We have plans so... rain, rain, stay away, come again another day (or at least in the afternoons so I can run!).

I got a 3 mile run in yesterday later than I planned because my running buddy asked me to wait from 8:30 start to 10:30 start. At 11:30 I went to the Chiropractor and got a neck adjustment (My ear started hurting by 10:30 and I know this is my old C-2 injury) and then ran by 12:30. She... The clean up complete and the gifts neatly stacked. The theme this year for both Luke and I was warm and dry. Cuddle wear, outer wear, fleece shirts and jacket, rainwear for him and I (we got that together), and active wear. New running shoes for me and a Garmin for him (I got my gamin last summer). Happy to run again! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5837853 Man it felt soooooo good to get in the rhythm of the run yesterday. No I didn't break any records time wise but that was not the purpose. I found my groove and actually thought I could run longer. Is was a good run and I didn't get rained on. I felt the pull to run yesterday which was a nice feeling. I ran and out and back route for just three miles to get back running. I was afraid the trail/track I usually run would be flooded so did road running.

I had my 10,000 before c... I think I slept hard and this effected my breathing. Should have used CPap. I fell asleep without it. TONIGHT! I am warming my body with a mini electric blanket and have taken Tylenol. We had a really good time and we had no difficulties other than a little traffic arriving at Nashville around 4 pm on a Friday before the Christmas Holidays. It was beautiful at the Resort. Near the end I just faded. So by 2 pm I started cancelling from the end of the day. The headache was back as was the nausea after lunch. Thu, 18 Dec 2014 07:41:06 EST Better morning awakening...not in pain! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5834283 I came home by 4 instead of 6:30 pm tired and still had headache. Last night I decided to sleep using the CPAP as my thoughts about my symptoms yesterday morning seemed related to breathing problems during sleep. My doc said I didn't qualify to require CPAP anymore but that I could still use it on the low setting it is on. Well indigestion, headache upon waking, numb cold aching hands and feet and tension all over body made me decide to use it last night. I feel 100% better today. I have... Wed, 17 Dec 2014 07:38:30 EST Overall aches and pains http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5833763 I don't feel good. Hurt all over. Headache. Body ache. Up dressed and trying to push through. Usually by now I am feeling better. Today not so much. Took Tylenol, hot shower, slow stretching (no choice its as fast as I can), I am going to try and go to work and see if this passes. If not I will start cancelling from the end of the day until where I am at and go home. Really, I know the difference between pain and normal ageing aches and pain. This is oh too familiar, pain from my pas... Tue, 16 Dec 2014 08:10:10 EST Back to the grind :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5833261 It's a workday and a Monday. It's not a rainy day :) which is gooooooodddddd. Find that silver lining giving thanks in all things to Christ! I am not feeling yucky about Monday today. It's just a day. So I didn't run yesterday. My legs were tired. I got about 6,000 steps. I'm satisfied with this.

I hope to have a great workday. It's full but not a bad schedule today. The hardest day of my month is done. I am also off two weeks at Christmas and looking forward to it :) Mon, 15 Dec 2014 08:21:37 EST Party Success http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5832770 I had fun at the party and forgot that many of these people have not seen me since my WLS surgery. Some just didn't recognize me and had to ask who I was, this was fun! I missed the party last year because of my hernia surgery. I had already lost 100 lbs but many of them didn't know that even then. So it was shocking to some. Aunt Dot was physically weak and could not even walk without assistance of someone and of course is not going to use a walker. She is basically staying with one or... Sun, 14 Dec 2014 10:07:50 EST Aunt Dot's Christmas Party http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5832296 So my husbands Aunt is having her "Brothers and Sisters" Christmas Party today. It has moved from a evening party to a day time party as the Siblings have aged. She and her brother are the only if 13 siblings that remain. For years we were not invited just our parents and they had fun like children. Then as they aged we the children of the "NO CHILDREN ALLOWED" group began attending (as adults) as we had to drive them, decorate for them, and cook and serve them as they aged. We were exci... Sat, 13 Dec 2014 08:43:03 EST Good Day to you! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5831825 Boy I was tired last night. I fell asleep in my chair logging in my fit bit steps for the day. Lap top on my lap. Lucky it didn't fall. My husband said I fought with him about getting out of the chair and bed. He put me to bed like a sleepy baby. He even put my wrist splint on me (my wrist is hurting with the cold returning). He had to log me off and shut down the lap top. I woke up well rested not remembering being put to bed and still wearing my glasses. I don't think I moved all n... Thu, 11 Dec 2014 07:25:56 EST Stressful after all http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5830705 Tuesday offered up some stressful after all. I did better handling it but for a couple hours I was stressed out for a friend therapist who has a joint case with me and the fall out can cause me difficulty. I talked about it with her, prayed and finished the day without high anxiety. I still ran when I got home. The day ended well after all.

