by. The eating is fantastic as well as the energy. Today's cardio is mini burst for 20 min with a 5 min warm-up and 5 minute cool-down. I even snuck in Chris Freytag's fat blaster and it was the BOMB! Yea, since I visited the DVD prior to doing the workout, I was amazed at how I was able to keep up and nearly knew what steps would come next. Usually, I tend to have two left feet so I was at awe with myself.

All in all, there was no summer school, and my day ha... Fri, 8 Jun 2012 23:18:07 EST Day 5: 2 WTBT http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4916999 I'm feeling energetic and I even slept better than I have in a very long time. You see, I tend to sleep very well with at least 6 hours sleep, but I may wake up for about 15 min whereas I read some and that does the trick and I'm back to sleep. However, last night, I slept straight through the night without any movement that I am aware of and for 7.5 hours. I woke up feeling wonderful that I went and put in a 30 min workout, returned, showered and off to summer school.

At school w... Thu, 7 Jun 2012 22:46:57 EST Day 3: 2 WTBTA http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4914146 I got a really bad headache this morning and I thought the loaded breakfast carbs would alleviate the throbbing as the day went on; however, it made for a long day because the carbs didn't do it. Perhaps something else was going on. I realize that the temps have been up to 109 degrees and I have to be outside for summer school duty, yet I feel I am keeping hydrated that perhaps I may need to increase my H20.

As far as strength goes, I didn't get in as much as I hoped to since I wa... Wed, 6 Jun 2012 02:04:37 EST Day 2: Two-Week TBT http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4912316
Pics are here! This is 178 lbs. on this 1st week in June

What a tough day! I was to find a moderately steep hill since today requires an incline workout of approximately 1/8 mile long. Hummm. Well, I decided to simply get it over with by completing the workout on the treadmill. This was 30 min however I put in 45 min. Yea! Sweatin bullets...whe... Mon, 4 Jun 2012 22:14:34 EST Personal 10-week challenge has begun...photos are coming ;-0 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4910848 I'm downloading photos and ready to begin this 10 week challenge. I ate very well today and also got in my exercise to include both cardio and strength as recommended in Chris Freytag's 2-week Total Body Turnaround. I also did 2-sets of the Sexy Leg workout as challenged by Motiweightion, one inspirational hot mama, I must add. I added 8 lb weights to the squats and lunges. I know I will feel it tomorrow and I am really good with that. I know motiweightion will be completing her 6-week sexy l... Mon, 4 Jun 2012 01:04:48 EST 2-week Total Body Turnaround Jumpstart! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4909518 It's the summer and now I have time to devote the next 10 weeks to ME! No more students, data, deadlines, grading, lesson plans, early morning meetings, playground duty, and oh yea...the panrents too; bless their wonderful hearts. No pressures nor push for that blissful drink....a chilled and refreshing sugary, flavorful, caffeine stimulating, emotional-go-to drink - Dr. Pepper! Now, I've got that under control and have replaced it with tea or lemon water in preparation for the summer cleanse... Sun, 3 Jun 2012 01:50:26 EST My personal 10 week challenge starts now! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4909499 There are 10 weeks before school begins which is plenty of time to commit to shaping me again. Every summer, I focus on my weight which is helpful since I don't have students, data, testing, behaviors, and all that pushes my emotional triggers and weaknesses that lead me to my tempation food list. However, during the summer, I can genuinely focus and refocus on ME!

To begin with, I am sticking to my meal plan as directed by Chris Freytag. I'm going to jump-start the next 2 weeks w... Sun, 3 Jun 2012 01:12:32 EST Good ole Dr. Oz and healthy advice http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4909021 Recently watched Dr. Oz and his show on adding Vit D to one's diet. He also shared the benefits for adding more D's to support healthy weight loss along with improving the strength of bones to avoid osteoperosis. Yea, I'm getting to that age where I need to pay attention to this. I want strong bones and I have added weights to my training so I strongly beleive I'm in need of adding Vit D and Calcium. It's a plus and a new addition to my meal plan.

So how's your month starting? Wha... Sat, 2 Jun 2012 17:00:31 EST Been out but not giving up! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4901385 I've been out for awhile. Got the orders that my teaching position is being moved and along with that, I am moving to another POD so I must pack up all my teaching materials; and there is lots of it!!! Anyway, I was out for a bit and am ready to enjoy this week, which includes getting back in touch with cardio and strength training.

I'm making a commitment this week. I will be making a strong go at it by committing to completing a 2000+ weekly calorie burn. This also includes track... Mon, 28 May 2012 14:57:00 EST
