Getting up early and coming home late. Plus, my TOM is visiting which is just making me feel blah.

I have half...maybe slightly less than half the gumption to get up from my chair and head to the gym. My eyes are sleepy.

My last time at the gym was Saturday morning. I seriously need to get back. Wed, 28 Jan 2015 17:52:42 EST To Gym...or Not To Gym http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5863342 I really want to go to the gym...but it is that nasty time of the month. ugh! 24

Why do I always feel so blah and sluggish? 15

I could walk but it just doesn't seem like a "workout", especially when I have to go out in this frigid cold that is misting frozen ice pellets. Mon, 26 Jan 2015 22:36:18 EST What a busy Saturday! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5862060 Due to my call-off the first part of the weekend, I was responsible for passing meds at my residential group home. Sun, 25 Jan 2015 08:58:22 EST Work Prevented Me From Going To The Gym http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5861268 I am somewhat upset that I was unable to go to the gym to walk / jog. Because of my call-off yesterday, I have subs today who cannot pass medication to the clients. I also had to train the staff on the clients. Simultaneously, I was training new case managers at the home too. Whew!

I literally worked from 8am-8:30pm with a very quick lunch speaking with a client's mother.

It is now 9:45pm and we just finished eating dinner.

I am ready for bed. Yesterday, I jogged almost an hour straight. My hips were aching and sleeping on my hips caused a lot of discomfort.

This morning, it settled in to my lower back. Sitting hurts but if I am still, the pain will go away....until I have to get up! Oh the stiffness!

Decided to take a day off from exercising. I am thinking that this is going to be easy. Probably because I am using the muscles needed to jog. 416 I hear people (presumably seasoned pilatiers) that are making grumbling noises...but I am doing alright! 334

Then we moved on to sit-ups. I had a doctor appointment with an allergist, dreamy looking doctor. 211 I did not pass, I was more borderline, with the breathing tubes. He decided that I was good enough to do the skin prick test to see what I am allergic to. 40 Well, apparently, I am allergic to trees, grass, mold, dust mites, ragweed, dog, cat, and cockroach! 24 Yup, cockroach! Fri, 9 Jan 2015 21:06:09 EST Shoulder / Neck Pain http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5849891 I have no idea why I have this annoying shoulder and neck pain! It hurts!!!

I am thinking that when I walked and jogged at the indoor gym track and then left quickly to go home in the freezing sub zero weather, the cold got to my shoulder and neck causing the muscle to injure. This is the only explanation that I can come up with....

Either that...or I am dying...I am such a hypochondriac! Mon, 5 Jan 2015 22:49:41 EST Doing pretty good! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5845453 I am doing pretty good with tracking my food, water, and exercise! I think the hardest part is actually getting motivated to go to the gym. I feel like I am a slow starter where I have to walk a mile just to warm up to exercising harder. However, it is getting easier to head to the gym since I am trying to make a habit out of going each day. If I just walked a mile, then it was a success. But since my son takes my car on weekends, I get dropped off and picked up. So, I have to remain at... I walked the upstairs track. It took me 2 hours to walk 2 miles, ugh! On my day off I had to deal with 3 call offs from my work. It was impossible to find coverage! Who wants to work on New Year's Eve??? Well, we ended up closing a couple group homes and had New Year's Eve "Parties" for the clients that were displaced in other homes. Yay! I am so thrilled!

I plan on starting up again with my weight loss goals and get back to where I was when I jumped off the wagon. I have gained at least 10 pounds...it could have been worse with gaining the full 30 back that I had lost a year and a half ago.

My jeans are getting incredibly uncomfortable and I really do not want to purchase the next size up. Talk about scanning mega-documents into a .pdf format and saving to certain locations on the new company software...as well as switching old material from the old software into the new software. Sigh... I've come to realize that everyone else ... Sat, 1 Mar 2014 10:38:02 EST Day 317 - Still Here! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5619426 I have been working mega hours that just zapped me away from any form of exercising and on some occasions, good food choices. My training is almost complete - I missed a training session due to flight cancellations to get home for the training...which should have been cancelled!

I am almost caught up with the 6 months of paperwork and getting everything back into State compliance. I am no longer in a constant panic of who is working at my 2 group homes, one home is missing a hous... Sun, 9 Feb 2014 12:34:36 EST Day 299 - Wow! On all levels! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5602061 Wow that I am one day away from 300 days on this journey! After accepting my new, full time position, I found it extremely difficult to get back on track..

Wow, my position I took is a huge mess! I don't know if it was a good or bad thing to get the company's software installed onto my new laptop...I worked the entire weekend, from morning to night. My butt is sore! LOL I still have mega hours to go to get to where I feel comfortable...

My director is HORRIBLE! Majo... Wed, 22 Jan 2014 08:46:29 EST Day 289 - Took Several Weeks Off From Here... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5591710 I have been extremely busy with my new promotion. It is very discouraging when I do not get support from the director. We had a staff meeting headed by the director and he was just lying through his teeth saying how he is very much on top of things...and he was looking right at me when he said it. Grrrrr.....

This weekend is my first time being On-Call, which means I am responsible for about 8 other group homes.

-------

My son, his girlfriend, and I flew ... Sun, 12 Jan 2014 22:06:08 EST Day 274 - Still Holding Steady! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5574201 I am still holding steady with my weight. I did make several not so good choices in the food / beverage department....soda, icecream, cheese, sausage, & crackers, Chinese food, pizza....yeah definitely not good choices...

But I am keeping my intake at a moderation!

Today was such a nice day that I tried out my MapMyRun app again. This is my second time using it. The first time was jogging right when the heavy snowfall began in 23 degree weather. Today was in the mi... Sat, 28 Dec 2013 23:40:31 EST Day 266 - Eliminating That S.T.R.E.S.S.!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5569758 It been 3 weeks that I started full time in my new position. It has a tremendous amount of responsibilities and with all new jobs, it can be stressful. My director increased the stress by not supporting me or teaching me what I need to know. He basically told me I am on my own to figure it out. He also screwed up my staff schedule and if there is no coverage for these shifts, then it falls on me to work those shifts on top of my other duties. He is going on a 2 week vacation very soon an... Sun, 22 Dec 2013 10:02:58 EST Day 263 - Work Frustrations http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5567852 I just recently got promoted at my job as a case manager for 9 clients in two different group homes. I understand that the transition can be quite difficult, but I am getting so frustrated with the lack of support from my director!

I ordered emergency supplies for the homes over two weeks ago that the director actually had to do for me since I was not hooked up to do It myself...the director shipped it to the wrong home! I literally had to use my personal credit card to purchas... Thu, 19 Dec 2013 09:18:04 EST Day 260 - Working Lots of Hours...Me on Back Burners... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5566061 It's been about 8 days since I blogged last. I feel like I am really slacking off. I have pretty much stopped tracking my foods and haven't been on the treadmill in over a week.

I still step on the scale every day or two just to make sure I am still hovering at my current weight...which I am!

My new job is extremely stress filled! I am responsible for so much stuff it is making my head spin!

I am a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP)... Mon, 16 Dec 2013 22:06:40 EST Day 252 - I Survived My First Week in My New Job http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5559612 I think I put in at least 50 hours of work in my new position. I have literally immersed myself in the paperwork that I miss my lunch. The previous case manager did a horrendous job keeping up with the paperwork and let some very important deadlines go by where the recipients lost their benefits. The client population I work for are all intellectually disabled and live in group homes. Several actually do work in the sheltered developmental training programs doing piece rate jobs.
...
