Better Late Than Never http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5220247 So, I know that this is a bit of a delayed post but I did not want to rush it. Goal weight by the end of the year of 145 192
I am currently at 174 after the holidays. Wed, 23 Jan 2013 14:05:16 EST Laying Off The Calorie Counting - At Least For A While http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5163030 I would like to start off by thanking my sparkfriends! Your response has been overwhelming to my last few blog posts and requests for support! It is great to know you are there.

So, I have decided, at least for a while, to nix the calorie counting. I know that is a no-no in the weight loss world, but I am on a journey to a healthier life and currently, I think it is doing more harm than good FOR ME! I do believe it is important and I have been doing it for years, but honestly, ... Tue, 11 Dec 2012 09:19:02 EST CAN'T STOP EATING! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5157990 I normally try to write positive blogs entries but as of late (a few months especially) I have been having a lot of trouble. I have been hovering the 160's (which I know is not too bad, still overweight, but much lower than my over 200 high). I have been maintain this number but it has been difficult and I am REALLY struggling. I really enjoy exercise and I am keeping that up no problem. Basically I lose a few pounds then gain them back, hovering in the 160s. I keep telling myself to keep with it but it is frustrating.

I have been doing well with nutrition, keeping track of what I eat and only having a few days going off track. Tue, 4 Sep 2012 10:46:26 EST September Challenge Update: Making Progress But Still Have a Ways to Go http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4482341 So, time for an update on my September goal to nix the night time binge. I am definitely making progress but still have a way to go.
I am binging less a night. I think that not allowing myself to eat on the sofa has helped and actually sitting down a the kitchen table for a meal has been good. I always thought it was a waste setting the table for one but I definitely think it makes the meal more special and helps me slow do and actually think about eating.
I also think that addi... Food, I eat healthy most of the time and splurge from time to time to stay sane...but that is definitely where I could do better.

Anyway, I am going to focus on the normal things but pick one thing every month that I know I need to pa... Thu, 1 Sep 2011 12:00:08 EST That Tricky BMR http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4372174 So I used a BMR calculator today and entered my height, weight an age. What I found was surprising...I was still not eating enough calories at the 1lb/wk goal. The lower end of my calorie range was over 100 calories below my BMR! Maybe that is why I am having issues? Anyway, I changed by weight loss goal to 0.75lb/wk which obviously will take me longer to loose the weight though, honestly, with my lack of success as of late it would have taken be that long if not longer. Hopefully this w... I am officially 25 today 44 , as of 5:45am, so I have decided that rather than realize I am getting older 12 (really, I am still a kid a heart 183 ) I am going to celebrate 408 the past 25 years and the blessings 220 and wisdom 414 (if you can call it that?) that it has brought me. To celebrate, here are 25 ... Thu, 16 Jun 2011 14:14:34 EST Watermelon Dreams http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4238645 As I sit here eating my watermelon I reminded of a story that comes up every June. It is of a girl who is turning 6, and her parents ask her what she would like for her birthday. Expecting the normal 6 year old response of a pony, a bike, or a barbie dream house, the parents get another expected response from their daughter: the unexpected answer. She wanted WATERMELON for her birthday.

This is a story about me when I was a kid. This is a story that always brings a laugh. It...