We had a bean soup made out of the last of turkey bone soup broth I had from Thanksgiving with cornbread. I was careful with the cornbread... Wed, 10 Dec 2014 08:06:14 EST Ups and Downs of today :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5830161 Tuesday is not such an exciting day. It's not particularly a long day or stressful but I have the "I don't want to go's" today. I would just like to stay home. Not sick just don't wanna. Well hey, it might be time for a little prayer after tying this and getting my attitude adjusted to I am gonna rock this! Otherwise all is well.

I got my steps in yesterday on the treadmill but forgot to set my watch for tracking my Garmin Foot pod. Next time :). Probably today as Alabama ha... Tue, 9 Dec 2014 08:39:27 EST dry cough, cough, cough http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5829504 Oh well, the cough continues but is not worsening, just hanging on. I get off early today and have a run/walk date with my girl friend L. We went yesterday and we walked about a quarter of the way at minimum. We got three miles done and my steps accomplished in the after noon. It was a pretty afternoon if not breezy. This cough is usually gone within a couple hours in the morning and I felt some breathing issues with getting deep breaths when walking but no coughing. I had 12,000 or so ... Mon, 8 Dec 2014 07:40:26 EST Less frustrated today :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5829012 I am feeling better except for this cough. Something is still not right with the sound system, not my fault. I will help him today with it and with the HDMI cord problem. I think it's the direct TV receiver myself, but not really sure. He got the remotes programed after the game and I left the room. He read instructions. So it's a new day. I don't have a headache, I don't feel rushed to get the picture up and going, like I did for the game. So we will work on it some then Go to Church... Sun, 7 Dec 2014 09:16:39 EST Husbands... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5828703 Ok I know you men feel the same about wives sometimes. I however am feeling frustrated with mine over the set up of his HD TV that he expects me to know answers for when I don't. He will have to read his information and figure this out. I begin to feel like he is mad/frustrated with me because my uterus doesn't know the answer. Now I love this man but I am presently sitting here watching Alabama Football and trying to ignore all his comments that I have evidently hooked something up wrong... Sat, 6 Dec 2014 17:01:16 EST Body aches better...inernet is not! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5827975 By 10 am yesterday I was not hurting so bad but didn't feel well enough to go walk either. I had choices. Work that needed done and a invite for a lunch date with my husband. Of course I picked the Lunch date which is not something we can usually do as we work over 30 minutes apart. He happened to be off and in my part of town taking care of some business. The other hour I had free required me to take care of some time sensitive stuff. I had to get a letter ready and release for a meeti... Fri, 5 Dec 2014 07:57:50 EST Early appointment and rain is on the way http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5827398 I woke up hurting, head, shoulders, hips, hands, feet. Only had 6,000 steps yesterday :( don't know I will do better today we shall see.

Gotta go, Have a great day! Thu, 4 Dec 2014 08:17:41 EST Nausea seems to have passed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5826810 I feel like I got lucky and just had a touch of what others have had full blown. The nausea improved as the day progressed. I ate carefully at lunch and did fine then at dinner had hot n sour soup and egg roll with no complications. I feel ok this morning. The burning and acid worried me because of the RNY and small pouch. So much concern was engrained about not getting ulcers. I take omeprazole each morning still. The Doctor told me after 2 months I didn't have to take this but when I... Wed, 3 Dec 2014 07:31:20 EST yucky stomach http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5826255 I started having sour stomach, burning, edge of nauseated stomach yesterday. This morning it's not as bad but I still have it. I took omepizole and Pepcid which managed it. I am afraid it's the beginning stages of this stomach thing going around in Alabama. My husband has had diarrhea the past two days. I fear that's yet to come for me.... Presently I am hanging in there. I worked but just didn't feel great.

