Yay that's progress. OK now just have to get the food thing right. I am proud of myself that I made my first homemade bolognese sauce. Somehow the food is just more satisfying when you do it yourself . I know it's not "diet" food. Now I have 2 quarts put up so I don't have to buy the jarred stuff and I know what's in it. Lots of carrot, onion and celery !! tomorrow is another day and another change to get better. Sun, 1 Jan 2017 22:19:36 EST New year, new me Yeah I know it's new years and we all every year say the same thing. this year I'm going to lose weight or I'm going to get healthy. Well this year I'm not just saying it. I've got a plan!. My plan includes 1) telling other people to help me stay accountable. 2) I have a health coach who actually keeps watch on my journaling, food and exercise. 3) I plan to get up 1/2 hour earlier so I can "walk" for 10 minutes each morning (I have an elliptical). 4) Planing, planing planing no more just runn... Sat, 31 Dec 2016 22:07:56 EST Carbs, ugh Ok is there anything out there that tastes good and is satisfying and low on carbs? Been keeping up with my exercise, making my fiber goals, protein most days but always over on the carbs. It gets frustrating especially since this is one of those things I'm really supposed to watch because of my diabetes. Well apparently I watch them too well. Anyone else out there remember the old "see food diet" (I see food, I eat it) that seems to be my motto with the carbs. <BR> Short of that complaint e... This morning I saw the article on Spark people about late night eating undoing your day, wow. Just what I was talking about last night. Today has been much better eating wise and thanks to everyone who gave me some get ideas to help with the late night munchies. Been spending alot of time on this site today, did some more shoveling (yes we did finally get snow here in Chicago) even practiced a little on my piano.... Sun, 15 Jan 2012 18:30:05 EST It's night time - Help OK did really well throughout the day, exercised, keep to my menu plan than come 7 pm. The snak monster attacks and suddenly I'm looking for things to put in my mouth. Thank the good Lord I don't have any high calorie things to munch on but still, graham crackers, popcorn, Irish soda bread, all carbs. <em>198</em> I don't know how many of you can relate to this.
