We left about 9:30 a.m. and got home about 4:30 p.m. , we drove down to The Great River Road near Alton, IL then up to Grafton for lunch. There were over 16 very steep steps to go up to the restaurant. I did it!!! No wheelchair or scooter!! It was a beautiful drive and we both enjoyed this day so much. Whether it is an injury or sickness that throws you off course it is the "remember" part during that can make such a difference. To choose to keep on or give up is the important part we play. This weekend I went to Bakers Square and had a very big breakfast. I'm learning with maintenance how to eat and live in the real world. So today I'm tightening my belt. I do that by starting my day with a breakfast that I know fills me up and I lost much of my weight eating. Another way is to think vaguely about what one might like to do..no plan. Mon, 2 Jul 2012 10:43:13 EST I'm glad SP uses calories not some tricky formula. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4931356 I've been part of other weight loss groups over the years and I so appreciate the food tracker and other aids on SP that are based on calories not some company based counting system. We will never have to throw our cookbooks out because the system has changed. We can easily figure our counts anywhere we go or whatever we eat. Calories being the universal way of figuring what we need to know.
