My second go around on it, I tried it months ago when I first started back in January. But my legs were feeling tight and I know before that when I got on the elliptical it helped work it out so I wasn't sore the next day. So I got on with my mp3 and choose my new workout folder and ran acr... Mon, 11 Jul 2011 01:21:50 EST Can I be Strong? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4262517 I made a decision last week to be the strong one. There was a death recently, and I debated about adding the mother as a friend on Facebook. I did and sent her a message telling her my story and telling her that if she wanted to she could add me and I would be willing to chat with her anytime.

I lost a child over 15 years ago to SIDS. The first years were me trying to deal with it, I then decided to start seeing a social worker and she put me in touch with other parents who went t... Sun, 29 May 2011 01:03:31 EST I had 2 options with these jeans http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4188411 Today I am wearing a pair of pants that first brought me to my journey of losing weight. When I first bought them about 5 years ago they were so freaking tight I had 2 options, keep them and lose weight to fit them or return them and get a bigger size. I picked #1. I did NOT want to admit I was bigger than a size 18.

Wearing these jeans I had 2 options. Stand all the time or sit and not breath, that is how tight they were. 40 15

So I started out b... Mon, 25 Apr 2011 01:25:55 EST Jillian is mean http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3935696 Yesterday I bought and tried out Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, well I tried it out and did level 1&2 with modifications for me, as I am just not fit enough to do it all.

Today I am feeling it, my legs are killing me, I can stand and sit, but anywhere in between is a killer including stairs. I wanted to do it again today but I just can't. 46 , my legs are just that sore.

Tomorrow is the start of Walking Training for the Vancouver Sun Run, but I will be missi... Mon, 17 Jan 2011 23:57:30 EST Trying to keep myself moving. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3467826 I haven't done as well as I hoped I would. I am still slightly motivated. But I do find reasons not to do my exercises. I am getting it done almost once a week, better than nothing I guess. This week was twice. I am also doing a higher resistance on my elliptical trainer.

I did 2 minutes on 1,
2 minutes on 2,
8 minutes on 4,
1 minute on 3,
1 minute on 2
and 6 minutes on 1.

Was a great work out. When I do the higher resistance I feel like I... Sun, 25 Jul 2010 15:08:03 EST Getting motivated again. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3287044 Well my Sun Run training is over for the year. If you don't know what I am talking about Sun Run is a 10 km walk/run done in Vancouver BC, I have never gone to the actual run but I have trained with the kids/staff at the school I work at. This year we sent about 25 people down, including my son.

Well last year I quit exercising just after we were done training, no proverbial carrot dangling in-front of us, we all gave up. And I had lost most of the leg muscles I had worked up in t... Tue, 1 Jun 2010 01:37:43 EST Had a GREAT walk yesterday but I am paying for it http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2193853 Yesterday me and my son went for a walk. It has been over 2 months since we have done any significant walking. But I needed to get out of the house.

We hit 2 km, and he started to say he was tired, but then we went up a big hill too. So I encouraged him to do 3.

We hit 3 and I encouraged him to go on, with the promise of a Powerade at the store at the top of the next hill. So away we went.

Well we got there bought our Powerades and started back. On the way ... Tue, 30 Jun 2009 23:06:15 EST Garden is set-up for the year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2151221 I have gotten 7 beds up and planted, and I have plants coming out in most of them. It feels great to know that I will have lots of fresh veggie this year from it. I only wish I could have bought some fruit plants for it too. Mon, 15 Jun 2009 01:18:27 EST Getting my garden set up http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2108474 It isn't going to be easy or cheap. We are putting in raised beds this year. We have gotten 3 beds built and filled, have enough soil for 3 more beds. But have enough gardening room from another 17 beds (21 total). I don't think we will have enough money for the whole garden to be raised beds this year.

I did get my 3 beds filled today with transplants I planted back in March.
