Wed, 11 Mar 2009 14:54:17 EST AWOL This Saturday I went awol. I had a craving for apple pie and custard. I told myself it wasn't going to help my efforts and I went ahead and had a HUGE serving all the same! Later in the afternoon it was tortilla chips that claimed my attention. I avoided them and snacked on nuts instead - about 50 grams! I tried to feel guilty about my lack of self-control but I felt more like "what the hell"! <BR> I thank SP that at least I tracked it all down and the following day I was able to curb ... Mon, 9 Mar 2009 00:28:07 EST SCIATICA - WALK AWAY FROM IT! I confess, I had a bad week with three celebratory dinners. My resolve left me after the first dinner party and I just didn't try after that. Result, at the end of the week after having eaten a particularly delicious (as in loaded with calories) meal, my right leg started going numb like I had ants walking around in my foot. I sat for a while and it calmed down. I got home and went to bed. The next morning wow! I felt like someone had driven a steel rod into the small of my back, clampe... Tue, 3 Feb 2009 13:36:56 EST FORWARDS EVER, BACKWARDS NEVER <BR> I joined SP in August 2008 and I sceptically eased myself into tracking nutrition, sleep, water and exercise. I was afraid that after a while I'd start seeing hints of good results and then start backsliding again as I've done over and over again in the past. On the contrary, I actually put on weight to begin with. I persevered till about October and realised I'd actually stopped bingeing on crisps and biscuits.