I slept great and late. I was up a little late as we slept in yesterday. I awoke today hearing scriptures in my mind. It's a nice way to wake up. I read a lot of motivational quotes yesterday for running and several were scriptures that people find strength reciting when they run. My favorite if Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

I had about 9,000 steps yesterday. I didn't go down and run. Mon, 1 Dec 2014 07:07:07 EST Great Alabama Auburn Game...ROLL TIDE! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5825334 Yesterday my husband and I did a 3 mile run before leaving for Tuscaloosa and Alabama Auburn football. After we arrived I climbed in the back of the van (we park at a local church) and he went an watched football with the guys. I slept for an hour and half. If I hadn't I would never have stayed up for this game. It didn't even start till 7 pm. I am in my jammies usually by 8:30 and in bed by 9:30. So I managed to stay up. What a game. It was a nail biter for the first half! Oh my Aub... Sun, 30 Nov 2014 18:39:18 EST 55 inch 4K TV and Bose sound system http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5824606 Well my shopping is done. Thanksgiving day we decided after the movie to check out the Best Buy line on a whim. We came home with a 55 inch 4K Smart TV, my husband is thrilled. He has been waiting for out Living Room TV to just die so he could justify it. Well 700.00 savings got it bought. They had a ticket for it left when we joined the line. We were shocked they hadn't given them all out. A guaranteed ticket and not a very long line only 30 minutes before the store opened! So hey w... Sat, 29 Nov 2014 09:01:52 EST Not fighting the crowds today looking forward to Roll Tide tomorrow! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5824170 The tradition used to be to black Friday shop with my sister in laws. As we have aged they no longer go and generally keep the grands while the parents shop. I am snuggled up in my chair watching the morning show. I asked my husband were we going to walk and he said "after it warms up a little". So the plan is having a nice run, then I am going to sew and watch the Macy's Parade I recorded from yesterday. Maybe a little shopping at the outlets after the crowds thin out later this afterno... I improved my split time and finished 6.2 miles in 1:28:51.

We went out to lunch and went to see Mocking Jay Part one. It was good. We swung by Best Buy just to check out the line and got there in time to get a ticket for a 1500. TV for 899. So we stayed and my dh is a new owner of and 55 inch 4K TV. Merry Christmas! Wed, 26 Nov 2014 07:17:18 EST A little reactive hypoglycemia http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5822669 My mom had hypoglycemia that she discovered after passing out when walking a couple of times, and accusing others of pushing her down. So hypoglycemia and diabetes runs in the family. I got WLS surgery as I was heading on an unhealthy path which would have been diabetes next. I have never had hypoglycemia before surgery. I had a P3 snack about 3 pm and we went to Bass Pro to order the dh a rain jacket for Christmas about 5 pm. I ate some peanut butter crackers which I generally think of ... Mon, 24 Nov 2014 08:18:57 EST Giving Thanks this November http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5821457 I have been practicing giving thanks everyday this November to prepare myself for the upcoming Christmas season. It fills me to realize how blessed I am. The family dinner was great Saturday but seeing family was even better. Not making myself sick through over eating was the greatest. I did eat. I had winter squash soup, turkey, Table spoon of seven layer salad, table spoon potato casserole, spoonful of carrot and apple, table spoon of Kale and got that pumpkin pie. My niece made a pu... The food is ready for the oven and the oven programed for preheat by the time we get back. Love that feature. We will go to my sister in laws for a early Thanksgiving dinner today. I hope someone has pumpkin pie so I can have a bite (that's all I will need). I just don't want to feel deprived and a bite will do. I am not happy to have to make the hash brown casserole AGAIN! I can bring anything I want as long as I make this (FOR LIKE 35 YEARS!). ... Sat, 22 Nov 2014 08:24:55 EST What a pretty day it became...#weirdalabamaweather http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5820527 So we went from 19 degrees to 60 yesterday. Blue skies, sun shining day. I even had to take off my long john undershirt in the afternoon to not burn up. So I got my hair cut and then took a walk before having to start work. I got a picture while at the park of the cut and style. I got most of my 10,000 steps in and had no problem finishing with almost 13,000 for the day.

