Now I have to start all over at step 1. And this time I am not quitting. I feel horrible about all this, my Doctor will flip. Ok got to go make a plan of action. Fri, 11 Jan 2013 16:34:28 EST Chaos has happened to me <em>198</em> I started smoking again!!! I know, how did I let this happen, I have got of my diet and exercising. I feel so horrible, and now fibromyalgia has hit my body hard and I can barely move my right arm. And I am in pain. I have been taking 2 extra strength ibuprophen. Anyway now I will have to start all over again. But I will have to wait until this attack is over. I feel so ashamed and just down right horrible. But while I am laid up I got a book on exercisng that I can read unt... Mon, 3 Dec 2012 14:39:23 EST Step 2 Day 13 I did it I quit smoking, its already been 24 hours since my last cigarette. The Zyban really is working. Still getting cravings but I have managed to not smoke. I have a list of things to do to stop me from smoking, excercising, clean the bathroom, go for a walk, play with the dog. There are literally lots of things for me to do. <em>135</em> Sat, 10 Nov 2012 12:16:56 EST Step 2 day 11 Walked to the bank which is 5 blocks away, and since I have been excercising it didn't hurt. No leg pain, no hip pain. I am sure its the excercising that is helping. Woo Hoo!! I can walk, maybe one day I'll be able to run. Could happen!! Now the smoking thing, well I am still puffing but only about 5-7 cigarettes a day. But next Monday this house is going smoke free. I will try hard not to smoke this weekend, then Monday Bam no more. Thu, 8 Nov 2012 16:48:04 EST Step 2 day 8 I have been consistenantly doing my excercises, I have cheated a few times on my diet (halloween candy) . I am ttaking the Zyban 2 times a day and I think I can quit if I get rid of others smoking around me, and the dirty ashtrays have to go. So new changes coming to our house. Mon, 5 Nov 2012 11:20:11 EST Step 2 day 5 Today I start taking Zyban twice a day. Still smoking but today I am going to really try and cut back more. I am having a craving right now and its strong. So there are the 3 D's, delay, distract, do something. Which I am doing and the craving is lesser now. Well I got alot of things to do today so I better get to it. But with this bronchitis I just want to go to bed. But thats a recipe for pneumonia. So gotta move around and cough this stuff in my lungs up. I hate housework, I mean dishe... Fri, 2 Nov 2012 10:40:39 EST Step 2 day 2 well I got a mile walk in today, so that is my excercise for today. I am trying to eat more fruit and veggies but my stomach has a hard time digesting then. (paralyzed stomach). Have to see the Dr today though my lupus is flaring up again and its vascular. This is the 3rd time, the first time I had vasculitis, in by arms was put on a 50 mg of prednisone for 10 days. But it came back, so the Dr put me on prednisone for 6 weeks. But it has come back. And will step up to doing excercises everyday instead of every 2 days. I hit a plateau haven't lost a pound in 2 weeks, so I know I have to excercise more. I just hope my arthritis cooperates its snowing here and I am hurting. But got to excercise anyway. So we have had to hack it out with no money coming in. Friends brought us coffee, and some jams that were made this fall. So I made bread and buns. I know the calorie count on that is high. But I didn't have a choice. So haven't been able to follow my diet. Tomorrow is payday so I will be buying some fruits and veggies, and meat. LOL. Hurray we made it!!! Now to make up a grocery list. Sun, 28 Oct 2012 11:27:59 EST MY Dr.s appointment Went again to the Dr my legs are so sore, it all came back when I was done the flexeril. He is sending me to physiotherapy. He also gave me the go ahead to do chair excercises. Plus I got a prescription for Zyban to quit smoking. So got the tools I need to make my life healthier. Woo hoo I am going to kick butt LOL. Sun, 14 Oct 2012 13:33:29 EST Loosing weight woohoo I have lost 5 lbs!!!! Yay me!!! Only 30 pounds to go to reach my target weight. Still having trouble to quit smoking. Going to phone the Doctor next week and get a prescription for not smoking, thinking of trying Zyban as it helped once before but I never stuck with it. Trying to save money to go away for Christmas to see my folks. Its one of my goals!!! LOL. So small steps do make huge differences. Sat, 13 Oct 2012 11:47:59 EST What I am doing to help my heart First thing I did was research online which proved very useful, then I phoned the Healthy Heart program offered through the hospital, plus got a book called' minding your heart'. I need to loose 35 pounds and to quit smoking. So I joined spark groups with Quitting smoking and one for a healthy heart. I think I need help to quit smoking. I will talk to my Dr about Zyban as it worked for me before. So waiting for an angiogram right now. Tired of the dizzy spells and chest pain. Not supposed to do any excercising until they find out more. So its short walks with my dog Shadow. <em>211</em> Thu, 11 Oct 2012 15:11:31 EST Diagnosed with a heart problem Last week I had a nuclear medicine heart stress test, and they found something wrong with my heart. All I know right now is that its at the base of my heart and the Dr is phoning the specialist to see if I need an angiogram. They kept telling me ' we don't expect to find anything its just a precautionary measure'. So know here I sit wondering what I can and can't do. I am still going to do my chair excercises and go for a short walk. I see the Dr again next Wednesday so I will find out more... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 10:30:16 EST Setback #2 ok ran out of painkillers, the pain is back full force, going to sit on my heating pad most of the day. My goal is to get the laundry done today. My girlfriend Trish is coming over so hopefully she can help. Took Shadow outside for a play in the backyard so I am moving a bit today. Still need pain killers though. Need to stay on this program as well as I can so my plan is to find chair excercises that I can do right now. And I am thinking of making a home program journal, so I can become more involved in my journey. So I am still motivated thank goodness. Sun, 30 Sep 2012 13:15:06 EST set back # 1 ok here is the scoop for today, I broke my pelvic bone when I was 5 years old, now arthritis has set in and its very painful, I can barely walk. So I assessed the situation and realized I needed to take time for the inflamation could go down. I have a paralyzed stomach and can't take any anti inflammatories. But I took some tylenol with codeine because I was in so much pain, and it has upset my stomach somewhat. I had to drop the 8 week loss challenge for diabetetics because a bad flare up co... Fri, 28 Sep 2012 14:20:13 EST Heart stress test had to have a stress test this morning, couldn't eat or have coffee which I really missed. I am concerned my heart will not let me run, I get all shakey when I do. So I figured just walking for now would suffice. I have been reading alot about excercise and nutrition. I think the key is to keep yourself immmersed in the spark program. Always reading and posting and doing what we should be doing. Easy to say hard to stick to. Now to start strength training. <em>213</em> Wed, 26 Sep 2012 16:35:46 EST my motivation came from a strange place I was asked to mentor someone today and I usually don't, as I feel inadequate in my knowledge about the Craft. But as I spoke to this person I realized he really needed guidance so I agreed. As we spoke I got this tremendous feeling of wanting to excercise and do my best with dieting.
