Look for Him

God is active in our lives every day. Being alive in the first place is clear testimony to that fact. We need but look for Him in daily events and circumstances and there He is. He wants us to recognize Him and give Him glory. He wants each of us to fulfill His individual plan for us. He loves us and requires that we return the love to Him. A sure way to do this is to love and serve one another. Open eyes, open ears, open heart - He will then be found in all things worthy.

My Goldilocks blog yesterday was met with general agreement and some kind words from friends. A couple of readers who agreed with that balance was a key to a happy life lamented that finding balance was elusive, at best difficult. Right they are.

Perhaps it may not be as difficult to find as it is to maintain. These days we are always looking for a button to push, a pill to take, a website to visit or a magic lamp to rub. Poof! A problem solved, a challenge met, an obstacle overcom...

I grew up in a Lutheran church that practised confirmation. The passage I chose was the 23rd Psalm. Arguably this is the most familiar chapter in the Old Testament, and possibly the most popular. It has remained my favorite throughout my life.

Dropping Out, Tuning In

Today I dropped out of every team I was on but one. I've also trimmed my SparkFriends list based mostly on interaction frequency. Why? Am a so self-centered that I don't need or care about others on Spark? My answer is no, but indeed the opposite.
