EARTHHAVEN's SparkPeople Blog EARTHHAVEN's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Quiet day Today I did some gardening and housework. Tomorrow I am going to the gym. I had gone Sunday and Monday and was completely exhausted. I think my body needed the break. Returning to health is not easy. Like my Dr said.. I have to give myself a break and let my body heal in its own time. Wed, 21 Aug 2013 01:08:53 EST Not sore but tired I went to the gym yesterday and today. Forty minutes cardio and some weight training each day. Not sore but I am very tired. Mon, 19 Aug 2013 23:08:37 EST A Year of Breast Cancer It was almost a year ago when I found the lump. I am cancer free now. I had my three month check up last month. My blood work was great. This past year has been a combination of surreal, terrifying and of personal growth. Surgery, chemo and radiation have left my body exhausted and weakened. Everyday I am trying to make choices that only support my health. That includes eating healthy choices, vitamins, being active and keeping my thoughts positive. I want to do the run for the cure b... Wed, 16 May 2012 13:25:27 EST Frustration turned into a firm clear voice. My last blog was about someone who made some comments and I ended up feeling really bad about myself. I spent some time wondering how to have them in my life and yet still protect myself from the feelings that wash over me. From feeling like I am a child again who had done something wrong.

Turns out the only way to do this is to simply speak up for myself. Its kind of funny.. simply speak up.. the truth is, it is simple, but it certainly isn't easy. Some of the hardest things... Mon, 14 May 2012 15:36:58 EST Frustration turned to power I am off to the gym to work off some anger and frustration. I know that the past few months, heck, years have been difficult. Alot of the problems I have had over the years are to due with communication, standing up for myself and feeling I am as worthwhile as the next person. Someone I love dearly today repeatedly called me stupid. I felt like a little kid again. Like I had no voice.

She couldn't be more wrong. I am far from stupid. I also know that my communication skil... Thu, 10 May 2012 13:34:59 EST Needing a spark of motivation I slept 7 hours last night. I woke up with a headache and feeling blah. Wed, 9 May 2012 02:45:38 EST Feeling OK I had a great work out yesterday. 45 minutes on the treadmill and 2 circuits through the strength training machines. Glad I remembered to bring my towel this time. Today I am going to the gym and do the same workout. My goal is to go to the gym 5 days this week. When I woke up this morning I felt as if I had slept really well. 7 hours, and it was a deep sleep. When I opened my eyes, I smiled and stretched like a cat. Felt great. We should all stretch like cats do.

Stac... Tue, 8 May 2012 12:37:16 EST Hello World! My first blog. So here I am. Do other people wonder what to write in their first blog.
