Fri, 26 Feb 2016 07:00:54 EST The First Crack?? Had a few crackers and a pb and honey sandwich after dinner last night. First snacks I've had in two weeks. Breakfast was 2 pieces turkey bacon, 2 pieces toast, oatmeal, lunch was Popeye's with 3 pieces chicken, biscuit, and fries, and an ice tea, dinner was salad, peas, and a pork chop. I think I overdid it. <BR> So, today's a new day and it will be good to get back on track. Thu, 25 Feb 2016 07:47:21 EST Week 2 Done Struggled last night - had a snack of peanuts. A rough day yesterday eating-wise - had a banana very late (10am?) and then just a bag of goldfish and a pb & honey sandwich. Avoided the sweets at the office. Had a small salad, bread, and a smaller plate of spaghetti for dinner, so all in all didn't do too bad. Will weigh myself shortly. Wed, 24 Feb 2016 07:45:50 EST Monday Night Had too big of a dinner. Could of eaten just half of the sandwich instead of the whole thing which made me feel like a pig. Other than that the day was good. I can still feel the sugar urge, however, and certainly the snack urge. I am going for the full six weeks of being in control. Sun, 21 Feb 2016 09:13:44 EST Yesterday's Meals Had two chicken thighs from Safeway for lunch yesterday. Pretty greasy and doughy - probably shouldn't have done that. For dinner had 3 pieces of pizza and a salad. Should of stopped at two pieces. Did manage to avoid the delicious cupcakes at work - that was a real test! Fri, 19 Feb 2016 08:10:03 EST Day 8 Took the dog for a walk, had a cheeseburger and fries for dinner on top of two guacamole tostadas - could of done without one of those and had a salad, but did great otherwise the rest of the day. Onto Day 9. Thu, 18 Feb 2016 08:12:02 EST Week 1 Done!! Actually made it a whole week on the new diet. Amazing! I'm going to weigh myself this morning, although I don't expect to see anything great. But....I'm going to try to add in more exercise this next week. Even tried on my size 36 jeans in the hopes they might fit, but it's not time yet, so that will be my goal for the next week to see how much closer I can get. Today's weigh in was 213.2. I would like to weigh 210 at the best and 211.2 at the worst. We'll see! Wed, 17 Feb 2016 07:31:29 EST Day 6 Tough Didn't make a proper lunch which was silly. Later, after dinner, was super-stressed by computer issues and really wanted to snack, but didn't! Made it thru the day and night and here I am now at Day 7. One whole week! Woohoo!! I ate way more rice than I probably should have as well as a whole appetizer of eggrolls (two). The rest of the day went pretty well, however. No sugars (juices, donuts, cookies, etc). I am hoping that it will make an impact on my weight and get me started in the right direction again. I'm hopeful that I've lost at least two pounds. I did great on my excercising and fairly well on my eating, so I'm hoping it will pay off. After dinner, however, I lost control and munched out on almonds, chips, and malted milk balls. Sounds gross, I know. I think I worked out so much (7 miles hiking) that my body needed more calories. So, I could have done better by chosing fresh fruit or ANYTHING healhier than the crap I chose. Today's resolution is to do much better and to make BETTER choices. Did the healthier choice rather than the bacon and eggs, home fries. Did get 6 donut holes and enjoyed every last bite of them. Mostly due to the stress of starting class and trying to get things caught up and ahead at the office. Plus it was a very stressful week and I ate into the high range and a little beyond on several days, so I'm not that thrilled with myself. I'm planning on making today and the rest of the new week a much better one. Sat, 18 Aug 2012 10:26:56 EST Goal Met and Goals Set Got below 190 pounds finally (188.8) and now my new goal is 185 pounds by September 1st. Then I'd like to get to 180# by November 20th. Ultimately, I want to end up weighing between 172 and 175 pounds, which is what I weighed when I was 22. Total weight loss will then be approximately 40 pounds. WOOHOO! Sun, 5 Aug 2012 21:13:21 EST Two Days of Hiking Yesterday was tough with a lack of energy, but still hiked 6 miles at altitude. Today had much more energy and did three miles at altitude. Feeling better and being more active and engaged. Short term goal is to be 190 by August 20th - very doable. Longer term is to be 185 by November 20th, also very doable. Went to a wedding reception and didn't have any appetizers and only a 3 oz glass of red wine. Ate a very sensible lunch. Ate a very late dinner, but kept it in check.
