DEEVEE46's SparkPeople Blog http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal.asp?id=DEEVEE46 DEEVEE46's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community SparkPeople.com http://assets2.sparkpeople.com/assets/nav/logo_spark.gif http://www.sparkpeople.com/ Lost a month and some http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5177622 So sick for so long. I finally gave up after a month and went to the doctor. No fever, no infection. Just wait it out. So now I'm back after getting through Christmas craziness etcetera.

We've entered a competition with Allen's brother and his wife to lose weight. Last time we did this we won! This time they want it by percentage, not the number of pounds lost. They feel this would be more fair. So I've weighed in and am gathering up the last of the christmas crud and goin... Thu, 27 Dec 2012 11:28:23 EST My first mile in awhile http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5138878 So I worked up to it, being so out of shape. But there's a mile on the treadmill. Lets see where that leads. We have just agreed to go on our first cruise in July of this summer, so I have 34 weeks. I haven't worn a dress since I can remember, nor a skirt for at least two years. I can't lose every ugly pound by then, but I can do some.
Sat, 17 Nov 2012 23:42:49 EST Lassooed by Twinkie the Kid http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5137857 The news came on as we watched the conveyor belt at our favorite sushi joint.
"Hostess closes doors". I had eaten nothing at lunch but beef broth and apple sauce in preparing for a trip for sushi tonight. I'm tracking everything and losing weight.

But the gut punch of never having a twinkie again? Ho HO? DING DONG? We ran to the store and watched as a lady pulled the last box of chocolate twinkies. She was on the phone with a companion who was casing other stores. We... Fri, 16 Nov 2012 21:03:54 EST Hubby helps http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5136892 He brought me an apple, all peeled and cut up! He brought me an arbys regular sandwich, so I didn't have to cook on a work night! He gave me some down time so I could play and then keep up my log on the computer. Good Husband. Thu, 15 Nov 2012 22:30:22 EST Follow through http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5135834 I wanted to go home early when my ibs flared up today, but I knew the kids needed me in class. Projects are big this time of year and no sub can do it- and it got frenzied today, without a doubt. Stayed late too, taking delivery on more materials for the christmas projects.
But, I stayed on program and got to this blog without feeling deprived because of lots of the right kind of snacks. I had the energy to walk this evening and felt okay about coming back to Sparkpeople (not too over... Thu, 15 Nov 2012 00:00:49 EST I saw Elvis today http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5134618 What a day. I know I'm not the only person who works hard, but I always feel at the end of a workday like I couldn't have done more than I did. So when I have to watch what I eat, and expend my precious hours off after work cooking, exercising and logging what I ate, I feel robbed. This is a big reason why I fail at losing weight. I deserve to eat because I have earned a living wage and it was hard physically and emotionally.

But while I was on the treadmill, trying to force ... Tue, 13 Nov 2012 22:24:07 EST Like the Tin man gettin' shiny http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5133074 I'm off to get my hair done in about five minutes. I used my little face scrubber today, and a did some shaving as well. I scrubbed my whole self like a vegetable. I'm eating right and I'm thinking about the future. I took my vitamins. Will I be able to continue my diligence tomorrow when work starts again? 9 Mon, 12 Nov 2012 17:48:24 EST
