It maps out your distance, minutes, calories burned, and elevation. I have mine to speak to me every quarter mile. It has a tremendous amount of responsibilities and with all new jobs, it can be stressful. My director increased the stress by not supporting me or teaching me what I need to know. He basically told me I am on my own to figure it out. He also screwed up my staff schedule and if there is no coverage for these shifts, then it falls on me to work those shifts on top of my other duties. He is going on a 2 week vacation very soon an... I have literally immersed myself in the paperwork that I miss my lunch. The previous case manager did a horrendous job keeping up with the paperwork and let some very important deadlines go by where the recipients lost their benefits. The client population I work for are all intellectually disabled and live in group homes. Several actually do work in the sheltered developmental training programs doing piece rate jobs. <BR> ... Sun, 8 Dec 2013 08:55:30 EST Day 248 - Mentally Exhausted Wow, just WOW! <BR> <BR> I really dove in head first with my new position! I do just about everything that has to deal with clients, staff, guardians, parents, nurses, etc... <BR> <BR> There are mini crisis everywhere I turn and applications to fill out for clients and deadlines to meet and coordinate staff with clients for appointments, etc, not to mention entering data, creating IPs, case notes, etc... As well as paying bills, getting grocery money, petty cash...not to mention the upkee... Wed, 4 Dec 2013 22:13:45 EST Day 247 - Stuff My mom is still in the hospital...Anticipating another two weeks to clear up the infection, eliminate the multiple little blood clots with meds, and put in a pacemaker. Tue, 3 Dec 2013 09:05:02 EST Day 243 - My Mommie My mom went in to the hospital several days ago for a heart induced heart attack with the alcohol test. Her left side is blocked. Afterwards, she went went into another, not scheduled heart attack but was quickly pulled out of it with the temporary pacemaker. <BR> <BR> So...she is slated to get a permanent pacemaker and defilibrater put in. It was supposed to go in last Wednesday but she developed a low grade fever. We are hoping today her fever has broken and she can get this procedure ... I am worried now that my student loans kicked in with my first payment at the end of this month. I am tired of working all my weekends and g... Sat, 2 Nov 2013 18:36:16 EST Day 215 - October was Not a Great Month I tallied up my walking / jogging for the month of October and I only did 38 miles. It is still slightly over a mile per day, on average...but no where near the usual 80+ miles per month. I have been working a ton of hours in October where I had a 20 day streak going without a day off.
