As you can see from my Sparkpage, my weight has gone up and down 75-100 pounds at least twice in my adult life. The last time I lost weight I was wearing a size 6 or 8..... then I gained it back. I kept my size 6 and 8 suits and dresses.... but I didn't keep anything in a size 10, 12 or 14. Now I'm on my down again and the closet is bare~

I'm going t... It's been in the high 80's, but the humidity broke yesterday and it's a lovely 63 degrees now at 7:15 in the morning. Yesterday at this time it was 75 degrees. I love fall. I started putting my fall decorations out around the house this morning and I love the way they change the look of things. I'm looking forward to a nice long outdoor walk in a little bit. No Couch25K for me today-my knees need a break!

I'm also looking forward to a g... Sun, 26 Sep 2010 07:31:34 EST Obsessive? Me???? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3651591 I mentioned to my daughter that I did two hours of cardio yesterday (a 3.6 mile walk and an hour on the elliptical) because I had missed the day before due to my work schedule and DH's birthday. Her comment: "Oh, are we starting the crazies again?" You see, a few years ago when I was going to turn 50 I was determined to 'get fit' for my 50th birthday, and I did. I lost over 100 pounds, I felt (and looked) great, I was active, etc. During the process I was totally committed. I kept track of my... Most weeks I walk an average of 20 miles and most of those walks involve one particular road near my house. It’s a fine road with one lane in each direction and a nice wide bike lane on either side of the road. The bike lane is well used by walkers, runners, and cyclists… and unfortunately, impatient motorists! Every day I have to be on the look-out for the impatient driver who can’t wait for one of his neighbors to make ... Fri, 10 Sep 2010 16:26:35 EST A Victory and a Victory! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3608220 Sometimes I fixate too much on the scale and I don't pay enough attention to the 'non-scale victories' that I am achieving in my battle to lose weight and return to a healthier body. I know that... but as hard as I try, I can't avoid weighing myself every day. Today I have a double victory to report. I got on the scale and it said 199.4! Finally- below 200 again! And.... yesterday I decided to try on a pair of old jeans and they fit! Not a squeeze into, but a complete, easy to button and zipp... Sun, 5 Sep 2010 06:54:04 EST What I did on my summer vacation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3586559 As the school year begins I thought I would assign myself the traditional back-to-school essay- write about what you did on your summer vacation.

Beginning on July 1st I went back to school! Sparkpeople school! I learned alot, made new friends (Sparkfriends that is), took daily quizzes (right now I have a 74%..... I need to do better next month) and put my new learning into practice. Oh yeah, there's also daily PE classes where you have to exercise and build your muscles!
<... Most people would say that I have short hair. But, compared to how I've worn my hair for YEARS (let's say 30 years) it's LONG! I've changed it a bit since my adult hairstyle- but mostly I've changed the color. I've been brunnette, red, gray, very gray, brunnette with red highlights, brunnette... Sun, 22 Aug 2010 07:10:17 EST
