In 1997, I was in good health and completed a Mini Marathon (13.1 miles) in 15 minute mile and really felt good. I was exercising and planning a full Marathon when I started to feel really funny when I was walking. So little by little I walked less and less and started to feel really nausea. Wed, 24 Apr 2013 08:30:47 EST Long hard journey I have sure missed all my Sparkspeople friends. I have been going through some rough times healthwise and now I found out my hubby has liver cancer. He has white spots on his liver. There is no cure for this. I have been so focused on him I have gotten lost in all this health crisis. Some days I think he is healthier than me. I do know I have much more on my shoulders then he does. This blog is a reaffirmation that I am important, too. My work is sponsoring a "back to Biking program" - it has all kinds of incentives and you get to rent a really nice bike for less than $10 a week and that money can go toward buying any bike you want from this bike sponsor, It is a milestone for me. I plan to ride 3x this week. I found out by accident or providence that they were posting a position in my area. The usual protocol is to let qualified people in the area to know about the position, but they didn't. I do an excellent job at my present job. It is a very important job because it involves meeting monthly contract standards and I don't think they want to move me from this position. Thu, 25 Feb 2010 08:05:31 EST A Great Quote about Commitment from Abraham Lincoln "COMMITMENT is what transforms a promise into reality. It is the words that speak boldly of your intentions. And the actions which speak louder than the words.

It is making the time when there is none. Coming through time after time after time, year after year after year.
