I've been a runner for a few years now and I seem to get my runs in easy enough but I've found that my body has become too efficient with running and it does not push my fat burning engine as much as I would like. I think my body has learned how to run efficiently enough and not burn the calories I wish it to. <BR> <BR> One of my new goals is to change up my exercise routine. I bought Coach Nicole's new 28 day Boot Camp DVD thi... Mon, 16 Jan 2012 14:09:54 EST Goals for 2012 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4680920 I've had my goals in my head for awhile and have been meaning to put them down in black and white but it has been just one more thing I've procrastinated doing. As part of the 5% Winter Challenge we are encouraged to write a daily blog identifying a new habit we want to develop, how we will develop it, ways to keep us on track and how to improve upon them. I am finding this to be one of the more difficult challenges. Why? Because I'm not a blogger! I've been with Spark since July 2011 an... Sat, 14 Jan 2012 20:47:53 EST 100 Day Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4590623 Shortly after I joined Spark People in July, I joined the 100 Day Challenge Team. I joined this team to make myself accountable and to make exercise a priority. I challenged myself to do at least 30 minutes of exercise every day for 100 days. In the beginning I had to start over a couple of times but once I made it to 30 days, it had become a daily habit. Some days were hard workouts, an 8 or 10 mile run or a hard cardio workout at the gym. Other days were only a brisk 30 minute walk wit... Fri, 18 Nov 2011 21:24:50 EST It really does work http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4426767 I've done this before...exercise, eat healthy, track what I eat and I've lost weight. I know what to do and I know how to do it. Keeping at it is the hard part. I stop exercising or stop tracking what I eat and the inches and pounds creep back on. Before you know it, you are back where you started which is my case. <BR> <BR> After 5 weeks of my game plan, it does work!! Calories in vs calories out really does work (once I got completely serious and honest with myself). An added benefit... Sun, 14 Aug 2011 20:01:11 EST The Lockout is over - ready to make my game plan http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4394080 I am not a football fanatic but I do like to watch football. One thing I know about the game is that each week the teams have to make a game plan. They have to plan their defense and their offense. They have to push themselves and work hard to make it to the Super Bowl. It does not happen over night. My journey is a lot like the game of football. I have my coaches (my SP friends and community), my cheerleaders (my friends and family), my game plan both offense and defense (my actions a... Fri, 29 Jul 2011 12:29:24 EST
