I had gone quite a distance from my home to a women's health institute for menopause issues, and they are the ones who diagnosed the hypothyroidism. Many things were tried that included a special diet and lots of different kinds of meds, but none of it made any difference for me.

Since it was such a distance from my home, quite expensive, and I wasn't seeing results, after six months I switch... Wed, 15 May 2013 17:04:38 EST Back and on track http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5263522 The cruise with our kids was wonderful. We all came home safe, and life is back to normal for all. Thanking God for that!

I started right in on getting my hour of exercise (5 miles) in 5-6 days a week. It is also nice to be able to access SparkPeople and track my nutrition and exercise. Those silly calories sure do add up fast! I was going to exercise this afternoon, but we had company come to enjoy lunch with us. We sat around the table after the dishes were done, dried and put away, and enjoyed a time of visiting, laughter and just catching up with each others lives. When they left it was getting a bit late in the afternoon. I had planned to go ahead and exercise today, I don't usually exercise on Sunday as it is my day of rest, but as the afternoon waned, the mo... Sun, 3 Feb 2013 17:09:36 EST Making progress http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5233452 When the scale battery died, I didn't replace it. I went into the clinic and weighed in every week. But it was getting to be a bit of a hassle. I live in the country and have to drive into town. So, I decided I would replace the battery in my scale. I told my hubby that I would not let the scale mess with my mind anymore. I meant it.

Then this morning I stepped on the scale and I was back almost to the beginning weight I started with Dec. 2. Let me tell you, the tears were v... Fri, 1 Feb 2013 15:45:59 EST