Today I get to sew and will... Maybe a selfie tomorrow. I had a busy day yesterday getting behind 30 minutes at one point, but lunch helped me get back on track. So I ate and walked to the bank and that's all I had time for. I got almost all my steps in but not quite (7800 steps). I feel good about that for a Wednesday. Today is another hard day to get my steps so we shall see. I should have time for a walk at lunch. One can hope :)

I am excited to make some fleece hats ... Thu, 20 Nov 2014 07:55:40 EST 15 degrees at my home in ALABAMA! NOooooo! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5819358 The wind chill is not as bad today but the temp is colder than New York they say. My friend has frozen pipes this morning! Thankfully we do not have this problem. I am dressed in layers for the day and have taken my shoes if the 50's and sunny skies they predict today (without wind) actually arrives. I will try to walk at noon if I can. Otherwise hello treadmill tonight. Still giving thanks I don't live in colder states dealing with ice and record snowfall

I got my run in on ... Wed, 19 Nov 2014 08:05:05 EST 36 degree high in Alabama....brrr http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5818843 I know this is nothing to the parts of the US that freezes and snows but for Alabama this is cold. Well I got a walk/run in in this am on the treadmill and have to get ready and get out of here for work. We got the dehumidifiers all loaded up and the dh has delivered and paid for them this morning. I have done some clean up of all the leaves and tracking from this ordeal but more to do maybe this evening.

Gotta go, Y'all have a good day, ya hear! (in my best southern accent) Tue, 18 Nov 2014 10:00:17 EST Sunday was a low step day :( http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5818170 I am at peace with this. We have had so much going on this weekend that I didn't choose to run on the treadmill (the rain hit this area). I took a rest day. I really did just rest. I watched some tv and cat napped. I watched the end of the Nascar Race with the hubby and had a left over cheesy chicken enchilada soup for dinner. We have enough for a couple more meals as well. Easy peasy day!

The dehumidifiers are still running and the dry out is going well. We moved them both... Mon, 17 Nov 2014 08:17:35 EST House drying out well http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5817649 We ran the heat on high and dehumidifiers all day. I was a little worried about all this running while we drove off for our football Saturday. The good news is everything was OK and working properly with a lot of evidence of moisture removed from the basement. Of course everything ran downward and soaked the ceiling down there. The ceiling looked basically dry on the surface last night. The pool table and furniture that got wet were all recovered well. I sucked most of the water out o... Sun, 16 Nov 2014 09:11:55 EST Not again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5817494 I overflowed the bathtub last night, again. This is the second time. My husband despite being frustrated is a compassionate man. He helped clean it up and we have since talked about me not taking my sleeping medication ever again prior to getting into bed. Never before I get into the tub! Dehumidifiers running again in the house drying it back out.

The game was really good today, BAMA beat Mississippi State! ROLL TIDE!

Tired, good night everyone! Sat, 15 Nov 2014 22:58:41 EST Mall Walk...better than no walk :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5816567 Well, I actually went out to my car to get my shoes to walk at lunch and the wind was whipping (no it's not Chicago) for ALABAMA and cold! No I did not walk. I did have on layers but I decided not too. Instead I opted to pick up lunch for a coworker and I. Fish taco for me (It was good), and walk later.

I really would rather walk outside but opted to put my walking shoes on and walk at the mall before group. Yes, I looked a little funny dressed up and wearing tennis shoes but ... Fri, 14 Nov 2014 07:10:52 EST Temperatures dropping :) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5815999 I am so glad it is not raining too! So we should have a breezy cold day and I am set with layers for the day. It's my long day so I leave here at 8 am and get home at 9 pm. I don't have much time to check in this am. Let me just say I got my steps in with a chilly walk at lunch yesterday and hope to do so today as well.

Everyone have a great day and Keep warm where ever you are! Thu, 13 Nov 2014 07:57:33 EST Another pretty day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5815345 They told us rain then cold. Well it will be 10 degrees colder but no rain (YES!), and yes Thursday and Friday are freeze warnings. It will be really cold at the Mississippi State ball game this weekend too. I think I am ready with some fleecy cuddle wear to put on under my jeans. I also got a thermal care heat band you wear around your waist for lower back. But I am fighting to stay up until 9:30 pm even.

I would have never seen the end of the game had I not cat napped all through it. I started out sagging in the chair. By half time I...
