I really need & want to get back on track.
Just bought "Hip Hop Abs". Looks fun & will add a different type of cardio into my workout. Just started lifting weights again after years away from it.
Want to wear a 2 piece this summer!!!
Am going to make a "goal board" on my bulletin board.
Just rambling..... Sun, 3 Mar 2013 19:14:29 EST bronchitis...yuk http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3946641 So, I've been coughing & super fatigued for the past ten days or so. Just went to doc yesterday & he said it was bronchitis, possibly a strain of the flu. That certainly explains why I've been feeling the way I have. I was blaming it on hormones...lol! After turning 40, hormones seem to get the blame for everything :)
Medicine is kicking in this morning. Hope to workout Sunday a.m. before church.
Hope everyone else gets in a great workout today!
Fri, 21 Jan 2011 09:00:50 EST back on track http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2344455 ok, so the summer didn't prove to be the season for losing weight that I thought it might be...so...time to get back on track! I haven't logged my food in ages, so I'm going to start that again. Also started a walk/run program so I can get back into running slowly - and avoid injury & pain!
I can do all things through Christ! Tue, 25 Aug 2009 09:45:36 EST running on hold http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2193107 Well, as much as I enjoyed running, it definately hurt me. I think I did too much, too fast & ended up w/ a stress fracture. So, the race is on hold for now. In the meanwhile, I'm doing some gentler exercises: Wii & yoga!
Tue, 30 Jun 2009 17:27:12 EST running... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2133853 I am really enjoying running...my body, however, seems to be protesting. After a run (about 5-6 miles), my joints hurt, my lower legs hurt (not muscular). So, I don't know if I did too much too soon, or if I'm just doing something wrong. I ran about 6 miles yesterday, and will now wait until Friday to run again (pain!). Maybe I'll cut back on miles, and work my way up slowly??? Not sure what to do... Mon, 8 Jun 2009 15:01:33 EST inspired to run a 5k http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2072523 ok, so I need something to really get me going & "spark" some more weight loss :) ! Tami (TAGPOINTE) has inspired me to run a race. She is rockin' it with the weight loss, so I thought her example (she's training for an 8k) would be a good one to follow.
The 5k is in mid-July. So, I'm going to look for training programs online that will help w/my speed. Any suggestions?
I can do all things through Christ. :)
Mon, 18 May 2009 14:35:38 EST week 1 weigh-in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2045342 ok, so I only lost 6/10 of a lb this week...once again because of my undisciplined nutrition. Even so, being involved in this challenge has helped me to be more careful - 2 out of the 4 days I stayed in my calorie range. Next week will measure a full week being on the challenge & I hope to lose 2 lbs.
I'm very hopeful & thank the Lord for this support system!
Fri, 8 May 2009 12:58:58 EST the challenge is here! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2035518 The Sparkers for Christ challenge started yesterday and I'm so glad. I already feel an increased accountability to my teammates. I pray that this will really help keep me on track with my nutrition!
"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16 Tue, 5 May 2009 12:54:18 EST at a stand still http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1992041 Well, no loss again this week. Just proves what we all know - exercise without the right diet will not result in weight loss.
I will do better. I will lose weight. I can do all things through Christ! Tue, 21 Apr 2009 08:45:51 EST bummer http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1971120 Well, no loss this weigh-in. Of course, it's my own fault. I went over my calorie budget atleast 3 days this week! Exercise I enjoy, eating well consistently has always been my struggle. I'm not giving up! We'll see what this week brings. I'm hoping for a 1.5 lb loss.
I can do all things through Christ. :)
Tue, 14 Apr 2009 09:20:33 EST a loss! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1940327 Again, I was happily surprised at my weight loss (1.8 lbs). Even though it's coming off slowly, I'm glad it's coming off. Like I said before, I'm not giving up. Christ provides eternal hope!
Tried a Spinning class today...wow, it was crazy. Very challenging, but felt great to finish!
Fri, 3 Apr 2009 15:13:25 EST surprised http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1877916 I can't believe it, but I've lost 2 lbs! Praise the Lord! That was such a boost to me this morning. It also really made me reflect on all of the mistakes that I've made. If only I had been staying on track w/my food...I can only imagine how much better my results would be. So anyhow, I'm off to buy The Eat Clean Diet book today. I think that's really the key to making me FEEL better (more energy, etc). From what I'm reading, it is also key to looking better. :)
Sat, 14 Mar 2009 08:20:09 EST struggling http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1869892 Keeping on track with food continues to be a struggle for me. It's getting better...just very slowly! I try to track everything that I eat (even when I know I've gone overboard). "They" say this works. I'm going to keep at it!
Weigh-in in 4 days!
Wed, 11 Mar 2009 12:45:49 EST
