I hope it will improve my skin. I am worried that it will make me bloat, ravenously hungry, and gain weight. Sun, 13 Jan 2013 10:58:23 EST 2nd blogpost today - plateau http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5193326 Earlier, I was reviewing my pictures, updating them, etc. because I haven't updated my pictures since May, 2012. I realized that since May, 2012, a full 7 months ago, I have only lost 10 lbs. That's... discouraging. I have been eating properly and exercising, but I haven't made much progress in over half of a year! I don't know. I guess I'll work harder? Sun, 6 Jan 2013 15:24:58 EST New Year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5193272 OK - I gained 3 lbs back between Thanksgiving and New Years, but the holidays are over and it is time to get serious again. I'm graduating in less than 4 months. My last graduation pictures feature me when I was quite overweight, and for this graduation - my last ever - I want to look my best.

It's go time. Sun, 6 Jan 2013 14:39:00 EST back in the saddle http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5026720 I'm back from vacation and ready to return to some sort of schedule. Let's go! Wed, 22 Aug 2012 17:04:45 EST Vacation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4997078 Goin on vacation with my parents on Friday to Cape Cod. I'm so excited! I am a little apprehensive as well though:
1. I forgot to bring home my scale, so I will not be weighing myself for a total of 3 weeks.
2. We will be eating out a lot. I have a plan in place - bring home half of each meal to either eat for lunch the next day or feed to my garbage disposal father.
3. NO GYM MEMBERSHIP. There is a gym, but I will only really have time to go twice per week. We will be walking... Wed, 1 Aug 2012 21:29:59 EST Awkward http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4989642 When I come home to visit my parents, I am usually only there for about a week. My parents belong to a gym and have belonged since the gym opened, so they usually get me a guest pass for the week. This visit was no different. I walked all the way to the gym only to be told that because they had gotten me a guest pass less than 6 months ago, I am not eligible again.

My dad allegedly called and spoke with the manager and I can use the gym for the week and blah blah but... I still fe... Fri, 27 Jul 2012 17:38:58 EST Paula Deen http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4976213 I love Paula Deen. I think she's fabulous. I love to watch her show from 5-6 PM on the Food Network while I am on the elliptical. I'm always upset when other shows (stupid marathons!) take precedence over her awesome show. I would never EVER eat her recipes - I don't like butter enough - but I love her saucy demeanor.
Wed, 18 Jul 2012 13:20:54 EST Exhaustion http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4966739 I've been exhausted this week. I could barely make it through half an hour on the elliptical these past few days and last night I went to sleep at 7PM and slept right on through until my alarm rang at 7 AM. I guess some weeks are like that. Thu, 12 Jul 2012 08:07:10 EST Bad weekend; do better. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4963914 Yeah - the title says it all! Tue, 10 Jul 2012 12:57:34 EST Grin http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4941881 I had a brunch party at my home the other day and when I was there, one of my friends said to me "what are you... 5'4", 100 lbs?"

I'm not. I'm still more than that, and I know that 100 lbs would be incredibly unhealthy for my height and body type, but I still grinned a little. 6 months ago, nobody would have ever said that. Mon, 25 Jun 2012 15:30:07 EST No http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4933671 Gosh no, what was I thinking? I love food. I love so many types of food. How could I ever think that the Dukan Diet would be a good thing? Living on essentially egg whites? Being "that girl" at parties who eats a blank piece of chicken and a lettuce leaf? I'd never get enough food that way. Tue, 19 Jun 2012 19:25:39 EST Dukan Diet http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4930145 I've been doing some reading about the Dukan Diet... I've never considered a crash diet or anything of that nature before, but I admire Kate Middleton and she went on this diet. It doesn't seem too taxing... I don't know. I'll certainly do more research before I make my decision, but it sounds like maybe a nice change. I don't know if I can afford the cost of all that chicken and meat and stuff. Sun, 17 Jun 2012 13:32:39 EST OK well... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4918998 Well, I never actually started running on Tuesday. It's definitely going to be one of those activities that I look for any excuse to avoid. I have planned a rigid workout schedule for next week though, so starting tomorrow, I'll put my running shoes on and take to the streets! Sat, 9 Jun 2012 14:10:41 EST Runnin http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4911685 I think it is time to start teaching myself how to run. It's been one year since my second foot surgery and except for one minor pain episode, I have been fine. I have charted a 0.5 mile course for tomorrow morning to start. The problem is that people say I walk with a shuffle... I wonder if my run will be as weird as my walk. Mon, 4 Jun 2012 14:16:45 EST Back from Wes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4904754 Another trip to Wesleyan inevitably means a weekend of ignoring my calories, not really exercising,... and then punching myself in the head afterward.

This time, sure, there were more calories - party booze, restaurants, cookouts - but I still exercised some and learned to take some and leave some - I don't go up every weekend, but I sure enjoyed it and it was sure worth it. Wed, 30 May 2012 18:10:46 EST Well http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4893597 Went down a couple of inches around the tummy. Went down some more pounds (finally leaving the 137 plateau it seems!). Tue, 22 May 2012 20:53:05 EST Gym woes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4887860 I really haven't felt like going to the gym these past couple of days. I didn't go today or yesterday... or the day before :O

I think it's OK... everyone deserves these weeks every so often. I'll do better starting tomorrow. I haven't combined my gym slacking with binging, so I think it's OK. Fri, 18 May 2012 21:44:55 EST Zoo http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4869449 I went to the zoo with my family today. We were there for 3 hours walking briskly, but stopping to look at the animals. We saw a mother kangaroo drop a joey from her pouch! It was awesome! Sun, 6 May 2012 21:11:16 EST What the doctor said http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4868215 The doctor said that I am very comfortably in a normal BMI and on the right track! She was very proud of my weight loss so far! Sat, 5 May 2012 22:05:31 EST Mix it up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4842511 I need to change up my workout routine. I think that's part of the reason why I am living on this plateau. I think I need to buy some tiny free weights and do the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. People seem to like that. I need to tighten my tummy up. Thu, 19 Apr 2012 11:56:50 EST Plateau http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4837746 I am living on a freaking plateau. I have been at 138 for like 2 months now. I don't know what to do about it. I will talk to my doctor when I go home in a few weeks, but for now I am increasing the food that I take in. I think maybe I eat too little (800 calories daily) and exercise too much (about 800 daily) and my body is just not burning anymore. I am going to try for between 1200 and 1550 like the tracker recommends and hope that kicks my body back into fat burn mode. Mon, 16 Apr 2012 13:38:30 EST
