Well it's just in a superficial vein in my leg but It ended up being on the move. So after three Dr appointments, two ultrasounds and one visit to a specialist I am told I can get back to regular activities soon!! That's a relief. I was doing so well before this glitch.

Time to get focused again. I am going to a friends wedding on Saturday. I was hoping to be in better shape for it as I will be seeing lots of people I haven't seen in years. On the other hand I j... Tue, 11 Aug 2009 12:07:35 EST 3 steps forward and pause My last week has been, by far, my worst. I didn't completely fall off my program but I didn't make much progress. My weight stay the same as last weigh in, surprisingly. I even managed to loose half an inch around my waist. But I was slack. There are a number of factors as to why my head wasn't into it but i am not making excuses for lack of focus.

It was hard to spend the time on sparkpeople for one. I just opened an online store for my artwork on etsy - so ... Thu, 16 Jul 2009 08:36:02 EST week 2 It's been 14 days today since I started this journey. I have to admit the first week was easier than this last one. I was more hungry from being more active so I was finding it a little harder to stay on track with calories but happily, I still managed a 2 lb loss!! It would be great to loose that every week.

I am down to 174 from 180 and I am feeling really good. I don't fit into a smaller size yet, the inches on my hips haven't moved much but my waist has gotten smaller so I am ... Thu, 2 Jul 2009 08:26:43 EST Day 6 - weigh in tomorrow. So far so good!

Everyday I have been:
- Turbo Jamming 40-50 min
- Walking my pups 20-30 min
- Counting calories to stay within range
- and three times a week I have been doing a 30 min SP strength training program.

Tomorrow is my first week weigh in. I am hoping to have lost at least a few pounds. I feel lighter and my body feels tighter, so regardless if there is a weight loss or not I am happy with my first week!

I did eat some chips... Wed, 24 Jun 2009 13:42:57 EST Hypo not hippo! My hypothyroid story... it's longer than I thought it would be!
For the past few years I have had trouble loosing weight, sticking to my workout schedules, etc. and chalked it up to being too busy with other things. Then about a year and a half ago I started having symptoms of hypothyroidism, although with no idea that all these seemingly random things were linked to one problem.

I felt tired run down and weak all the time. I felt like I was dragging my body around, forcing it... Tue, 23 Jun 2009 10:17:25 EST Day 1 Day 1 was a success. I think Sparkpeople might just be what I need to keep my eating habits on track. I've always known that there were lots of things I was eating too much of that were high in calories but never could get into counting. This makes it almost fun - and being able to save favorites that I eat often really helps.

I am concerned that I consumed a lot less than I should have although I am sure I was off on a few calorie estimates - especially for my homemade veggie bur...
