First of all, ALL my tests came back normal. EGD, Spirometry, CT Scan, all good. Very happy about that. I had the CT scan since my blood pressures were off from arm to arm. I was very happy with the results even though I knew that I was more than the 70% compliant. I was 88% compliant and I attribute the days when I wasn't compliant to when I had the nose only mask instead of the full face. I lost 1.6 pounds this week which is much better than I thought it was going to be. I ate a fair amount of food on the 4th of July and I really expected to have a gain this week. Monday I should have walked but I didn't b/c my knee was still tender from my 3 mile walk on Saturday. <BR> <BR> Today I got up and it was still a little tender so I only walked a mile today. The first night I went to bed around 10 and kept the mask on until about 330. Not too bad for the first night! <BR> <BR> I had cut the grass earlier that day so I was having allergy issues and I ended up sleeping with my mouth open for some of the night but at least I kept the mask on for most of the night. I just added today's photo. I'm about 9 pounds lighter than I was last month so I'm happy about that. <BR> <BR> I can't really see much of a difference from the front on photo, but I can see a difference from the side view photo. Sun, 27 Jun 2010 12:03:14 EST Sleep Apnea Study Part 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3365811 So last night I had the 2nd part of my sleep study where they hooked my up to all the monitors again, and then fitted me with a mask that covered my nose. Then they attached it to a CPAP machine which basically blows air into my nose in order to prevent my airway from collapsing which would then in turn cause me to stop breathing. <BR> <BR> I gotta say that it wasn't THAT uncomfortable. I'm down to 246.8 this week so that's about 2 pounds from the previous week. I'm VERY happy with my results so far. To date, in 10 weeks I've lost a total of 23.2 pounds. That's slightly above the average of 2 pounds a week. I don't want to get too much higher than that since it wouldn't be healthy so I'll shoot to stay on track. <BR> <BR> Right now, I'm ahead of plan to make it to 200 by my birthday.
